Breed: Working puppy group

It is always a delight to judge puppy groups and get the chance to meet the future stars in their breeds. Today was no exception, some super quality puppies sent forward. My pick of the puppies was Mrs Emma Bull’s RBT, Larkharbour Kawasaki At Gunnerbears, super strength to this bitch standing square and put down in excellent condition, head is well developed with flat skull and correct planes. Broad skull accentuated by high set ears. Good reach to neck and well angulated which combine to give her super ground covering movement, perfect in the big ring where she excelled. 2. The Dobermann, Supetas Boys Are Back In Town owned by Brannan & Mycroft, presenting square outline, with strength and elegance, wedge head, of clean lines and flat skull, dark almond eye. Clean well muscled neck. Firm topline. Moved with good extension in front and plenty of rear drive. 3. BMD, Fortonpark Senator owned by Reid & Givens, my BP at Windsor, shown in super condition with gleaming coat. Strong boned and with broad skull. Good angles and topline and moved soundly. 4 Gt Schnauzer, Veal’s Philoma Encanto, good sized bitch of substance, presenting square outline and good sized head. Broad in chest, with defined forechest. Straight topline. Strong rump with good bend of stifle, another who impressed on the move in the large ring.

Also catching my eye, but not making the placings were the; Alaskan malamute, Morris’ Chayo Top Gun, impressive, with super bone and feet and well developed in front, presented in good coat, the Hovawart, Mclure’s Pines Mansion At Kanukalos, rich B&G dog of super character, just rectangular in outline, with clean head, skull and muzzle balanced, great expression from dark eye. Covers ground well, though shows exuberance times. The rottweiler was Trueman & Brownridge’s Jaegerot Miss Fabulous, strongly made with broad skull and well developed cheeks and deep muzzle. Well angulated to stand covering ground well.
