I’d like to thank the officers & committee for their kind invite & to the exhibitors for the fantastic entry & for accepting my placings in good grace.

Overall, I found the quality to be high but there are a couple of niggles that seem to have crept into the breed since the last time I judged.

Profile movement is generally good, but out & back movement needs to be considered too with quite a few converging too much. Feet are another issue with large, flattish feet & long nails (as the incorrect foot shape will not wear them down). Lastly, I was concerned with tail carriages, I know a slight upward curve is allowed but some were flying them a lot higher than that.

1ST 3941 - Ch Kiromol Midsummer Spirit JW (Mr P, Mrs E & Mrs L Storey & Piehl). 9-year-old lady who has lovely head with kind eye & expression. Super body shape & proportions, her front is straight & well boned, good neck & shoulder, excellent topline & hind quarters. Shown in super muscle & body condition she moved out soundly & freely, BVIB.

1ST 3922 - Priorpark’s Par The Course (Miss H Parsons). Beautiful head, eye & expression on this 7-month baby boy. Excellent, slightly crested neck into clean well laid shoulder, super front with good bone & feet. Excellent topline, good depth & spring of rib for age, good loin, super turn of stifle with well let down hocks & good musculature for age. He is just a baby & so needs to tighten up all through, but he was sound out & back with a super stride & carried himself well. I fell for his charms & he could not be denied BPD & BPIB, I was delighted to hear he went on to Puppy group 2 only beaten by the eventual BPIS.

2ND 3944 - Chioke for Zeri by Ridgelove (Miss M & Mr H Strauja & Price). Another quality pup again 7-months old. He has a super head, with dark expressive eye, excellent neck & shoulder into good front. Super topline & underline & excellent quarters, moved out soundly with a good footfall & pushed the winner hard.

2ND 3951 - Vkloof Duke Lambo Galardo (Mr A Zhao). Upstanding boy of 11 months, strong head with dark eye, pleasing neck & shoulder, needs to drop in chest, good topline & quarters. He moved out well enough but needs to tighten all through.

1ST 3928 - Sofala Raffaello (Mrs N D Raymond). Just out of puppy, this boy throws a stunning outline on the stack. He has a good head & eye, super front, excellent neck, shoulder & topline, good depth of chest, spring of rib & super quarters. He moved soundly out & back with an excellent stride in profile. Shown in gleaming coat & condition.

 2ND 3887 - Nuthouse Mastermind (Mr J & Mrs S Hicks). Another who has just left the puppy class, he has a pleasing head, is good for size, has an excellent forehand, super body depth, topline & quarters. On the move he has a good stride, but needs to tighten fore & aft, he may have been feeling the heat a little as he was a little lacklustre on the move.

 2ND 3898 - Ungowa On The Road Again (Mrs E Johnson). Upstanding boy, he is a little heavy in head for my preference, good neck, would prefer a better lay of shoulder. Good bone, straight front & good feet, super topline into well-muscled quarters, he moved out well but not the length of stride of the winner.

1ST 3863 - Wolfgang Amadeus (Mrs M Clarke). Beautiful head, with a dark eye & lovely expression. He has a super neck & shoulder, excellent topline, depth of chest & spring of rib, strong loin, good tailset. He moved out soundly with a free & easy stride.

2ND 3858 - Kiromol Baron Zuko (Mrs M Cahane). Pleasing head, eye & expression, lovely neck & shoulder into super front & tight feet. Good depth of body, spring of rib, strong loin & excellent topline. He has a good turn of stifle, well let down hocks & super muscletone. He moved out well but didn’t quite match the stride of the winner.

1ST 3913 - Carlincox Mash It Up JW (Mr A & Mrs A & Mr C & Mrs L Murphy & Murphy & Cox & Cox). This boy is all male, he has a masculine head, with expressive eye. Super neck, excellent shoulders, straight well boned front & super feet, he has good depth of chest, spring of rib & a strong loin. Excellent quarters with super muscletone which powered him around the ring with a free & easy stride & he was sound & true out & back! Shown in gleaming coat & condition he was certainly in the running for top honours.

2ND 3871 - Gunthwaites Fancy Man JW (Miss K J Davies). Another stallion hound, he has a super head, eye & expression. Excellent forehand construction, strong bone & well arched toes, good depth of chest, he is well ribbed back to strong loin. His topline is level & his hindquarters were very well made & well-muscled, he too was sound as a pound & moved round the ring with an effortless stride, very close up to the winner today.

1ST 3930 - Ch Priorpark You Coda Be Mine of Metalrock JW (K Rhodes). This boy commands your attention from the time he enters the ring! He has a super head, eye & expression, slightly crested neck into clean well laid-back shoulder with good return of upper arm. His front is straight & well boned, he has super tight feet, good depth of chest, spring of rib & is well ribbed back to strong slightly arched loin. He has super quarters with good width & well-muscled 2nd thigh which allowed him to move out soundly fore & aft with a ground covering stride in profile. Shown in gleaming coat & conditioning, he pulled out all the stops & totally captivated me. I was delighted to award him the CC & ultimatly BOB, I was thrilled to hear he went on to Hound Group 4.

2ND 3879 - Ch Kinabula’s Just for The Record (Mrs M L Farleigh). Pleasing head & expression, super forehand with good bone & tight feet, good depth of chest & spring of rib. He has a level topline, good tailset, well let down hocks & good musculature throughout. Moved out well in all directions with a good ground covering stride, shown in spanking condition he fully deserved the RCC.

