I would like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge my fourth Gundog Group also my co-judges for sending some lovely BOB's through for me to go over and which did not make my task an easy one.

I made a shortlist of 10 which included the Brittany Sh Ch Bonapartist Pickpocket, German Wirehaired Pointer Caldewriver Storm N’Teacup For Katillien, Hungarian WireHaired Vizsla Sh Ch Enryb Tickled Pink JW, Irish Setter Sh Ch Quensha Take A Bow, English Springer Spaniel Dk Ch Su (U) Ch Norsk Ch World Sieger’s Crocodile Rock, Welsh Spinger Spaniel Sh Ch Ferndel Water Mark (Ai), all good specimens of their breeds and performed well. My final 4 were,

G1 Gordon Setter Phillips & Watkins Sh Ch Flaxheath Top Model At Glenmaurangi, this lady is in super condition for 8 years of age, feminine head, lovely front, well ribbled with well muscled rear. Her movement was free and positive, keeping a good topline. She covered the ground with ease, with good reach and drive and at one with her handler.

G2 Italian Spinone Clark & Sharp’s Sh Ch Affilato You Can Bank On It, 2 year old male who is just coming into his own, he is well balanced all through with super bone, well ribbed, in good coat and condition. Moved out soundly and freely keeping a correct topline.

G3 Curly Coated Retriever Stephen’s Sh Ch Brightmeadow Never Say Die JW ShCM, 7 year old male who is a credit to the breed, lovely balanced head with no coarseness. Super front with lovely depth and well ribbed, stands true, in excellent coat and condition. His movement is free and positive, a pleasure to watch.

G4 American Cocker Lynn’s Sh Ch Afterglow Impose, presented to perfection this young lady has developed well with super head, well ribbed with good substance, lovely balanced body, strong rear which showed in her free, positive movement and at one with her handler
