I would like to thank the Committee of Richmond for inviting me to judge at this friendly well run show and thanks to my two ring stewards who kept things running smoothly.

A low entry but still quality dogs to go over. The dreadful weather did clear long enough for us to use the outside ring as well.

Thank you to everyone who entered and allowed me the privilege of going over and assessing your hounds, I really appreciated it and enjoyed the day.

1ST SUMNER’S DUKESARUM MURPHY

20month old well grown substantial dog with plenty of bone and substance, a strong masculine head with dark eyes and nicely held ears, strong neck leading into good shoulders and lay of upper arm, straight legs and good feet, good spring of rib and ribbed well back, powerful well muscled quarters which he used to good effect as he drove around the ring. RDCC

1ST DONALDSON’S RAINSTER EUAN AT KIRKCARSWELL

A well balanced and proportioned male hound of correct type, handsome head with good planes, nice kind expression with well held ears, his strong neck flowed into his topline which he held on the move, good shape to croup with width across the pelvis, shoulders were well laid, and a decent forechest, well sprung ribs, overall a balanced typey outline with no exaggerations. 1ST SUMNER’S CREENA ATTICUS FINCH AT DUKESARUM

Well grown dark brindle dog, nice head on strong neck into good shoulders with breadth of chest, powerful well muscled quarters, in good hard condition.

2ND ADDINGTON’S WOLFHOUSE HERBIE HANCOCK OF WOLVEBRIGG

Dark brindle dog, smaller all round than the winner, attractive head with kind expression and good ears, good topline into well muscled rear assembly which he used well on the move.

PATEMAN’S HYDEBECK ENDLESS LOVE GLYDAS

A very attractive baby at 6months enjoying her first show experience, dark brindle with well balanced proportions, attractive head, good front assembly, she has plenty of width through the pelvis and hindquarters and I could see she was sound as she meandered around the ring, very promising.

1ST READ’S SNUGGLETOOTH CUPCAKE

9month old, nice head, dark eyes with good ear carriage, strong neck, deep brisket, nice topline into powerful quarters which she used well on the move where she had good width. BP

YEARLING BITCH 2entries

1ST SUMNER’S DUKESARUM EVIE

Excellent head with good ear carriage, good harsh coat, strong neck into fair front, good flowing topline into strong quarters, drove well around the ring.

2ND SUMNER’S DUKESARUM TALLULAH

Dark brindle with good head, preferred the front of winner, good quarters and drove well but I preferred the more balanced movement of her litter sister.

1ST DUKESARUM NIAMH

Typey balanced bitch with curves in all the right places and very balanced on the move with good width to rear movement, nice head into strong neck, good topline which she held on the move, powerful rear assembly. BCC

2ND WILKINSON’S RAINSTER EILEX AMONG HUNACRES

Another typical bitch with a very feminine head, strong neck, good front, good topline which she held on the move, good spring of rib and powerful quarters which she used well in the challenge. RBCC

A bitch of good type though would like more of her all through, attractive head with strong neck, good topline, muscular rear which she used well on the move.
