Lowchen (Little Lion Dog)

MPD (1)

1. Morgan-Stanley & Morgan-Stanley’s Golbourne’s A Diamond. Just 6 months old and what a delight, for a baby he already has a nicely balanced outline and moved out confidently and soundly. Super head, muzzle in proportion to skull, darkest of expressive eyes. Good length of neck, straight front, square body with a secure topline and tail is set on well. His coat was beautifully presented. Promising youngster with a lovely attitude, a close run thing for BP with his brother in the next class and I think they’ll be swapping places as they progress through the classes.

PD (3,2abs)

1. Morgan-Stanley & Morgan-Stanley’s Golbourne’s Just A Diamond. BPIB. Another quality youngster, litter brother to MP winner. Pleasing to go over with his happy temperament and breed typical outline. Loved his head, well proportioned with a short strong muzzle and dark round eyes. Good neck and shoulders with clean front and nicely angulated in the rear. Beautiful coat and condition. Very slightly had the edge over his brother for BP as his movement was just a little more collected. Promising prospect, little to separate him and his litter brother. Exciting times ahead for these two.

PGD (2)

1. Reynolds’ Hollinsclose One Love. Taller boy, with a square body and slight tuck up. Masculine head, short strong muzzle, dark eyes which could perhaps be a touch larger. Straight front, sufficient neck, firm topline and well muscled hindquarters. Well presented coat which is of a good texture. He won the class on his better movement, sound with good drive from behind.

2. McFarlane’s Sharlarna Black Jack NAF. Liked his size and well proportioned head properties, ample neck and good angulations. He was a bit of a handful, pulling on the lead making it difficult to assess his movement properly and was roaching his back on the stack. His coat texture was ok which with a bit more attention to presentation would enable him to do some useful winning and show him off to his potential.

1. Morgan-Stanley & Morgan-Stanley’s Golbourne Oh So Posh JW. An eye catching boy, with his stylish and balanced profile and immaculate coat and body condition and a real showman too. Lovely head, well proportioned, strong muzzle and large round eyes. Straight front with nice reach of neck and secure topline. Very well muscled hindquarters with nicely turned stifles and his well plumed tail carried over his back. His construction suggested that he should be able to move well and he did, powering around the ring with plenty of drive from behind. Very happy to award him BD and BOB

OD (3,2abs)

1. Godfrey & Peacock Golborne's Dark Obsession. Masculine dog, liked his overall size and shapely outline. Balanced head proportions, large eye which could perhaps be a tad darker and well placed ears. Ample neck, level topline and correct tail set and carriage. Shown in good coat, with good bone and substance. Moved well on the go around, just a little wide coming on, looking good in profile.

1. McFarlane’s Sharlarna Eagle Eye at Glendyke ShCM VW. BV. This boy is nearly 12 years, and certainly belies belies his years, shown in very good condition, nicely coated with well muscled hindquarters. Pleasing head and expression, round eyes. Ample neck, clean front and well laid shoulders. Sound on the go around with good drive from behind and a happy showman. BV.

CGD (1)

1. McFarlane’s Kerryken Keir Rob. Attractive boy with lots to like, particularly his size and balanced breedy outline. Masculine head which is well balanced with strength to his muzzle and round dark eyes. Ample neck and well laid shoulders, with good bone and substance and well muscled hindquarters. Shown in very good coat and body condition. Impressed on the move, moving well in all directions with good reach and strong rear action, confident happy showman too. Pleased to award him RBD.

PB (1)

1. McFarlane’s Quintix Theme of A Dream .Just 6 months old and quite a raw baby at the moment but has quite a nice shapely outline and the makings of a nice example of the breed. Pretty head and dark eyes, would like a touch more strength to her muzzle. Clean front, ample neck, firm topline and nicely made hindquarters. Her coat is coming nicely along too. Moved out soundly with good reach in front.

OB (2)

1. Morgan-Stanley & Morgan-Stanley’s Ch Golbourne Izzadorable JW. Well this little girl certainly ticks a lot of boxes, she caught my eye straight away for her confidence on the move, her overall size and shapely outline, a proper little lion dog. Pretty head so very feminine with strength and balance. Clean straight front, good bone and substance, good length of neck into well laid shoulders and firm topline, well muscled hindquarters and her plumed tail is carried over her back. Beautifully prepared coat of correct texture. Used her good front and rear angulations to advantage and moved out with good reach and drive maintaining a lovely outline in profile. A close run thing in the challenge for BOB, the male just having the slight edge today on his showmanship, but there really is little to separate them, two Lowchens to be proud of. Pleased to award her BB and BOS.

2. Godfrey & Peacock Cleeview Unlocked Spirt in Godpeakiki. Similar size girl with lots to like with a well balanced breed typical outline. Pretty head and expression, well proportioned with round eyes and good strength to her muzzle. Clean front, ample neck into well laid shoulders and firm topline. Nicely made hindquarters topped off with a well presented coat of good texture. Couldn’t quite match the winner in terms of movement as she was at times pulling a bit, but essentially she is sound, happy to award her RBB on her lovely breed qualities.
