MASTIFF

Judge: Miss Tracey Atkinson

I would like to thank the Committee for their invitation to judge and my two stewards for their excellent organisation and assistance in keeping the exhibits and myself in order.

I was very pleased to see that, since I last judged, the combination of excessive wrinkle running down the foreface combined with long jowl and haw has greatly improved. I was thrilled with the quality of exhibits and especially with the youngsters being shown. Confirmation and movement was also excellent.

Every once in a while you come across a Mastiff that you wish you’d bred or owned and for me today was one of those days. A beautiful 10 month old fawn bitch with an attractive head and expression and good pigment. She was well grown with excellent bone and confirmation. She moved well and was extremely well presented by her handler, Daisy.

Such a quality Mastiff, I had no hesitation in placing her 1st, followed by Bitch CC, BOB and Best Puppy. I’m sure she has a great future ahead of her.
