VETERAN DOG (Ent 2 Abs 0)
1st Sandiford & Lewis’ Sh Ch Hernwood Neptune Sea. 7yr with a lovely outline. Liked his head which is of correct depth and breadth with strong muzzle and dark eyes. Moderate neck flows into a level topline down to a correct tailset. Very good forequarters with well laid shoulders and good forechest. Straight front with good bone and feet. Well sprung ribs of correct depth. Eyecatching on the move, true from all sides and showing powerful drive in profile. Took my eye and set the bar that no other dog could match. CC, BOS & BV
2nd Ford’s Sh Ch Liric Fusilier with Shillay JW ShCM ShCEx. 9yr old, different in type to my winner, slightly longer cast but still with many good breed points. Another with a correctly proportioned head with good depth and dark eyes. Well laid shoulders but not the return of upper arm of 1st and less forechest. Straight front ahead of deep well sprung ribs under a level back and correct tailset. Not quite as tidy coming towards as 1st but another easy free mover in profile with good drive. RCC

MINOR PUPPY DOG (Ent 1 Abs 0)
1st Burke’s Cottonstones Dazzling Lad. Just 6mths and a typical gangly puppy loving life. Good depth and shape to head with dark eyes and well set ears. Clean neck into well laid shoulders. Straight front with good bone and neat oval feet. Level back but drops off a little at the croup. Good rear angulation. Moved as such a young puppy should, generally straight and true and a few co-ordinated strides in profile. Lots of growing and developing to do.

PUPPY DOG (Ent 2 Abs 0)
Two very nice but different puppies
1st Sandiford & Lomas’ Hernwood Rocket Man JW. 11mths, the breed standard opens with “Stylish dog, with galloping lines” and that is a good way to describe this youngster. Clean outline and a very good head of correct proportions and depth, dark eyes and well set ears. Clean through neck into well laid shoulders and good forechest. Straight front and neat feet. Ribs to elbow and well sprung under a level back and correct tailset and carriage. Good rear angles. Best mover, true, free with drive. BPD and BPIB.
2nd Halliday’s Hero Majestic Manon Lescaut Yennadon (Imp Cze). 10mths and of different type to 1. Heavier build and shorter coupled. Head deep but broad, dark eyes and well set ears. Clean neck into well laid shoulders and good forechest. Straight front with good bone and feet. Well sprung ribs of good depth and deep through loin. Correct rear angles. Moved well, not as tidy in front as 1st but lovely driving profile. 

POST GRADUATE DOG (Ent 3 Abs 0)
1st Hogg’s Gailiech Ngalyod. 3yr presenting a good outline. Good shape to head with correct proportions and dark eyes. Clean neck into well laid shoulders, straight front with a little forechest. Level topline over well sprung ribs just reaching elbow. Short loin to a well angled rear with a good turn of stifle. Moves free and true with drive.
2nd Jarvis’ Beechlake Somersetter. 2yr and another of good overall shape, a little broader through the skull. Well laid shoulders and straight front. Deep well sprung ribs under a level topline that drops off at the croup giving a slightly low tailset. Enough rear angulation, moved well but not as tidy in front as 1st.

LIMIT DOG (Ent 2 Abs 0)
1st Nagaty’s Marlbeck Maldini. Headed up this class of two different dogs. Preferred the outline of my winner on the stand. Well shaped head with mid brown eyes. Clean neck into well laid shoulders, straight front and neat feet. Deep chest through to a short loin, correct tailset and carriage. Good rear angles, moved true with drive and good stride.
2nd Henderson’s When I Was Your Man Black Lofty ShCEx (Imp Pol). 4yr old of different outline being longer cast. Head broad through skull with dark eyes and correct depth. Neck flows into well laid shoulders, good bone and feet. Level topline and correct tail set but carried a little up today. Good rear angulation. A true mover but lacks stride making him look very ‘busy’ in profile.

