1. Irwing’s Beaconpride Trick or Treat. Red rough approaching 10 mths. Well the day certainly got off to a terrific start with this youngster. He scored for type, carries lovely bone and presented a super compact outline. Slightly arched neck of correct length to give balance, short back with firm topline, ribbed well back, short in the couplings and tail set on high. First class head with flat skull of good breadth, super eye and ear, broad muzzle, scissor bite and excellent pigmentation. Correct angles front and rear and stands straight in front on compact feet and has good breadth to forechest. Characteristic gait of the breed with good carriage. Puppy coat just beginning to blow but could not be denied the CC, BOB and Best Puppy here today.
2. Markillie’s Kingrock Blue Steel. 10 mth smooth blue. This boy also has lots to like but just has a tad more length and therefore is not quite as compact as winner. Slightly arched neck, level topline, pleasing rib, muscular loin and tail set on high. Masculine headpiece with broad, flat skull, expressive eyes, ears set on wide apart, untapering muzzle, correct dentition and nice dark pigmentation. Pleasing angles both ends and he stands well naturally. Moving well on the go around, true behind and ok in front. Good quality coat. Well handled.

1. Palmer’s Torrichows Seasons Delights. 2 yr old red rough who wasn’t entirely settled and therefore not giving his best on the day. Carrying good bone, he presented a compact outline with pleasing neck and topline but unfortunately was not using his tail. Head of good proportions with flat skull of good breadth, expressive oval-shaped eyes, ears good for size and set, broad muzzle, correct dentition and excellent pigmentation. He stands on good feet and moved more than ok all through. Profuse coat of good texture.

1. Phillips’ Lechan Black Muse at Fulang. A varied class which saw this 4 yr old black rough win quite comfortably. He appealed for overall type and was good to go over. Slightly arched neck, firm level topline, deep brisket, pleasing rib, short loin and tail set on high. Masculine head with good breadth to his flat skull, excellent eye and ear, broad untapering muzzle, scissor bite and nice dark pigmentation. He stands on good feet and went well on the go around. Good quality coat and very well handled here.
2. Green’s Jamarhys Merlot Dragon. 21 mth old red out of a bigger mould and with more leg than the winner. Carrying very good bone, he is all male. Strong neck, firm level topline, deep brisket, short well-muscled loin and tail set on well. Masculine head which is a little heavier than I would prefer; flat skull of good breadth, very good eye, thick ears set on wide apart and tilting forwards, broad muzzle, good dentition and dark pigmentation. He stands true in front and moved well when viewed in profile.
3. Alekseenko-Simpson’s Legend of my Heart Angel Gloria (Imp Blr)

1. Biddle’s Booneeks Obie. Another varied class with some very different males present. My winner was this 3 yr old red rough. Carrying good bone, he presented a nicely balanced outline with a strong, slightly arched neck, short back with firm topline, correct ribbing, nice short loin and tail set on high and of good carriage. Quality head with good breadth to his flat skull, super eye and ear, broad muzzle of moderate length, scissor bite and such good pigmentation. Of sound construction and he stands true in front on cat-like feet. Gaiting well when viewed from all angles and using himself as he goes. Very good coat. RCC.
2. Adlington’s Ch Foolangs Feeling Good. I thought this 3 yr old black rough an excellent type but I would just have liked a bit more size for a male. He presented a lovely outline with slightly arched neck of correct length to provide balance, short back, firm level topline, good ribbing, nice short loin and tail set on well. Balanced head with pleasing expression; flat skull of good breadth, excellent eye and ear, broad muzzle and correct bite and pigmentation. He stands on good feet but could use a tad more breadth of chest. Moving well on the go around and very well handled.
3. Alekseenko-Simpson’s Jupiter-rising Angel Gloria (Imp Blr)

1. Cummins’ Ch Dragonsway Tom Thumb. 9 yr old red rough. This lad is all male, of good size and pleasing to go over. Strong neck, firm level topline, nice spring of rib, short in the couplings and tail set on high and of good carriage. Masculine head of good proportions; he has breadth to his flat skull, dark oval-shaped eyes, correct ears for size and set, untapering muzzle, scissor bite and still retaining nice dark oral pigmentation. Pleasing angles front and rear, standing straight in front albeit a tad wider and he has good feet. Moving ok. Best Veteran.

