EDWINSTOWE and DISTRICT CANINE SOCIETY

Thank you to the society for inviting me to be a part of this lovely well attended show. I was fortunate to have an excellent entry throughout today, with great depth of quality, causing me a lot of difficult decisions. Great to see many youngsters with bright futures too. Thank you to all who entered under me. Finally thank you to the Packs who do a super job stewarding as always, with the assistance of Ava.

DACHSHUND (MINIATURE LONG-HAIRED)

Puppy Dog or Bitch

1 – BOB & BP Browns Sunkissed Candy From Garbosa – what a smart girl! A light cream colour, lovely features and expression. In proportion. Good forechest and shoulders. Good topline, level. Nice rear angles. Covered the ground well on move showing real drive.

2 – Mays Hanishan Firery Fox – Another smart young dog full of promise. Nice overall shape, and expression. Nice neck and forechest. Well ribbed, leading to nicely made rear. Moved well in profile, just feel they didn’t have the movement of 1st.

Class 89 Junior Dog or Bitch

1 – Borwns Sunkissed Candy From Garbosa see puppy Class

Post Graduate Dog or Bitch

1 – RBOB Yates’ Lyndarlea Just Brian Of Irisdax – A smart dog, black and tan and of appropriate size and shape. in good condition throughout. Good head shape carrying a masculine expression. Good length of neck and leading to a well made front. Good forechest with appropriate rib shape, and of length. Held his topline when on the move.

2 – Mays’ Custard And Jelly – Feminine girl with lovely head and expression. Appropriate size if a touch longer that 1st. good forechest, providing good reach. Could have done with more drive.

Open Dog or Bitch

1 – Prettys’ Jaxrubydax Just Bernice – Black and tan bitch, well presented and in super condition. Pleasing head proportions giving a nice expression. Nice neck, good shoulders and appropriate chest shape. good length of ribs and of length. Moved will in profile and width throughout.

DACHSHUND (MINIATURE SMOOTH-HAIRED)

Puppy Dog or Bitch

1 – Corominas’ Scenterbay Rafael For Ruichango – Red 10month old dog, good outline and in proportion. Smart head with good eye. Super front assembly and ribbing. Good level topline which was held on the move. Nice rear assembly. Moved out well and in profile.

2 - Heralds’ Winterfield Lady In Red – Young dog and showing promise. Of good size with Good head, pretty, and in proportion. Good forechest, nicely ribbed and of length. Moved out well and in profile.

Junior Dog or Bitch

1 – Holmes’ Mumysami You’re All I Need – Smart and promising red youngster with good overall size and in good condition. Handsome head, with good eye shape. nice neck length leading to a good front and forechest. Nice shape to his ribs and topline held on the move. Well made rear end providing appropriate movement.

2 – Scotts’ Allerbach One More Time – Black and tan male. Overall a smart looking dog. clean head, nice eye. Good neck length. Ok shoulders and forechest. Nice shape to his ribs. Good rear angulation providing drive.

Post Graduate Dog or Bitch

1 – Roberts’ & Smiths’ Rozamie Magic Moments – Very pretty red bitch in proportion throughout. Pretty expression, nice eye shape. good length of neck leading to a super front. Nice shape to her ribs, and of good length. Good angulation to her rear. Held her topline on the move and was nice picture in profile.

2 – Cross’ Loggeta Establoomingsmall – Pushed 1st hard here, very smart. Pretty head, lovely expression. Nice neck and shoulder placement, ok chest and rib shape. strong loin. Good width also, just felt 1had the edge.

Open Dog or Bitch

1 – BOB – Cross’ Ch Riowood Red Boots JW – Wowed me from when he entered the ring. Red dog, good size and shape with leg length too. Handsome, head of good proportions and good eye. Super neck. Excellent shoulders and forechest. Ribs of good shape and length. Held his top line. Rear angles were good and provided correct drive, with nice width to and from also.

2 – Kents’ Lokmadi Oh What A Circus – A pretty lady, of different type to 1st, and longer cast. Black and tan. Lovely head, with nice eye shape and head of good proportions. Nice neck length and ok front. Good forechest. Ribs of excellent size and shape. strong loin. Nicely put together rear. Good width throughout.

