I thoroughly enjoyed judging the breed and thought there were some lovely Miniature Schnauzers present today. Thanks to all the exhibitors for your sportsmanship and good manners. I was blessed with two excellent stewards – thank you.

Class 1035. Veteran Dog

1st Place 2176 - Beanara Njals Saga at Lyzahro VW (Mrs L J Mellor). 12 years old and in great form and condition. Sturdy and shapely with a good topline with an obvious rapport with his very young handler. Free moving and his jacket is a good texture and presented to advantage.

Class 1036. Minor Puppy Dog

1st Place 2168 - Wellingley Wot A Mix (Miss K Davidson). Scored in maturity of body with some breadth of chest and good spring of rib. Masculine head of good length with perfect ears. Harsh jacket and he moved well retaining a good outline.

2nd Place 2152 - Risepark Moonstone (Mr B D Day). Clean, lengthy head. Dark eyes. Very good neck and shoulders with decent forechest and good breastbone. Sound and free moving. His harsh jacket was presented to advantage.

3rd Place 2164 - Nujax Nice to See You NAF (Messrs S C & A C Humphries & Lowton)

1st Place 2145 - Oldbashurst Ko Phi Phi (Mr W D & Mrs C L Carver). Quite mature. Excellent ear set and carriage. Well ribbed with typical topline and good tailset. Well angulated hindquarters. Shows and moves to good advantage.

2nd Place 2175 - Lichstone Midnight Legend (Mr & Mrs A Mcdermott). Nicely made with a. strong, short body, decent depth and breadth of chest with good forechest. Well angulated and moved out with some style.

3rd Place 2156 - Greypix’s Keep On Dreaming Andix (Imp Nor) (Mrs A & Miss L Dixon)

1st Place 2150 - Gryselda Step in Time (Miss J Dawson). Best Puppy and Reserve CC. Good length of head with well placed and well carried ears. Dark eye. Clean neck, some forechest. Good bone and feet. Strong, sturdy body, typical topoline. Strong, well angulated and muscular hindquarters. Presented to best advantage.

2nd Place 2179 - Amorevita Uranus (Mrs J Moorcroft). I thought he too was of CC quality. Move soundly but not quite the drive from the rear of the winner. Masculine, attractive head. Really pleasing to handle as he possesses a good forehand, well ribbed body and nicely angulated hindquarters. Shown in a good coat.

3rd Place 2165 - Marnimica Seven Wonders (Ms C A Johnson)

1st Place 2173 - Lichstone Call The Wind (Mr & Mrs A Mcdermott). Another high quality dog puppy! Good length of head with neat ears and very alert expression. Short, firm topline with well-set tail. Good spring of rib. Impressed on the move as he does have some drive from the rear.

2nd Place 2184 - Mel Hollybeat (Imp Pol) (Ms K & Mr J Podlasiak & Richardson). A handsome, masculine black, well made with very good forehand, decent depth and breadth of chest and prominent breastbone. Strong, well angulated, muscular hindquarters.

3rd Place 2137 - Kopykats Private Eye (Mrs S Aldworth)

1st Place 2154 - Dorado Tyras Akvamarinas at Amorevita (Imp Ltu) (Mrs E Descere). Smart and alert with a lovely hard jacket which was well presented. Moved out well with an easy driving action. Compactly made with good ribbing. Short, hard topline. Well angulated both fore and aft.

2nd Place 2170 - Nujax Super Trouper (Mr S & Mr A & Mr J & Mrs A Lowton-Humphries & Lowton-Humphries & Manser & Manser). Top quality with a grand masculine head, lovely clean neck and shoulders. Sturdy, well ribbed body. Presented and shown to best advantage. Sound and free moving.

3rd Place 2166 - Silversocks Synchronised at Marnimica (Ms C A Johnson)

A lovely class.

1st Place 2169 - Ch Wellingley Whisky Business (Mrs E J & Miss K R Longdin & Davidson). CC & BOB. A sturdy, compact, beautifully made dog. Masculine, alert expression, very neat ears. Decent breadth and depth of chest. Well set tail which could be straighter for perfection. Moved out well displaying some reach and drive.

