Puppy Dog

Blue Jewel’s Garvin (Imp Che) (Miss L Hewett)

7 months old, a very raw young chap who has a good construction throughout, just needs to mature. Pleasing head with clean cheeks, good neck and shoulder, topline and finish. Moderately angled both ends. Good bone. Just needs to learn his trade and settle on the move.

Limit Dog

Fynder Reacher (Ms L Latheron)

Upstanding male standing over plenty of ground. Masculine head with correct wedge shaped muzzle, a shade cheeky. Good neck and shoulders with a straight front. Goold bone and substance. Ribs well sprung and a good finish to the croup. Moved ok but lacked enthusiasm. Good coat texture of crisp curls. Could benefit from a little weight loss. Pleased to award him the RCC.

Open Dog

Sh Ch Curlyco My Hot Rockstar (Mr J & Mrs A Hackett & Williams)

Very smart dog of good proportions. Most appealing head with clean cheeks and good proportions, wedge shaped muzzle and dark almond shaped eyes giving an intelligent yet mischievous expression. Good reach of neck and well made front assembly. Stands straight in front. Good barrelled ribs which were well back and firm in topline. Well made quarters. Effortless movement and had carriage portraying good reach and drive. Presented beautifully in full coat of good colour and crisp curls. My pleasure to award him the DCC and BOB.

2nd

Sh Ch Cuboglach Sandy Wave (Mr R & Mrs Me Duckmanton)

Upstanding dog who is pleasing in head, a little cheeky compared to the winner. Good reach of neck and well placed shoulders, decent return of forearm. Good ribs, which were well sprung and back, level topline. Enough bend of stifle and well let down hocks. Moved well in profile although moved a little too fast and his made him move wider behind to compensate. Carrying a little too much weight and his coat was softer than crisp.

Special Beginners

Cambridgcurl Aileen Fox (Prof C A T Stoddart)

Feminine head of correct proportions. Slightly off square in outline and standing over plenty of ground. Straight front, good lay of shoulder and enough depth to chest for her age. Ribs well back and developing the correct spring, firm in topline. Fluid movement and true out and back. Good coat texture.

2nd

Santarocco Derry (Miss Zoe & Mr Tom Davey)

I liked her overall proportions, make and shape. Feminine head with clean cheeks, her eyes need to darken which should hopefully come with age . Enough neck, pleasing in front assembly and still needs to fill in front and drop in forechest as expected at this age. Good rib and level topline. Hard condition and well presented. Had carriage in profile and covered the ground.

Puppy Bitch

Cairteila Look at Me Now (Mrs C Foody)

Really liked her for attitude and carriage for one so young. Beautiful head and expression with a hint of mischievousness. Well made throughout, good angulation both ends and with her chest and ribs developing well. Level topline and good muscular development. In super coat of correct colour and crisp curls. Moved extremely well with an accurate footfall, good carriage and style. Pushed hard for the RCC. .

Limit Bitch

Daffydown Dilly (Mr R & Mrs H Douglas)

Pleased in outline and overall balance. To be critical carrying a little too much coat making her look heavy but when I got my hands on her it confirmed that this was coat and she was in very good body condition. Feminine head which is well proportioned but a shade cheeky. Good neck and well made front assembly. Super rib, well sprung and back to a firm and compact loin with a correct finish to the croup. Correct coat texture and colour. Moved freely and covered the ground with carriage and that typical temperament. Pleased to award her the RCC.

2nd

Kendenner Louisa at Cairteila (Mrs C Foody)

Very appealing head with clean cheeks and good length and finish to muzzle. Balanced angles both ends although a little straight. Chest developing well and ribs back to a firm loin. Slightly longer cast, would like a tad more leg. Coat forming crisp curls and well presented. She moved out well to gain her place and had carriage and attitude in abundance.

3rd

Famous Crowds Secret Parade at Mudlarks (Mr R & Mrs S Andrews)

Firm loin and good finish to the croup. Well bent stifles with good muscular development, short from hock to heel. Moved effortlessly and covered the ground with ease having carriage and style.
