PD (2,1abs)

1. Lawler & Nottingham’s Bareve Top Hat N’ Tails. RDCC, BP & Puppy group 3. Smart

red boy nearly 11 months and already quite mature for his age. He immediately appeals for his breed typical outline and overall balance. Handsome head, well set on ears and dark keen eyes. Decent forehand with a lovely reach of neck, firm topline, well muscled hindquarters with good tail set. Well presented harsh jacket and his ruff and furnishings are coming along nicely. An active mover with a springy gait, retaining his outline well on the move, one to watch.

1. Jones’ Ch Blue Blake von Den Grauen Anfurten at Wyeafon (Imp Nld). DCC & BOS. Judged this blue and tan boy in 2021 when he was in junior, so pleasing to see that he has fulfilled his early promise. All male, I liked his overall size and length of back. Masculine head, well placed ears, dark eyes and strong jaws, all aiding his keen terrier expression. Nice reach of neck into well laid shoulders, strong topline and well muscled hindquarters. His coat was well presented and of correct harsh texture. Moved freely with a forceful springy gait.

2. Webb’s Wilfnbell Nite Owl. A masculine blue and tan dog of good type, balanced head with small dark eyes giving a keen expression. I liked his bone and substance, ample reach of neck, well made body, muscular hindquarters and well set tail. He could perhaps could carry a touch more weight to advantage. Well presented jacket, his tans were not as rich as the winner and nose pigment not as dense. Moved out soundly with a pleasing breed typical outline.

1. Pinkerton’s Bareve Absolutely Fabulous BPB. Red litter sister to the dog puppy and has the makings of a very nice example of the breed, not as mature as her brother as yet and will need plenty of time to develop her coat and furnishings. Feminine head with good length and strength, small dark eyes and strong dentition. Ample reach of neck, leading into well laid shoulders, firm level topline and well-angulated rear. Once settled, she got into her stride to show a forceful springy movement, just needing to firm up a little in front action.

1. Thompson & Lapthorn’s Jenina Jive Bunny. RBCC. Mature red girl who is a good example of the breed, nicely balanced and correct for size. Lovely feminine head with strength to muzzle, nice dark eyes all giving a keen expression. Well off for bone, slight arch to her neck, which fits nicely into well laid shoulders, well ribbed back, firm in topline and well angulated in hindquarters. Moved out soundly, not as up on her toes as winner, I would just like her to show a little more enthusiasm on the go around.

OB (2,1abs)

1. Jones’ Wyeafon Illusion in Blue. BCC & BOB, shortlisted in group. My star of the day, smart blue and tan girl, with great ring presence, she immediately appeals for her breed typical outline and overall balance.. Lovely for size and type, decent forehand, nicely arched neck, long strong body and well-muscled hindquarters with good tail set which gives a very pleasing breed typical outline. Feminine head, yet still full of terrier keenness, very dark eyes and strong jaws. Her forceful springy gait and correct profile action gave her the edge in the competition today. Expertly presented with correct harsh textured jacket and well defined markings.
