Although the Toy Poodles no longer draw the biggest entry of the three sizes the depth of quality today was most impressive and is a great sign for the future of the breed,I was absolutely spoiled for choice and could happily have signed CC’s for many .I thank all the exhibitors and their lovely dogs for truly making this a day that I will treasure.My appreciation also goes to my two ring stewards Ken Francis and Mark Ord who cheerfully kept the ring running smoothly .

1ST - Turith for You’re Eyes Only (Mr G Currie), a quality puppy who was ideal for size and an easy winner ,refined head with beautiful dark eye giving a super expression,enough reach of neck ,well proportioned and balanced throughout.He uses himself well on the move with a hint of poodle naughtiness.He has a super coat and was beautifully presented.Should have a promising future.

 2ND - Dollycube Chewy and Curly (Miss S Hunt),well balanced youngster,who was celebrating his 1st birthday.More up on the leg than 1st but ok for size,he has a good reach of neck,short coupled and lovely overall shape .Pleasing head with good chin.Moved well with a good topline not so forward in coat but has good texture .

 3RD- Bielcee Bedazzled (Mrs K J Walsh), slightly larger boy, who I’d like a little more compact.I liked his head and expression,he has a dense coat and was well presented,could be more positive in hind action.

1ST- Greateaves Sultan (Mr D Kinson),what a glorious,handsome Red boy .His dense coat was presented to advantage .Lovely type and pleasing to go over ,scores in ribcage &body,he is necky and elegant.Excellent pigment and a most attractive head with a dark almond shaped eye giving a poodley expression.He looks a picture when free standing ,on the move he has a great attitude and poodliness,could be a little tidier in front action.

 2ND - Swan Sensation Stenart Boy Jun Ch (Mr S Artoili),an elegant dog,when going over him I liked his head,with a decent foreface and lovely expression, Ithought he could be shorter coupled .He has a well angulated rear which he really used ,his profile movement was impressive but could be sounder in hind action.Free standing looked a picture and was handled to advantage.

 3RD - Ulfengs Somebody's Dreamer (Mrs Hanne & Mr Kai Norberg-Schulz & Brevik),smaller type who was balanced and totally sound.Excellent coat and well presented.

1ST- Sotto Voce Yes I Am at Stepanelle (Imp Esp) (Mr S R & Mrs L P Land),as someone who admires a straight tail I really appreciated this boys tailset and carriage,the rest of him is equally pleasing! Balanced throughout ,he has a lovely head, eye shape and expression,reachy neck and is well put together with good ribcage and body.Superb coat which was presented to advantage.Scored in movement holding a lovely outline and very elegant.Still only young ,I look forward to seeing him as he matures.

 2ND- Starianna Midnight Rider at Pendream (Mrs H D Bull-Harris),this blue dog is a little more up on the leg ,he stands foursquare with a good front and rear and has a good reach of neck,balanced in head with good chin.His coat is correct texture .Smart and sound on the move

3RD- Aedan The Milky Bar Kid (Miss S Hunt), a cream boy ,he could use a little more reach of neck but was nice to go over ,well rounded ribcage and good body,longer cast than 1st&2nd.He has good pigment and coat texture ,sound on the move.

1ST- Aedan Fight for This Love (Miss K & Mrs N Watkins),I could quite happily take this one home ,bags of character and poodle humour he made me very happy.Fortunately he has all the quality and breed type I was looking for,easily under the measure but full of big boy attitude.I loved his head,he is refined ,with a correct stop beautiful eye shape and colour giving that irresistible expression,reachy neck which he really uses,pleasing to go over he is all in proportion with a short back and good front and rear angles, tailset is correct.His brown coat is beautifully presented and his movement the icing on the cake ,striding out with that look at me attitude.Did I say how I loved him? A pleasure to award him the CC which gives him his well deserved Crown ,there is much more to come from this youngster.

 2ND- Special Gent of The Day (Mrs V A Holliday),With a change from his usual handler I didn't recognise this dog,I’ve often seen him with his owner and thought what a pleasing type he was ,today he really showed his socks off.Up on the leg and elegant,he has a decent reach of neck and is short backed,his head has a good foreface,refined backskull and typical expression.Good coat texture and well presented,he moved and showed beautifully ,looked lovely when free standing.

