Thank you to WELKS for this appointment and to the exhibitors for the super entry.

Delighted to give my 1st set of CCs in Labradors today having first judged them over 40 years ago.

I found heads in males very varied with some looking more like Mastiffs than Labs, losing that kind expression, and breed type, with pigment like goggles that did not help either.. Coats, condition and tails were mostly excellent, good muscle tone and free movement too. In the bitches type was much more pleasing and my top 4 were outstanding as were my 3 top males. The lovely big ring gave them all and opportunity to shine, thank you all for your entries.

Lovely black dog I have admired for many years, looking great as a veteran too. Super head, eyes expression, correct ears and overall make and shape. Correct angulation front and rear, good coat and condition and stands on good feet. Moved well to take this class and later Best Veteran in Breed.

Chocolate super outline. So much to like about him, just needs to mature and fill out. Loved his head, dark eye, good feet and great movement. Has it all there for the future.

 Black with good head type, long in the back spoilt his overall shape and balance. Good angulation and moved well.

 What a fabulous dog – all male yellow, quality from head to tail. Excellent angulation front and rear, good muscle tone and overall type. . In full bloom and at one with his handler on the move. Thought he was a real find in this class and it only got better, he really stood out in the challenge for type, movement and quality - Dog CC later on. Congratulations.

 Another lovely surprise, so good for shape, construction and overall quality. Super mover who when it came to the Res CC challenge, he pulled out all the stops to take it. Congratulations.

 Sometimes an exhibit just grabs your heart for its sheer quality and has everything you want to find during your judging. This girl did that! Just fabulous from her feminine head, dark eye, good neck, shoulders and topline to the otter tail. In fabulous coat and condition. And to complete the picture strode round the ring like she owned it - so at one with her handler. Won this class, Best Bitch, CC & BOB.
