Italian Greyhound
I was blessed with two excellent Stewards. It was a bitterly cold day and I moved the dogs more than I would have done normally in an effort to keep them warm. Although a small number of dogs were not too happy on the ground all were relaxed on the table and temperaments were excellent. A few exhibits lack the required drive/propulsion from the rear and I do wonder if they receive sufficient exercise to give them the correct muscle tone. Having said this, there were a number of exhibits in both sexes that I would have happily signed a Challenge Certificate for. I was so cold after judging that I did not stay for the Toy Group but I was delighted to learn that my Best of Breed winner was Group#2. Congratulations.

1st Place 3718 - Loutony Prince of Thieves (Mrs L P Nuttycombe). A real baby who rather overwhelmed by the proceedings today. He has an attractive head of good length, pleasing eyes and well placed ears. Good, fine skin. He showed some promise on the move and with a little more practice and confidence he should do well.

1st Place 3729 - Boccalupo Lucky Luciano (Imp Can) (Miss C Thorne). Best Puppy and Reserve CC. A real showman who is certainly handled and schooled to best advantage. Long, fine skull, lovely eyes and well placed ears. Nicely arched neck and well laid shoulders. Presents a very pleasing outline both free standing and on the move.
2nd Place 3733 - Newill Haymaker (Mr D Willcock). Pushed the winner hard and he too pleases in head and expression. Good neck, a fraction more upright in shoulder than the winner. Pleasing depth of brisket. Strong, well-muscled hindquarters gave him some push on the move. Both these dogs should finish at the top.

Strong, well angulated hindquarters. Sound and steady on the move with some elevation in front. Coat and skin in first class order.
2nd Place 3703 - Ch/am Gch Jaros Ferazi Et Tu Brute at Sfizimio (Imp Usa) (Miss C W Y & Mr J R Chau & Steele). A most impressive dog, beautifully schooled and his movement was exemplary. Lovely head with alert expression. Good forehand with strong, fine bone. Well angulated quarters.

Class 1226. Veteran Bitch

1st Place 3705 - Anjuskar Zenyatta (Mrs S Dunning). Best Veteran and Reserve CC. I was surprised when signing the card to learn that this lovely bitch doesn’t have her title. Subsequently, I was told that she has two tickets and a number of reserves, I sincerely hope her owner can keep on showing her as she does deserve her title. Shown in good condition, she is free moving with some elegance and style. Attractive head and eye, good neck. Nicely angulated hindquarters.
2nd Place 3696 - Ch/Am Ch Artmeis Golden Oriole of Regallust (Mrs J Amsel). Another top-quality Veteran. Lovely head and expression, Decent depth of brisket and good ribbing with a slight arch over the loin. Well-muscled hindquarters. A tad untidy in front action but most impressive on profile.
Class 1227. Minor Puppy Bitch

1st Place 3728 - Laborghini Olympia Dukakis (Mrs A Tate). Quite mature in body and depth of brisket and this gave her the advantage here today. Fine, glossy coat and good skin. Well placed ears, expressive eyes.
2nd Place 3708 - Black Baraka Ultra Violet avec Ansanda (Imp Fra) (Mrs A J & Miss D M Guyton). Pleasing head of good length, attractive expression. Good neck and shoulder, she presents a nice outline both standing and moving.

Class 1228. Puppy Bitch

Nicely arched neck and good shoulders. Still needs to firm up in pastern. Moved well and shown in good order.
2nd Place 3704 - Porsche The Blue (Miss V Drake). A slightly bigger puppy with much to admire. Long skull and muzzle, well placed ears, good eyes. Quite shapely and well angulated. Good pelt.

Class 1230. Yearling Bitch

1st Place 3710 - Laborghini Hot As Hell (Ms L Hague). Lovely head and expression. Her coat was gleaming and her skin is fine and supple. Good body, I think she was feeling the cold (I know I was!) and standing, she was tending to tuck herself in but she gave a better account of herself on the move.
Class 1231. Post Graduate Bitch
Entries: 5 Absentees: 0
1st Place 3727 - Zephyrelli Raphaella (Mrs F Righton). Composed and smart and she moved out well with a typical, easy action. Good length of head and pleasing expression. Shapely with decent depth of brisket. I thought her most typical.
2nd Place 3721 - Ruby Beyond Price (Mrs C Pendlebury). Good head with really beautiful expressive eyes. Well-set ears. Nicely arched neck. Particularly good hind action but just a shade flatter in topline than the winner today.
3rd Place 3702 - Miwell Estee Lauder (Mrs L R P Bleakley)
Class 1232. Limit Bitch
Entries: 4 Absentees: 1
1st Place 3707 - Ansanda Winter Bird (Mrs A J & Miss D M Guyton). Delightful temperament and presents a nice outline as she is shapely and well made. Good length of head, pleasing eyes and well set ears. Lovely fine coat and skin and she has some muscle tone.
2nd Place 3723 - Littlebriton Winds ‘o’ Winter (Mrs Sl Read). Another pleasing head, quite shapely and very pleasing for both balance and size. Moved out well enough but was obviously feeling the cold.
3rd Place 3720 - Raising Venus Du Zephyr De Bizance Pendlethrine (Mrs C Pendlebury)
Class 1233. Open Bitch

1st Place 3699 - Ch Artmeis Raise The Stakes (Mrs J B & Miss H Amsel & Rishworth). CC & BOB and later Group#2 under Mr Tim Ball. Lovely outline with her nicely arched neck, good deportment and very typical topline. Absolutely sure footed on the move with some elevation in front and some drive from the rear. Beautiful head with well-placed ears which she can use to advantage.
2nd Place 3700 - Artmeis Three Card Trick (Mrs J B & Miss H Amsel & Rishworth). Certainly of CC quality and many of the remarks made about her kennel mate apply here too. Moved soundly but not quite as steadily as the winner. Lovely fine skin and coat. Good muscle tone.