1. Jakeman’s Tanlap Thruppnybit. Two very different red rough pups challenged in this class. My winner was this 8 mth old. She has a smidge more length than 2 but benefitted from more leg and she was so good to go over. Slightly arched neck, level topline, ribcage carried well back, muscular loin and tail set on nice and high. Feminine head with flat skull of good breadth, dark expressive eyes, thick ears of good size and placement, untapering muzzle of moderate length, scissor bite and dark pigmentation. She stands on very good feet and moved freely.
2. Fisher’s Poppykins Golden Nuggett. Just coming up to 12 mths this girl is more compact and carries good bone. Slight arch to neck, short back with firm topline, deep brisket, well sprung ribs and high set tail. Pleasing head and expression with good skull, clear oval-shaped eyes, ears placed wide apart and tilting forward, broad muzzle, scissor bite and very good pigmentation. She stands straight in front but with a little more width. Moves well on the go around and with good carriage.

1. Baston’s Wengeordy Oh My Gosh. 15 mth old shaded red rough who presented a nicely balanced outline with slightly arched neck, short level back, good depth to chest, pleasing spring of rib and tail good for both set and carriage. Attractive headpiece with feminine expression; good breadth to skull, dark oval-shaped eyes, ears set on wide apart, broad muzzle of moderate length and good bite and pigmentation. Carrying good bone she has a good length of leg, stands true on good feet and moved well on the go around and coming towards. Good coat.
2. Fisher’s Poppykins Golden Ticket. Red rough just about to turn a year old who presented a pretty good outline with neck of correct length to balance, firm topline and tail set on high. Feminine headpiece with good breadth to skull, nice dark eyes, ears of good size and placement, scissor bite and dark pigmentation, however planes not that of winner. She has nice bone and stands straight in front but with a little more width. Moving ok on the go around but could be firmer going away. Good quality coat.

1. Webb’s Chifido Follow The Dream JW. 19 mth old black rough who immediately caught my eye in this class. She appealed for type and presented such a good outline with slightly arched neck of correct length to balance, short back with firm topline, pleasing length of leg, deep brisket, short powerful loin and tail set on well. Balanced headpiece with feminine expression; flat skull of good breadth, dark oval-shaped eyes, small thick ears inclining forward over the eyes, moderate length to her untapering muzzle, scissor bite and super pigmentation. She stands true in front on small, cat-like feet and is correctly angulated in the rear. Characteristic action on the go around with such good carriage. Good quality coat and very well handled. CC, her 3rd I was informed.
2. Phillips’ Fulang's Follow Me Stargazer. This 3 yr old shaded red rough also has lots to like but I would have liked a touch more length of leg on her. She pleased for type and was good hands on. Strong neck, firm level topline, excellent ribbing, short in the couplings and tail set on nice and high. Feminine headpiece with flat skull of good breadth, dark expressive eyes, ears of correct size and set, moderate length to muzzle, correct dentition and dark pigmentation. Standing straight in front on good feet but with a tad more width. Gaiting well when viewed in profile and very well handled.
3. Hughes’ Xingbao Magic Sakurra JW
OB (5,1)
1. Clucas’ Ch Hiswin Morning Star. 5 yr old red rough who won here with some room to spare. Feminine throughout, she presented a super compact outline and she greatly appealed for overall type. Slightly arched neck, short back with level topline, lovely ribbing, short well-muscled loin and tail good for both set and carriage. Most attractive head with broad, flat skull, dark expressive eyes, small thick ears set wide apart, untapering muzzle, scissor bite and correct pigmentation. She has correct angles front and rear and moved out freely with good carriage. Good quality coat. Unfortunately in the challenge she decided to throw in the towel but she did enough to secure the RCC.
2. Coleman & Evans’ Bon Triumph Diadem (Imp Rus). 3 yr old red rough who was somewhat out of coat on the day. Upstanding girl who pleased in outline with neck of correct length to balance, level topline, well sprung ribs, muscular loin and nice high set tail. Balanced head with feminine expression; good breadth of skull, oval-shaped eyes, super ears, moderate length to muzzle and good dentition and pigmentation. Straight, well-boned forelegs and slight bend of stifle. Moving well on the go around but winner just had the edge.
3. Clare’s Benoleo Shiraz
