Miniature Pinschers

Despite the show being held in spring the judging was all indoors with temperatures feeling more like deepest winter. The cold did little to help some of the exhibits. Not the largest of entries but the quality was high in both sexes.

1, RCC & BV Parker’s Ch VARDENAIS LUMOS, A great start to the day with a handsome boy displaying excellent breed type. Deep red 7 year old. Masculine head but no way coarse. Darkest of oval eyes, good bite and highset ears used to advantage. Straight front and tidy feet. Nice slightly arched neck,good rib and the best of toplines, correct high set tail and moderate rear angulation. Moved well in front with good lift and strong rear movement. He just couldn’t be ignored in the challenge. Delighted to see that he won the veteran Group later in the day. Well done.

1 & BP Watkins’ HAWKSFLIGHT AMERICAN JAZZ, 7 mth old red who presents a lovely profile. He has a super head with the darkest of eyes, good bite. Ears high set and used well. Good straight front and excellent cat like feet. Moderate neck and nice rib for age, level topline has the true hackney action in front and sound rear gait. Presents an excellent profile One I’m sure has a bright future. Delighted to see he later went on to PG3.

1 Park’s RAYJEN STRAWBERRY PIE, 10 mth old red, appealing in outline, good head proportions, good eyes and bite correct high set ears used well. Nice legs and feet ok, moderate neck, nicely ribbed, good tailset. Moderate rear angulation. Needs to muscle up a little to improve his rear movement, he was also a tad untidy in his front action.

1 McLoughlin’s KRIEGER’S KILTED DRAGON,B/T of compact outline. His head is a little on the lean side. Good bite and dark oval eyes. Straight front and very good feet. Fair rib, good topline. Moderate rear angulation. He moves soundly and has some style.

2 Hewitts’ ADURUS SUNDANCE KID FOR CATAMYRANN, 12mth old red who is quite mature, nice masculine head, good bite and eyes. Fair length of neck. Straight front, feet could be better, Nice rib and topline. Moderate rear angulation. Moves with a nice front action and is quite positive behind.

3 Sopers’ DOBENAR LEONIDAS

1 James’ JAEGERSON THE EDGE, B/T with good head piece, high set ears used well. Straight front and tidy feet. Moderate neck, nice rib and level topline. Moderate rear angulation. Moved ok, would just prefer a little more lift in front.

2 Adurus Sundance Kid for Catamyrann

1 Parker’s KAYPIN HAPPY AND YOU KNOW IT, stag red, with a little heavy in head for me, good bite, eyes, ears. Straight front, feet ok. Moderate length of neck, nicely ribbed, level topline, nicely muscled rear .Moves with a little hackney in front and strong rear action.

1 Santoriellos’ PINICIO TWIST AND SHOUT JW, red of ideal make and shape. Pleasing head and expression. Nice legs and good feet. Nice neck and good rib, level topline. Moderately angulated rear. Presented in tip top order. On the move he was a tad wide coming, lovely profile and he uses his ears well..

2 James & Cherry’s JAEGERSON HENDRIX ,Red with a lovely head. Straight front, feet ok .Nicely ribbed with level topline. Moderate rear angulation. Moves well in front with lift and strong rear action.

1 & CC Watkins & Bugden’s CH HAWKSFLIGHT HOT PURSUIT JW, one I judged at 6mths of age and how he has matured. Red of excellent make and shape. He has the most lovely head and expression, Good slightly sarched neck leading to a well ribbed body, level topline, good tail set. Moderately angulated. Covers the ground well with true hackney in front and strong rear gait.

2 Santoriellos’ PINICIO RED REBELLION JW, red I’ve done well for previously. He has a super make and shape smashing head ,to be critical ears could be a tad smaller. Nicely arched neck. Rear movement a tad untidy.

1, Kirbys’ VARDENAIS LIMINI WITH KIRBSEA,7 yr old red who was difficult to assess on the table, she was most unhappy.She has a pleasing feminine head,earset ok although they could be a little firmer.Nice legs feet ok.Nicely ribbed, topline a tad rounded. And tailset a little on the low side. She was not moved at a pace to show herself off.

1 Whetter’s RAYJEN STRAWBERRY TART AT MANDOLAIS, red with a very lovely feminine head, good eyes and ear set, although they could be a tad smaller. Straight front and tidy feet, nicely ribbed for age, good topline Not the tail for me. Moderate rear angulation. Moved well in front and she muscles up her rear gait can improve.

2 Colbourne-Baber’s DANTON BUTTERCUP,another very pretty girl, she has a smashing head, good eyes and bite, good ear set and she uses them well. Nice legs and neat feet. Moderate neck, nice rib for age,decent tail set. Lost the class on her rear movement which needs to settle.

1 & RCC Urwins’ VICKSTOCK WOW ANEEVA, red of good make & shape. She has a lovely expressive head, good eyes, bite and earset. Medium neck holding her head proudly on the move. Nice rib and level topline ,moderate rear angulation .Moves well in front with good lift. Most pleasing

1 Whetter’s RAYJEN FAIRY CAKE AT MANDOLAIS 2yr B/T of good balance, liked her expressive head, good eyes and bite, good earset .Good legs, feet a little long. Nice rib and level topline. Moderate rear angulation. On the move she was a tad wide in front, elbow could be tighter.

1,CC & BOB Stracey’s KRIEGER’S KISS’N’TELL, B/T with a super head, lovely dark sparkling eyes, good bite, high set ears, Nice legs and decent feet. Fair length of neck, nicely ribbed body. Moderate rear angulation. Moves well in front and l behind and presents a lovely profile. The ear carriage counted in her favour when it came to best of breed. Congratulations on G3.

2 James’ Ch JAEGERSON CODE RED, one I have judged previously, 4 yr old of a larger type. She has a pleasing head, ear set ok but they are a tad soft. Good legs, tidy feet, Nicely ribbed. Moved well both ways, but preferred the femininity of 1.