1ST 3877 - Rubiltra Gunna Be Striking (Mrs C Edwards). Pleasing head, super eye & expression on this 15-month-old lady. She has a good forehand, straight front, excellent topline & underline, good depth of chest & super quarters. She was shown in gleaming coat & condition & moved out very well to win this class.

 2ND 3952 - Vkloof Lady Lambo Huracan (Mr A Zhao). Pretty girl with expressive eye, good forehand, topline & quarters. Well off for bone, she needs to spring in rib still but has time still at 11 months. Moved out well in profile, needs to tighten on the out & back.

1ST 3919 - Priorpark Predicament (Miss H Parsons). Pretty girl of 7 months, she has a kind expressive eye, super forehand with good front & feet, excellent topline & good depth for age. Her quarters are well put together & she is developing nicely, moved out very well in profile but is a little giddy out & back. I will watch with interest to see how she matures.

2ND 3903 - Thomasridge Faraway Tree (Mrs R Kenwrick). Pretty 8-month girl with a kind expressive eye, she has a pleasing forehand & quarters, good topline & underline. She was shown in super condition, moved out well & was enjoying her day.

She has a beautiful head& expression from her kind eye, excellent neck & shoulder into straight front, strong pasterns & tight feet. She has a super topline & underline, has good ribbing & loin & super quarters. She was sound & true with a lovely side gait, shown in super coat & conditioning, I was delighted to award her BPB.

1ST 3891 - Mutoko's Parkers Glory JW (Miss Z Hudson). Beautiful head & eye on this almost 18-month-old girl, she has a super forehand with good neck, shoulders, front & feet. Level topline, good depth of chest, spring of rib & strong loin. Her quarters are well made, she was in super condition, with hard muscle & a gleaming coat, moved out soundly with a good stride. I wouldn’t want her any bigger.

2ND 3940 - Kiromol Dare to Flair (Mr P, Mrs E & Mrs L Storey & Piehl). This 13-month-old girlie pushed the winner hard, she has a super head & eye, excellent neck & shoulder, straight well boned front, lovely topline & underline & shapely quarters. Sound as a pound she moved with an easy stride.

Lovely depth to body, she has a good spring of rib & is well ribbed back to strong loin, super topline & tailset. She has a good turn of stifle & well let down hocks, muscletone is 1st class & her conditioning spot on. She moved soundly & freely with an excellent stride in profile. Pushed very hard for the top spots.

2ND 3866 - Carlincox Jerseyroyal JW (Mr C & Mrs L & Mrs V Cox & Cox & Musgrave). 2-year-old lady who is all of a piece. She has a pleasing head, eye & expression, good neck, shoulder, front & feet. Super topline, underline & quarters. She was shown is excellent jacket & good muscletone, moved out well in all directions.

1ST 3861 - Royalridge Aurora (Miss A & Mr R Catley & Mcgimpsey). This beautiful girl caught my eye as she entered the ring. She has the most beautiful head & expression with a mischievous glint in her eye. She has a superb neck with slight crest into textbook shoulder construction, straight well boned forelegs with good strength in pasterns & tight feet. She holds her topline well, has a very good depth of chest, spring of rib & is well ribbed back to short, strong loin. Her quarters have good width, with well let down hocks. Her conditioning & musculature were 1st class & she moved out well with a parallel, free & easy stride with perfect footfall. The more I looked at her the more I loved her, she is balanced & has that air of quality. Delighted to award her the RCC in very good company.

2ND 3931 - Lobengula Pearl (Mrs K Salmon). Pleasing head & eye, good neck & shoulder, good depth of chest & spring of rib. Level topline, good underline & excellent quarters. She moved well in all directions.

She has a pleasing head & expression, super forehand with good front, bone & excellent feet. She has super body properties, level topline, good depth, spring & loin. Super, well made & muscled quarters & her coat & conditioning was great. Moved soundly with style.

2ND 3942 - Kiromol Tip Toe and Go (ai) (Mr P, Mrs E & Mrs L Storey & Piehl). Pleasing head, eye & expression, good forehand with straight well boned front & excellent feet. Her topline is correct & she has a good underline, good depth & spring of rib. Super quarters with excellent muscletone which allowed her to move out with an effortless stride, just preferred the winner coming towards me.

1ST 3856 - Ch Gunthwaites Ayr of Elegance JW (Mrs J M & Mr D H Bates). This young lady is quite breathtaking, she has a feminine head with a captivating eye & expression. Crested neck into clean, sloping shoulder, straight front, with quality bone, neat tight feet. She has good fill in in front, has a super depth of chest, spring of rib, is well ribbed back to strong slightly arched loin. Her topline is excellent with good tailset and super quarters. Sound as a pound out & back with an effortless free & easy stride in profile, add to this top-class conditioning & sympathetic handling she could not be denied the CC. After a large class & the B challenge, the heat took its toll & she flagged a little in the BOB challenge. She has the stamp of quality & is only young, I’m sure we will see a lot more of this young lady.

2ND 3918 - Ch Priorpark Poetry in Motion JW (Miss H Parsons). This super girl is beautifully constructed with a pleasing head & expression, lovely forehand construction, good bone & substance, super topline, underline, ribbing & quarters. She was shown in gleaming coat & conditioning & powered round the ring with a super side gate, not as clean in front as the winner today.
