1. Lemon’s Ch Souska I Need Your Love. 7 yr old gold. Quality lad who presented a super outline and was so good to go over. Correct length of neck to balance, firm topline, excellent ribbing, muscular loin and plumed tail set on high. Masculine headpiece, free from any suggestion of coarseness, with good skull to muzzle proportions, dark expressive eyes, pendant ears with lift, cushioned muzzle and good chin. Pleasing angles front and rear and he moved out freely and did all that was asked of him. Best Veteran and later going on to take Veteran Group 3.

1. Taylor’s Oldcharm Can You Love Me at Maursett. 8 mth old black masked gold sable. Exuberant pup who was thoroughly enjoying his time in the ring. Profuse puppy coat right now but he pleased for overall type and was good upon closer inspection. Nicely proportioned head, dark expressive eyes, cushioned muzzle and excellent chin. Coat conceals his outline somewhat but hands-on, he has a correct neck, level back and tail set on nice and high. Stands on good feet and really moves out on the go around. Best Puppy.

1. Lemon’s Parloueve Made You Look. Showy 12 mth old gold sable who I thought most promising. He appealed for type and presented a well balanced outline with moderately short neck, firm topline, good spring of rib for age and plumed tail set on high. Correctly proportioned head with super expression; oval-shaped eyes of good colour, ears set on fairly high with desired lift, correct stop and blunt, cushioned muzzle. Uses himself on the move and I thought him so good when viewed in profile. Good quality coat. RCC.

1. O’Connor’s Susu Rewrite The Stars for Talistella. I thought this a somewhat varied class and this 2 yr old pale gold came out on top. Nicely balanced with strong neck of correct length, firm level topline and super tail for set and carriage. Head of good proportions with dark expressive eyes, pendant ears set on fairly high and cushioned muzzle. Lovely free action on the go around with good carriage, the best of rears and straight when coming towards albeit a tad wider.

2. Brown & Colaço’s Saxtead Norbu. This 2 yr old gold sable also has lots to like and presented a well balanced outline with lovely neck, level back, ribbed well back and tail of good carriage but not quite croup of winner. Attractive head of good proportions, dark oval-shaped eyes, well feathered ears, cushioned muzzle and good chin. Pleasing angles front and rear and moves out freely but winner had the edge on the go around.

3. Thompson’s Susu Parti in The Stars

1. Cooper & O’Brien’s Susu More Than A Prince. Another diverse class and I selected this 4 yr old pale gold as my winner who showed himself off to advantage at all times. He pleased in outline and has an excellent neck, firm level back, correct ribbing and plumed tail set on nice and high. Attractive head of good proportions with moderate width to skull, lovely eye and ear, correct stop and blunt muzzle with cushioning. He stands well naturally on correct harefeet and moved soundly all through. Presented in super coat and condition.

2. Hall’s Balgay Shab Tra. This 4 yr old gold sable secured this placement on overall balance and outline. Moderately short neck, level topline, good length to ribcage with ribbing nicely sprung, muscular loin and plumed tail set on high. Head of good proportions, pleasing eye and ear and nicely cushioned muzzle but preferred overall expression of winner. He moved out well on the go around with good carriage and was well handled. Good quality coat.

3. Watkins’ Amcross Pandit

1. Bevis’ Ch Skyvana Empty Dreams of Starlance ShCEx. This 4 yr old gold sable was the star of the day for me. I thought him an excellent type and he presented a super balanced outline with moderately short neck, firm level back, excellent ribbing and plumed tail set on nice and high. Quality headpiece of good proportions, defined stop, pendant ears set on fairly high with lift, dark expressive eyes, cushioned muzzle and correct chin. Well made all through, standing on correct harefeet and certainly didn’t disappoint when gaiting, moving freely with excellent carriage. Quality coat and presentation. CC & BOB.

2. Lemon’s Ch Parloueve True Blue. This 3 yr old gold is a completely different type to the winner but he also scored in outline and was good to go over. Correct length of neck to give balance, level topline, super rib, muscular loin and plumed tail carried over the back. Masculine head of good proportions, with dark expressive eyes, ears with desired lift and cushioned muzzle but for me, not the overall expression of winner. He stands well naturally and has correct feet and moved well all through. Profuse coat.

3. Hall’s Balgay Kitang Po

1. Osborn’s Quailmoor Gold Dust. Osborn’s Quailmoor Gold Dust. This 7 mth old gold sable is very much a baby but she has lots to like. Feminine throughout, she pleased in outline with neck of correct length, ribbed well back and plumed tail of good set and carriage. Attractive head but needs time to develop; well proportioned, dark oval-shaped eyes and correct pendant ears with desired lift. She stands well in front with correct harefeet and moved out on the go around with good carriage.

1. Purnell’s Crockerne Moon Dancer. Purnell’s Crockerne Moon Dancer. A varied but pleasing group of juniors which saw this 13 mth old gold take the class. Feminine all through, she appealed for overall type and presented a super outline with correct length of neck to balance, firm level topline and plumed tail set on high. Nicely proportioned head with defined stop, excellent eye and ear, good cushioning to muzzle and chin showing some width. Pleasing angles front and rear and she stands true in front on good feet. Goes so well when viewed in profile with light, easy carriage. Excellent coat. RCC

2. Lemon’s Parloueve Love Me Better. 12 mth gold sable who is quite different to the winner but another who appealed and was good to go over. Well balanced with correct length of neck, level back, rib developing well and carried well back, firm loin and tail set on high. Nicely proportioned head with feminine expression; super eye and ear, defined stop and cushioned muzzle. Well made all through and moved true but didn’t quite use herself as winner.

1. Cooper, Ottens & Ottens’ Susu The Brightest Star. Pleasing class which was headed by this 2 yr old gold and for me she was a standout. 1. Cooper’s Ch Malia Pumpkin Pie by Susu JW. Quality 3 yr old pale gold who showed herself off at all times and was so very well handled here. She presented a lovely outline with correct length of neck, level back, excellent ribbing, firm loin and tail set on high which is well plumed. Soundly constructed all through and moved freely with excellent carriage. Excellent coat and presentation. CC.

2. Rice’s Ch Ricox Somebody to Love JW ShCM ShCEx VW. 6 yr old gold sable who is quite different to the winner but another with lots to like. Balanced outline with moderately short neck, firm level back, super rib and high set tail of good carriage. Well built both front and rear and she stands true in front on correct harefeet. Happy showgirl who moved out freely.