 3RD- Afterglow Bag of Trix (Ms F & Mrs O Harvie & Phillips),a lovely cream,I liked his refined head with dark expressive eye and dark points.He was a nice overall shape ,with decent neck and well presented coat Moved smartly with good topline.

1ST- Am Ch/am Gr Ch/su(e) Ch Mikasa Magicstar Tommy (Mr A Marchal),as the class progressed this little dog simply got better. Lovely size,make and shape,he has a long foreface with good chin and expressive dark eye.Reachy neck ,good front and well made body, his hindquarters were well angulated and correct tail carriage.Sound and stylish with a lovely outline .Coat was correct in texture and beautifully presented.I was pleased to award him the Reserve CC

 2ND- Nasailleen Bullet Proof (Mrs L & Mrs L Moss & Nelson),a typy dog of ideal make,size and shape.Reachy neck ,short backed and well ribbed.I liked his balanced head and good chin,not the expression of 1st.He was immaculately presented and is a smart showman with lovely carriage.

 3RD- Afterglow Shantallah Slam Dunk (Mr T. Omura),an all over larger type who presented a very imposing picture,has a wealth of beautifully presented coat,longer foreface,reachy neck and well bodied.I didn't like his tail carriage .Moves out well and very showy.Just preferred the type of 1st&2nd

1ST - Philora Silver Special (Mrs S E Martin)Beautifully balanced silver so typical of this well known kennel.He has a wonderful coat texture ,for me I’d like more refinement and chiseling in head ,lovely dark eye and good pigment.He has enough reach of neck,a well rounded ribcage and good body.Balanced front and rear angulation,good tailset .Moves soundly.

1ST - Inapats Exquisite Jewel at Alderrabel (Imp Rus) (Miss S Godfrey),it seems no time since this one was being shown and chasing her title.She was shown in a very smart short trim with nothing to hide.Her head has a good foreface,refined backskull and lovely eye shape giving a poodley expression.She still shows with verve,attitude and animation,perhaps could be shorter coupled,has a good tailset which was held correctly.Best Veteran In Breed

 2ND- Ir Ch Philora Silver Pudding (Mrs S E Martin),a really lovely silver with much to appreciate,super coat,reachy neck was lovely to go over,correct tail which really never stopped wagging.

 3RD - Canparr I'm Runnin' Around (Mrs C & Mr N Parr)9 year old white who has a pretty face and dark eye.Good to go over with decent ribcage and body ,Pigment could be better,Enjoyed her day and was shown in super condition.

1ST- Montelle Talk of Magic (Miss A Bradley),I’ve admired this puppy since I saw her debut at 6months so I was delighted to finally get my hands on her.How I love her,such a typical Toy Poodle view of life confident,cheeky & fun .She has a beautiful head,so feminine and with an enchanting expression,so satisfying to go over finding a good front,ideal make and shape,short back and good hindquarters.Her tail is spot on ,totally correct and on the move she has all the soundness,carriage and style I was looking for.She is destined for the upper house .Best Puppy In Breed

 2ND- Mazooma Wacky Baccy (Mr M Oevering),really beautiful puppy with lots of quality and breed type.I loved her head which had a beautifully moulded foreface,good backskull and expressive ,feminine expression,Reachy neck which she used to advantage,I liked her size and overall shape,good hind angulation.Moves out with style and animation,for me her tail carriage spoiled her outline .

 3RD- Rosteco Jennifer Lopez (Mr A Pita Montero),such a lot to like about this puppy,she wasn't as mature in finish as those above her but has much promise.Very pretty head and expression ,reachy neck and overall a lovely make & shape.Super tailset and carried correctly Has great attitude and was very showy.Should have a bright future

1ST- Am Ch Afterglow Hello Treacle (Mr T Isherwood).I really admired this eye-catching brown,she was of course presented to show her at best advantage.I liked her size ,shape and type,she has the prettiest head and a really enchanting expression from her dark correct shaped eyes,totally feminine throughout,a good reach of neck,is well bodied with rounded ribcage.Oodles of personality and very showy.