Puppy Dog or Bitch

1 – RBOB & BP - Kents’ Barratini Du Beke At Lokmadi – Smart dog, handsome and upstanding. Lovely head shape and expression. Nice furnishings. Balanced for his age, nice length. Good neck and lay of shoulder providing reach. Suitabably ribbed and of good length. Good rear quarters, providing drive.

2 – Corominas’ Almarxils Diego For Ruichango – Pushed 1st here, smart, and of slightly longer cast. Another masculine head, nice eye shape. Strong neck leading to super lay of shoulder. Ok forechest and shape. Nice rib length and level. Well made rear with width also. Good coat throughout.

Junior Dog or Bitch

1 – McDermotts’ Bardot’s Brigitte (Imp Swe) – Smart youngster, good coat and in proportion for age. Nice eye shape. lovely neck strength and shoulder placement. Good chest depth and shape. nice topline on the move also. Moved out well showing balance.

Open Dog or Bitch

1 – BOB Black & Black - Bothlyn Back In Black Bassodon – A super smart dog, darker shade, that was full of quality. Excellent proportions throughout. Super head and expression, with lovely furnishings. Strong neck leading to super lay of shoulder. Good chest depth and shape, and of good length. Excellent rear assembly. Showing drive in profile and covering the ground well.

Puppy Dog or Bitch

 1 - Vincents - Breezelyn A Long Story At Gainscroft – Black and Tan bitch showing much potential. Smart head, feminine, with nice proportions. Good neck and shoulder. Good chest shape, with depth. Nice forechest. Good topline and well put together rear quarters. Showed well covering the ground with nice width.

2 - Carters - Breezelyn Long Way To Go To Loggeta – Another promising youngster. Smart red coat in good condition. Lovely head shape. Nice shoulder placement, and depth of chest. Strong loin, and topline held on the move. Nicely balanced when on the move.

Junior Dog or Bitch 4 Entries

1 & RBOB Paskins’ - Kindeace Hit The Road Jack – Darker red dog full of spirit. Strong type, and in excellent condition throughout. Good head, handsome, with good eye. Excellent strong neck of good length. Good shoulder, providing good foot fall. Excellent forechest and shape to his ribs, and of good length. Strong loin, well put together rear driving him around the ring impressively.

2 – Negus’ Tarramist Starlight – Smart red bitch, well made and ticked a lot of boxes for me. Different in type for of first. In proportion throughout. Pretty head, good eye. Lovely neck length leading to a good shoulder. Spacious chest with good forechest. Good length of rib and level topline. Good drive from her rear nicely made quarters.

1 Negus’ Tarramist Platinum Aria – Balanced red bitch, in proportion. Excellent condition and showed well. Pretty head and eye. Strong neck, good lay of shoulder. Nice chest and of good shape. strong loin, supporting a good level topline. Well made rear assembly. Moved out well with good width.

2 Chapmans’ Melminds Make Them Gold – Another smart red girl, pushed 1st hard. Pretty head. Nice neck length leading, good lay of shoulder. Chest correct and of length. Nice topline. Good rear angulation. Move with purpose and width.

Open Dog or Bitch

1 & BOB - Chapmans’ Melminds Maybelline – Smart red bitch, unexaggerated, in proportion and in excellent condition. Lovely pretty head, good eye shape. Excellent neck and shoulders. Good forechest and chest shape, of length. Level topline. Good rear angulation. Moved well in profile, covering ground well and with confidence.

2 - Baileys’ Glasvey Double Trouble For Loggeta – A well made red bitch in superb condition. Excellent expression, strong neck, super chest shape. good length to her ribs. Good rear angulation. Plenty of drive and reach, with good foot placement.

1 RBOB & BP - Roberts & Smith - Rayol Cherry Pancake – Youngster of good size and balance. Pretty feminine expression. Nice eye shape. strong neck, nicely made front assembly. Good chest shape and depth for age. Nice length to the ribs also. Good rear angulation. Moved well in profile.

2 Heels’ Daxanory Ravishing Rose – Another nice youngster. Good size and shape. Nice head and expression. Good length of length. Ok chest, of good length. Good topline also. Just needs a little time to mature.