2nd Place 2142 - Ch Glockens Let It Be JW (Miss W J & Mrs L Bell & Burns). Strong and sturdy but no hint of coarseness. Lengthy head and good eyes. Has some forechest, very well ribbed and a short, strong loin. Excellent jacket which was presented to advantage.

3rd Place 2195 - Ch Penbro Man About Town (Miss R & Miss L Woods)

1st Place 2144 - Brown Sugar Lady for Devorasjoy (Mrs D & Mr D Butler). Very typey and her good coat was in first class order. Short, compact and well ribbed. Good topline, well angulated and she moved soundly.

1st Place 2161 - Ch Surechanz Quartzite for Maritzi (Mrs G Gordon). Best Veteran. Shown in a good jacket and she is most attractive and typical. Pleasing head with clear, dark eyes. Compact, I felt she could carry a fraction more weight to advantage. Well sdet tail and moved out soundly and with some style.

Class 1046. Minor Puppy Bitch

1st Place 2189 - Cleopatra Thea (Mrs C Saunders). Stood alone but has lots to commend, not least her very positive, driving rear action. Attractive head with neat ears, big black nostrils and strong white teeth. Well ribbed. Nicely angulated hidnquarters.

1st Place 2153 - Amorevita Zaria (Mrs E Descere). Typey and well balanced, clean neck and shoulders. Good breadth and depth of chest. Strong positive hind action, a shade untidy coming back to me. Harsh, well presented jacket.

2nd Place 2157 - Tukiwenas Basket of Fire (Miss E C Elstone Thompson). Maybe a fraction longer cast than the winner but typical in all respects with a particularly good topline and well-set tail. Her coat is a good texture. Alert, keen expression.

1st Place 2197 - Penbro Fool Me Once (Miss R & Miss L & Mr A Woods & Woods & Price). Very attractive and well-schooled to show off her many talents. Grand head, lovely neck and shoulders, sturdy well ribbed body with good topline. Impressed on the move both out and back and in profile.

2nd Place 2163 - Stokinpaws Awesome Mix One (Ms A J Holland). Not quite the mature showmanship of the winner as yet but she is absolutely typical and very pleasing to handle as she is well made and sound. Lenghty head with dark, alert eyes. Compact and ribs extend well back to a short strong loin.

1st Place 2188 - Kassava Star Attraction (Mr J E & Mrs J E Thomas). Presents a very smart outline both standing and on the move. Good forehand with decent bone, legs and feet. Good spring of rib. Typical topline. Keen, alert expression.

1st Place 2151 - Risepark Buffey (Mr B D Day). Attractive, feminine head of good length. Excellent dentition. Very good forehand with clean, reachy neck and good shoulders. Good short topline and well set tail. Harsh, well presented jacket.

2nd Place 2160 - Maritzi Front and Centre (Mrs G Gordon). Eye-catching as she is stylish and presents a lovely outline both standing and moving. Nicely arched, lengthy neck, good ribbing and well angulated hindquarters.

3rd Place 2186 - Kavacay Queen of The Night (Mrs L & Miss K Robertson)

A lovely class, all had quality and style.

1st Place 2182 - Violis Stormy Skies JW (Miss L V & Mr J Parker & Mcdonald). Another with a lovely outline when she free stands. Attractive, lengthy head, nicdely arched neck and very good forehand with some forechest. Well ribbed body with strong short loin. Moved out with both reach and drive. CC. Her second I was later told, good luck for a third!

2nd Place 2155 - Andix Hey Big Spender (Mrs A & Miss L Dixon). Sturdy and compact with a feminine, attractive head and keen expression. Very good, compact body with typical topline. Impressed on the move.

3rd Place 2146 - Oldbashurst Time to Shine JW (Mr W D & Mrs C L Carver)

1st Place 2196 - Ch Penbro Talk of The Town JW (Miss R & Miss L Woods). Reserve CC. Stood out here with her lovely outline, excellent neck and shoulders, deep chest and well ribbed body. Her good quality jacket is presented to advantage. Has some reach and drive on the move.

2nd Place 2192 - Schnaustar Hunky Dory (Ms D White). Compactly made and quite feminine. Sturdy and well ribbed, good neck and shoulders. A little untidy on the move.

3rd Place 2185 - Kavacay Queen of Dreams (Mrs L & Miss K Robertson)
