Special Beginners

1st: 308 YATES, Mrs J & Mr M & YATES, Mr Mark Gailiech Barmstonson. 5 year old male, pleasing make and shape who was clean in outline. Masculine head, good planes, would like a slightly darker eye. Decent length of neck, little upright in front angulation, well ribbed back. Level topline good width to thigh. Just a little narrow all through. Good muscular development and moved with carriage in profile.

Minor puppy

1st: 287 SANDIFORD, Mr P & SANDIFORD, Mrs C A Hernwood Rocket Man

6 months and looking very promising. Lovely head with good work for his age, super dark eye and melting expression, well proportioned with the correct skull shape for his age. Arched neck of good length, balanced angles both ends. Strong bone and feet. Well bodied with good substance throughout. Level topline, good finish to his croup and width to thigh. Uses himself well on the move, just needs to firm up as he matures. A very nice prospect who I am sure will have a bright future.

Junior

1st: 293 SMITH, Mrs C L Glenmaurangi Apollo At Glenkinchie

13 months with a pleasing outline. Masculine head with good work and a gentle expression. Good reach of neck and well made front assembly, still needing to fill in front as he matures. Level topline and well ribbed back, rather short through loin. Croup falls a little. Well made quarters and good muscle tone. Moved true out and back but being held back by the handler which caused him to roach his topline in profile.

2nd: 298 TIMMERMANN, Mrs Silvia & CORNUM, mrs Rhonda & WELL Munroc Castle Stalker At Shaker Hill

Pleasing head and expression, still needing to break and darken in eye as he matures. Good neck and shoulder, little short in return and picks up a little in front action on the move. Well bodied with good depth to his chest. Coup slopes a little. Quarters developing and muscling up. Just needs to settle on the move and work with his handler a little to get the best out of him. Faster isn’t always better on the move.

Post grad

1st: 256 COLLINS-PITMAN, Mrs Jean & COX, Mrs L Amscot Air Apparent

Very striking in outline, clean and well balanced not overdone and had good type about him. On the first stack he wasn’t settled with his handler and the picture became clearer the as the class went on. Masculine head of good proportions, with the correct amount of work, clean without coarseness and a kind eye and expression. Good reach of neck which was muscular and had a good crest. Well made front assembly with required lay back of shoulder and a good return of forearm. Level topline and well ribbed back, firm through the loin, still needing to fill in front a little and drop as he matures. Liked his finish to the croup and tail set. Good width to quarters, developed second thigh and in hard condition Moved with a care free manner, he was certainly enjoying being there and his temperament was superb. He covered the ground with a precise footfall, good extension both ends and had carriage. My Pleasure to award him the CC at this young age and I hope he continues to develop in the manner his potential shows.

2nd: 270 HOGG, Mrs Faye & HOGG, Mr Andrew Gailiech Ngalyod

Masculine head, slightly stronger in back skull. Correct in proportions. Good neck and shoulder. Well boned legs and neat feet. Ribbed back and firm loin. Could benefit from a little more body and weight. Correct finish to croup. Good bend of stifles. Moved covering the ground just a little close behind.

Limit Dog

1st: 252 ASHLEY-TURNER, Ms Alison Hernwood The Botanist Jw Shcex Osw

Upstanding dog and plenty of him but not coarse. Masculine head and kind eye. Good proportions with the correct finish to the fore face. Good reach of neck and well made front assembly and return of forearm. Stands on well boned legs and neat feet. Depth to the chest and well ribbed back. Level topline and good finish to the croup. Developed quarters with a good bend to the stifles. Moved true out and back but lacked a little drive on the move to begin with, as the class went on he stepped up his game and in the challenge he was on form. He is heavily coated and well presented, you need to get your hands on him to feel his construction properly. Pleased to award him the RCC.

2nd: 274 JOHNSTON, Mr Paul & JOHNSTON, Mrs Linda & JOHNSTON Ludstar Maccabee At Glenquin (Imp) It

Liked him for type and balance. Pleasing head, a little flatter in skull, kind and expressive eyes. Good neck and front assembly, good depth to forechest. Well ribbed back, firm in loin and good finish to the croup. Developed quarters and good muscle tone. True on the move but handler needs to stride out with him to get him into his pace.

1st: 284 PHILLIPS, Mrs A & WATKINS, Ms Tereza & MILES, Ms E Sh Ch Glenmaurangi Mandalorian Jw

Liked his type and outline, balanced with substance but not overdone. Masculine head with good work and a gentle expression. Good neck and shoulders and the best front assembly in the class. Straight front, well boned legs and feet. Level topline and good finish to the croup. Well ribbed back and firm in loin. Good quarters and low hock to heel. Moved with carriage and maintaining his outline on the move to take the class. In the challenge he moved rather wide behind and couldn’t get into his stride.

2nd: 254 BAINES, Mrs P J Sh Ch Bryerdale Quantas (a.i)

Male in super condition and well presented. Pleasing head and eye with a good finish to the fore face. Good reach of neck and well placed shoulders, enough return of forearm. Topline firm but not as level as one. Good through the rib and loin and well developed quarters, tail set correct but lifted a little on the move. Moved well in profile, not as tidy as one coming towards.

2nd: 265 FORD, Mr. & Mrs. Ian & Connie Sh Ch Liric Fusilier With Shillay JW Sh.CM ShCEx

Liked his make and shape. Appealing head, well worked and typical expression. Lovely reach of neck and well made front assembly, correct bone and neat feet. Well ribbed back but far too much weight today. Level topline and good finish to the croup. Good bend of stifle and short from hock to heel. Moved true but very reluctant and no drive, he didn’t want to play ball today.

2nd: 288 SANDIFORD, Mr P & SANDIFORD, Mrs C A Hernwood Eternal Flame

Preferred the head and expression to this lady at this stage. Raw with bags of potential. Well made throughout with everything where you should want it to be at this stage in development. Clean through neck and shoulder, good body proportions, just needs to drop in her quarters as she matures. Moved very and steady, should have a bright future.

Neither dog or handler should be in the ring, almost withheld. Feminine head and dark eye. Tans could be better. Good bone and neat feet. Too heavy, sitting in quarters and good tail set. No condition.
