Three good quality dogs.

1st Place 4518 - Ch Vardenais Lumos (Mr S Parker). Best Veteran. Presents a lovely clean, typical outline with his good topline and well-set tail. Well ribbed with good depth of chest. Strong hindquarters and particularly good hind action. Moved out well with a controlled hackney action and this just gave him the edge today.

2nd Place 4509 - Ch Jaegerson Dress to Impress JW (Ms S James). Close up and he too is ultra smart with a good topline, short coupled, and very good quarters. Shows to good advantage.

3rd Place 4506 - Hawksflight If You Dare ShCM (Miss A Ironside)

1st Place 4519 - Danton Hanky Panky (Mr A Scourfield). Best Puppy. Well set ears, good length of head and nicely arched neck. Sturdy, well-ribbed body with good topline and tailset. He impressed me on the move; both out and back and in profile.

2nd Place 4525 - Hawksflight American Jazz (Ms T Watkins). Masculine with a keen alert expression. Excellent forehand, good depth of chest and strong, well angulated quarters. Moved out well with a controlled, precise hackney action.

2nd Place 4505 - Adurus Sundance Kid for Catamyrann (Miss C A & Mrs B M Hewitt). This dog also has lots of quality, long fairly narrow head, dark eyes. Decent depth of chest and good body. Not quite the elegant tail carriage of the winner but ahe also impressed on the move.

1st Place 4526 - Ch Hawksflight Hot Pursuit JW (Ms T & Miss J Watkins & Bugden). Stood alone here today but he would be hard to overlook in any company. He is the complete package with a lovely head, arched neck and excellent forehand. Strong, short sloping topline with well-set tail. Moved well with a true, precise hackney ation. CC and BOB and I was delighted to learn that he topped the strong Toy Group later in the day.

Class 1943. Special Beginners

1st Place 4522 - Dobenar Leonidas (Miss L & Mrs K Soper). Presents a good outline with her lengthy, well carried head, crested neck and good tailset and carriage. Well balanced and sound on the move.

Class 1946. Puppy Bitch

1st and 2nd, two litter sisters who were both CC quality. Buttercup just had the edge with a more stylish controlled hackney action. They are both pleasing to handle with good forehands, compact well ribbed bodies and well angulated hindquarters. Their litter brother just had the edge in showmanship in the challenge for Best Puppy. What a lovely litter.