 2ND - Afterglow Jellybaby (Mrs K & Mr J Laws & Lynn),the phrase unlucky to meet 1st is one I dislike but very apt here! Black girl with much quality,balanced head she has a longer foreface than 1st but not quite the feminine outlook.To go over she is well bodied and soundly made.Could perhaps be a fraction shorter coupled.I liked her tailset and correct carriage.She was presented to advantage but a little immature in finish .Really showed her socks off with plenty of animation and style.

 3RD - Lilo (Mrs Cf Fredlund),really nice size and shape,this pretty black moved and showed well,she has a good reach of neck ,short back,good tailset,balanced front and rear angulation.Not quite the maturity of coat yet but well presented and handled

1ST - Apples Delight with Tuttlebees (Mrs A Corish),it's a long time since I’d seen so many Toys in a class,the winner stood out for type and quality.Beautiful black with a lovely head eye and expression.Enough neck to give elegance,short back ,upstanding and elegant when freestanding.Sound on the move with style and animation.Her coat was well textured and presented to advantage.

 2ND- Seldoop Time to Shine (Mrs M Marston),a lovely black with a wealth of good textured coat beautifully presented Reachy neck,satisfying to go over with good front ,Well rounded ribcage and angulated rear ,good tailset .Moved soundly with style and drive.

 3RD - Almoona Hell's Angel NAF (Mrs Lees),more petite girl who was balanced throughout with nice type.Pretty head eye and expression,good reach of neck,Soundly made and good to go over.Well angulated rear and .Showed and moved with carriage and style.

1ST - Seldoop Xclusive (Mrs M Marston)Beautifully presented sparkling white of real quality.I always have a soft spot for the whites and I really liked this one.Loved her pretty head with dark eye and poodley expression.Reachy neck,superb body and ribcage,short back,good front .She looks a picture standing and moving,and was handled to get the best out of her.

 2ND - Canparr Buona Sera (Mrs C & Mr N Parr),white with good textured coat.She was sound on the move,for me she could be shorter in back and have more neck,pigmentation could be darker.

1ST - Am Gch Sweet Aico Miss Yoyo at Piedmont (Mr B Drewitt-Barlow), to win this class you needed to be of extraordinary quality and here she was! I totally lost my heart, here is a Toy Poodle who had it all in a small perfectly proportioned package,with the heart and attitude of her bigger cousins she dominated the class .When examining her in detail she has a beautiful face with a bewitching eye and poodley expression,has a reachy neck,short strong well made body, a good front and neat feet.Her rear is easy to see as she is trimmed immaculately in Continental trim ,you have to be an exemplary Toy Poodle to carry off this style as there's simply no hiding ,here I found her well muscled with good bend of stifle and strong hocks,her tailset and carriage are perfect and for those alone she should be applauded.No flash & dash here,she was presented and handled by a Poodle maestro who moved her at the perfect pace to demonstrate her foot perfect timing ,covering the ground with drive and animation ,she simply didn't put a foot wrong and is a little dog who makes my heart sing .CC&BOB

 2ND - Ch Mikasa Magicstar Small Talk JW (Mr A Sheppard),I am a huge admirer of this girl,she is simply out of the top drawer.An outstanding Toy who was presented in peak body and coat condition.I just love her head which is totally feminine with a well moulded foreface and correct chiselling,her eyes are dark and twinkle with poodle attitude.She has a reachy neck ,well rounded ribcage,short coupled and soundly made throughout ,she has a well bent stifle and tail is perfectly set and carried.Her coat is dense,good textured and presented in immaculate form .On the move she shows at a sensible pace showing sound reach and drive.I was delighted to award her the Reserve CC

 3RD - Swan Sensation Ukranian Victory (Mrs Y D Degtyarova),it was no disgrace to be placed third in this class,another who is of the very best quality and type,this brown on any other day I could easily have awarded a CC,she is a truly beautiful Toy Poodle who exemplified breed type and quality,the margins between the first three were so tight and in the final placings I rewarded the straighter tails and for me I’d have like to see her move at a slightly slower pace .