OPEN DOG (Ent 6 Abs 0)
Really close call between my first 2.
1st Halliday’s Ch Yennadon Barra JW SGWC. 5yr old presenting a lovely outline, smaller frame but all in correct proportion. Masculine head, as broad as I would like and of good depth, lovely dark eyes and a deep muzzle. Clean neck into very good forequarters with well laid shoulders and return of upper arm, straight front with neat feet. Deep well sprung ribs back to a short loin under level topline and correct tail set and carriage. Super rear angles with good turn of stifle and in muscular condition. True smooth mover with drive.
2nd Mitchell’s Sh Ch Cafotaliena Thief of Hearts by Brobruick JW. Another of pleasing outline, lovely shape and proportions to head, dark hazel eyes, clean through neck to well laid shoulders. Level topline over deep well-sprung ribs, through a short loin to a well angled rear. Another true driving mover.

VETERAN BITCH (Ent 2 Abs 0 W/D 1)
1st Whiting’s Locksheath True Baloo. A feminine 9yr old, longer cast B. Good head proportions with dark eyes. Well laid shoulders and straight front with good bone and feet. Level topline over a deep chest with well sprung ribs through to a deep loin. Correct tail set and carriage. Good rear angles, moved ok.

MINOR PUPPY BITCH (Ent 1 Abs 0)
1st Potter’s Benbuie Chinook at Helian. 7mths and very much a baby. Not quite settled in her surroundings today with the tannoy and the echo in the hall. When settled she presents a lovely outline. Feminine head of correct proportions and dark eyes. Well made forequarters, level topline through a well angled rear. Just needs time.

JUNIOR BITCH (Ent 1 Abs 0)
1st Phillips & Watkins’ Flaxheath Cover Girl at Glenmaurangi. 13mths and what a stylish young lady, feminine but with strength. Correct through head with lovely dark eyes with a naughty glint. Super forequarters with well laid shoulders and good forechest, straight front and neat feet. Deep chest through to a deep loin. Good rear angles and so true on the move with reach and drive.

YEARLING BITCH (Ent 2 Abs 1)
1st Lines’ Flaxheath Centrefold. 13mths old and another not too happy in the hall today. Presenting a lovely outline with correct shape and proportions to the head with dark eyes. Clean neck to well laid shoulders, straight front with good bone and feet. Level topline over deep ribs. Good rear angles and correct tailset. Just needs to settle on the move.

POST GRADUATE BITCH (Ent 2 Abs 0)
1st Sandiford & Mazzeo’s Eusanit Marcella. Another close class between these. Liked her outline on the stand. Feminine head of correct proportions and dark eyes. Very well laid shoulders with return of upper arm with forechest. Straight front with good bone and feet. Level topline over deep well-sprung ribs through to a well angulated rear. On the move she is true all round with good reach and drive.
2nd Passmore’s Beechlake The Poet in My Heart. 2yr, more compact B presenting a very nice outline. Pleasing head of correct proportions and dark eyes. Well laid shoulders and good forechest. Straight front but lighter in bone. Level topline to a correctly set tail but would like a little more angulation behind. Moved a little wider coming towards, true behind with good drive.

Limit BITCH (Ent 3 Abs 2)
1ST Burke’s - Beechlake Hey Jude. 4yrs old who presents a very nice outline, feminine but with strength. Correct through head with nice dark eyes. Clean neck flows into super forequarters with well laid shoulders and return of upper arm with forechest. Deep well sprung ribs under a level topline to a good tail set. True and steady on the move with good reach and drive.

OPEN BITCH (Ent 5 Abs 0).
What a super class.
1st Sandiford & Lewis’ Hernwood Gin Fizz JW. A 3yr old presenting a super outline, feminine with strength. Super head shape and proportions with dark eyes and well set ears. Clean neck into super forequarters with well laid shoulders and lovely forechest. Deep well sprung ribs under a level topline. Excels in rear, well muscled and best width of ham of the day. On the move she is true fore and aft, free & driving in profile. Could not be denied the BCC which I understand is her 3rd, congratulations. She then went on to out move the dog for BOB
2nd Phillips & Watkins’ Sh Ch Flaxheath Top Model at Glenmaurangi. One of very few of todays entry I have judged before. Now 8yrs old and a quality B. Another with a super outline, correct all through. Clean neck into well laid shoulders and a level topline over deep well-sprung ribs. Straight front with good bone. Well angulated, muscular rear. Another lovely mover clean behind, reach and drive in profile. Not as straight in front as 1st but still had the quality to win RCC