Junior Dog or Bitch

1 – Heels’ Daxanory Menacing Awesome – Still a puppy but showing promise. Of good size and shape. pleasant head. Nice neck and ok chest. Good shoulders, Chest of good size and shape for age. Good angulation and showing promise on the move.

Post Graduate Dog or Bitch

1 – Heels’ Craimose Aquilegia For Rayol – An enthusiastic youngster who shows promise. Good proportions on initial inspection and a nice footfall. Nice head, good eye shape. nice neck leading to good front assembly. Ok ribs and topline. Good rear angulation. Showing good drive and width when moving.

2 – Woods’ Hundpoint Meena Tils – Neat bitch with a nice outline and in excellent condition. pretty head, with good eye. Ok lay of shoulder, chest shape good and well set back. Topline held on the move. Didn’t quite have the movement of 1st.

1 & BOB Starkeys’ Carpaccio Magnum P.i. @ Hamoura – Smart chap, of good size and proportions. Masculine head, good eye. Nice shoulder assembly. Ok ribs, of good length. Nice topline and well put together rear. Moved out well.

1 BOB & BP Cloudside Vincent – Smart dog of good quality and loved his type. Masculine head, Excellent furnishings. Handsome head and eye, neck of good length. Well made shoulders, good forechest and Ribs, of good length. Good rear angulation. Covered the ground well with balance.

Class 109 Junior Dog or Bitch

1 – Howes’ Bramalodge Baby I’m Yours – Lovely feminine bitch with smart head and features. Of good size and substance. Good neck length, strong, and leading to a good lay of shoulder. Good forechest, Ribs spacious and of length. Level topline, which she held on the move. Good rear angulation. Good mover in profile.

2 – Lowes’ Nasiriyah’s Bye Bye Baby – Smart girl, nice outline and proportions. Harsh coat. Correct head, nice eye shape. ok front assembly. Good depth of chest and length. Good topline, with short loin. good rear angulation.

Class 110 Post Graduate Dog or Bitch

1 & RBOB - McPherson & Patersions’ Brumberhill Barbed Wire – Almost gave her BOB, A very smart girl, but just preferred type of BOB. Everything is there, lovely proportions and excellent features. Excellent head, good length of neck, strong. Lovely front assembly, Excellent forechest. Good length to her ribs. Strong loin. Good rear assembly. Balanced in profile with good drive covering the ground well. Finished with an immaculate harsh coat.

2 Farringtons’ - Dollydash Defender Of Faith – Smart dog with a balanced outline. Nice features, correct eye. Good substance, nice lay of shoulder. Good forechest, nice shape to his ribs. Level topline. Well angulated rear. Moved well in profile.

1 Matthews’ Stanegate Billy The Kid At Sonham JW – Handsome dog, masculine, with good furnishings. Of good size and substance. Nice eye. Strong neck of length leading to a well made set of shoulders. Good forechest, prominent. Well ribbed, of length with a short loin. Good angulation to his quarters. In good condition throughout providing a good picture on the move.

2 - Bramalodge Bonfire Heart At Tatze – Pretty bitch with nice head and features. Nice eye. Long neck with good forechest. Good rib shape, of length. Strong loin. Ok rear, and moved well in profile.

1 – Bailey & Yates’ Wilmit Mirabelle For Bonevon – Smart youngster of good size and substance. Super head and expression. Lovely ears and length to compliment. Good neck leading to a well made front. Appropriate depth of chest and shape. Correct tail set. Well made rear with muscle, and drove out well, with good reach to compliment. Good texture to her coat.

1 – Miltons’ Ch Wilmit Independence Day JW – Mature bitch of good size and in proportion. Lovely head, nice expression, and good ears. Good neck, strong and leading complimenting a well made front. Lovey shape to her ribs and of good length. Covered the ground with ease thanks to her construction and condition.

2 – Miltons’ Ch Wilmit Jugeote – really splitting hairs and I am sure on another day, this bitch would take 1st. In proportion, with excellent proportions. Good condition throughout. Nice coat. Head of good size and shape, good doming, and super ears. Nice length of neck leading to nice shoulders, providing good reach. Well ribbed, of length. Strong loin and held topline on the move. Drove out well enough with good width.

