This was my first CC appointment in the breed and I’d like to thank the exhibitors for bringing some lovely examples of the breed, I thought overall quality and breed type was stronger than in Cardigans. My CC and RCC winners being of lovely sound breed type and pleased to see my BOB go Pastoral Group 1, my BP and RCC dog go Puppy Group 4 and Special Beginner Group 3.

1st Miss Ta & Mrs Ss Maddox & Hedgepath; Ch/int Ch/am Gch/am Ch Trifecta Eagle Scout to Salvenik (imp Jap); Nearly 7 year old male, nicely proportioned head, muzzle slightly tapering, medium dark brown eyes with medium pricked ears, nice expression, neck fairly long on well set shoulders, legs lovely and straight, tight oval feet, good length of body with firm top-line, well muscled hindquarters and on the move had good forward reach and drive front rear, BV.

1st Mr R P & Mrs H Wyer; Brynlea Creslow Paint It Black at Cottivy (Imp Usa); 7 month old youngster who for his age was so balanced, loved his outline as he entered ring. Typical foxy shaped head tapering to muzzle, ears pricked, good eye shape, lovely forequarters with good bone & straight front, body firm hindquarters with NBT, easy on the move and in challenge he really showed himself, BPD, RDCC and Pastoral Puppy Group .4

1st Miss C Spalding; Brownieglen Hot Spoon Trix; 10 month old, foxy head with nice ear placement, correct eye shape, good length of neck & well placed shoulders, moderate length of back, well boned, good rear angulation. Moved well.

1st Mr R P & Mrs H Wyer; Cottivy Coronation Prince; 14 month old, foxy shaped head with good breadth between ears with moderate stop, correct eye shape, fairly long neck, shoulders well laid back and elbows closely fitting sides, good length of back, strong bone, allowing free movement.

1st Miss A & Mr M Cutts & Wragg; Haresfoot Fates Align (nbt) JW; 22 month old, maturing nicely. Nicely proportioned foxy shaped head with nice amount of breadth between ears, moderate stop, correct eye shape, lovely well pigmented nose and lips, fairly long neck with good fore-chest, shoulders well laid back and closely fitting elbows, good length of back, strong bone allowing free movement.

1st Mr W & Mrs B A Aylott; Barwal Bager Boy (nbt); 5 year old mature male. Foxy head with nice ear placement, dark eyes of correct shape, good length of neck and well placed shoulders, moderate length of back, well boned good rear angulation. Very easy mover.

 2nd Miss A J Jefferson; Ellhar Star Rose at Salvenik; Very similar comments to first who I just felt had the edge on movement.

1st Miss T J Irving; Twinan Sign Your Name; Judged this young lad in a group a few weeks back and he is a real showman at just 18 months, he’s alert at all times and really shows himself off. Masculine foxy shaped head with good width between ears, moderate stop, correct scissor bite, nice dark eyes. Fairly long neck on well laid shoulders with good depth of chest and short straight legs with tight feet. Medium length of body, well sprung rib. Well muscled hindquarters allowing good free forward movement and thrusting action behind. DCC, really did push the bitch in challenge, just felt she was slightly more mature.

1st Mrs D Woodey; Cottivy Coronation Cup Cake At Barawood; 14 month old, nicely balanced bitch with feminine head with pricked ears and nice placement, correct eye shape, good length of neck and well placed shoulders, moderate length of back, well boned with good rear angulation, moved out well which won her this class

2nd Miss A J Rees; Stadwen Gossamer Beynon (ai); Litter sister to winner of puppy, very similar in slightly smaller package and just not quite as settled as winner of this class.

1st Mrs K Warner; Monarchcor Lady Love; 2 year old, won this class on her steady easy movement, pleasing head shape, well placed ears, medium length of neck on well laid shoulders, straight forequarters with enough bone, firm back and good rear angulation. RCC

2nd Miss J Down; Elessar Royal Design; Very similar to first just not quite the reach & drive of first.

3rd Ms R D Maas; Lucky Luna;

1st Mrs C Davies; Ceranda Evensong for Haresfoot; 4.5 year old mature bitch, foxy head, pricked ears, medium length of neck, well placed shoulders with well sprung rib with good depth of chest, well let down between forelegs, hindquarters strong and flexible, good bone and well arched feet. A very steady little mover with good driving hind action which just pipped second on move.

 2nd Miss T J Irving; Born to Be Your Dancing Queen at Twinan (Imp Hun); Liked this young bitch very much, she’s a very feminine 18 month old bitch, foxy shaped head and appearance with moderate stop, well set eyes with pricked ears, fairly long neck, shoulders well laid back and closely fitting elbows, firm top-line with well muscled hindquarters allowing free movement.

Three super bitches

1st Mrs C B & Miss N L Balance; Ch Penliath Bill Me Later (ai); 5.5year old mature bitch who just has such quality and breed type retaining her femininity. Foxy head with alert expression with moderate stop, well set eyes with pricked ears, fairly long neck, shoulders well laid back with closely fitting elbows allowing free movement, well sprung rib with good depth of chest, well let down between forelegs, hindquarters strong and flexible, good bone and well arched feet. A very steady mover with forward reach and good driving hind action. BCC and BOB delighted to see her go Pastoral Group 1

2nd Mr R P & Mrs H Wyer; Cottivy Strawberry Moon; 3.5 year old who today could have done no more, she showed her socks off. Beautifully balanced feminine head, good ear placement, dark eyes, muscular neck. Straight front firm top-line, with good muscle tone allowed free active movement.