1 – Lancashire & O’Donnell and Lanchashires’ Drishaun What Baby Wants – Smart youngster with super silhouette. Good proportions, excellent head and expression with good eye shape. good neck length, leading to a well made front. Elbows close to ribs. Chest of appropriate depth and length. Level topline, and good pin bones. Showing good width throughout. Nice bend of stifle and low hocks. Good propulsion on the move in profile, carrying her tail well. Excellent condition

Post Graduate Dog or Bitch

1 – RBOB Lancashire & O’Donnell and Lanchashires’ Drishaun Don’t Call Me Baby JW – Very pretty lady of good type, with distinctive coat around her head. Well proportioned throughout. Good neck length, and front assembly. Nice chest shape and good length to her ribs. Level topline, short strong loin and prominent bones. Well made rear quarters, nicely muscled and low set hocks. Super on the move with a smooth and balanced movement. Good tail set and use of it.

1 – BOB Lancashire & O’Donnell and Lanchashires’ Drishaun Baby’s In Black JW – Striking black and tan dog, of good size and substance yet in proportion. Masculine head, good eye shape and of equal lengths. Lovely length of neck, well made front, straight and with appropriate depth of chest. Level topline, prominent bones, and tail set. Short strong loin, Good angulation to his rears and low set hocks. Super on the move, springy, with proud carriage of his head and tail.

RHODESIAN RIDGEBACK

I found all dogs showing a clearly defined, correct ridge.

Puppy Dog or Bitch

1 – Barkers’ Delianza What’s Your Motive – A very smart youngster who impressed. Showing good proportions throughout. Clean head, nice lines, and good eyes. Long neck, strong, leading to well made set of shoulders. Straight front, suitable width and good chest depth. Good flow to his topline, strong loin, and finished with well made rear quarters. Balanced on the move showing plenty of power.

2 – Hicks’ Nuthouse Mastermind – Another promising youngster, of good size and substance for age and type. Nice head, good eye, and strong jaw. Good ear set. Strong neck of length. Nicely made shoulders, with a straight front. Fine chest, nice width with good length. Ok rear and in good condition.

Junior Dog or Bitch

1 – Johnsons’ Ungowa On The Road Again – Masculine dog of good size for age. Ok head, good eyes and clean. Strong neck leading to ok front with straight legs. Nice rib shape and ok length. Nice underline, strong loin. Good rear quarters. Drove out nicely enough to win here.

2 – Hudsons’ Mutoko’s Parkers Glory – Smart girl, of good size and substance. Head of equal clean planes. Nice neck, leading to ok front. Chest was suitable and ok shape ribs. Strong loin. Nicely made rear, could have done with more width today but may have been age.

Post Graduate Dog or Bitch

1 & RBOB – Parsons’ Priorpark Proud As Punch JW – Ticked a lot of boxes for me today, balance in style and substance. Lovely head, with super expression finishing off the picture. Good neck leading to a well made front end. Good chest shape, spacious, and of length. Strong loin. Well made rear, showing good power when on the move.

2 – Barkers’ Bonfirebeau Freaky Deaky – Feminine girl with clean head and nice expression. Good shoulder placement. Suitable chest and of good length. Good rear angulation, providing drive. Nice condition throughout.

1 & BOB Scanlons’ Kinabula’s All About The Bass JW Shcex Osw –Lighter in colour, Lovely outline, in proportion and in good condition. Super head, pretty,with dark features. strong neck good lay of shoulder, excellent chest shape, straight front. Good tuck up, strong loin. Good rear angulation providing drive. Was a balanced picture in profile with good width. In top form today not putting a foot wrong.

2 – Parsons’ Ch Priorpark Poetry In Motion JW – Pushed 1st hard here, just think the smaller ring may have played a part. Pretty dog. head equal, nice eyes and expression. Strong neck and should placement. Super ribbing. Good loin length, good structure to her rear. Drove well and a balanced in profile.

I must apologise for the delay in this critique being submitted. Sadly shortly after this show, I had an unexpected death in my immediate family which has taken a little time to get over, and at the time caused me to concentrate my time and efforts on that. Thank you for your patience.
