RICHMOND CHAMPIONSHIP DOG SHOW

This weekend was my first time judging in the UK and I enjoyed judging the Norwich Terriers. The weather was wet and the ring surface was rough however most adapted and showed well.

Class 1131 PD (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1823 RUSSELL, Mr Harry Thomas Casahasabi Lick Of Paint. Well-presented compact active dog. Broad head, good stop with strong muzzle shorter than length of skull with keen expression. Good depth of chest, level topline and well angulated front and rear. Moved with good drive.

2nd: 1814 DARKINS, Miss Shoshone Montana Ragus Sand Marten. Similar to first placed. Strong well-presented dog in good coat. Correct head proportions, broad back skull with muzzle shorter, scissor bite, dark eyes and full expression. Deep chest and good angulation front and rear. Moved with good side gait, just a little wide in front.

Class 1132 JD (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1811 CRAWLEY, Mrs L A Ragus War Paint. Compact strong dog with good angulation. Head strong, erect ears well set, dark eyes, good stop and keen expression. Well sprung ribs, level topline, well-muscled hind. Body overall could have a little less condition for me. Moved soundly.

Class 1134 LD (2 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 1821 MARTIN, Mrs Margaret Frances Ragus Oh Boy. Smart compact strong dog who showed up on his toes. Head broad, good width between ears, strong muzzle, dark eyes and keen expression. Well ribbed back, short loin, strong well-muscled hind. Good textured double coat. Moved with drive and confidence.

Class 1135 OD (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1812 CRAWLEY, Mrs L A & BALDWIN, MRS Y Ch Ragus Punch Bowl. Strong well balanced very sound dog. Head correct in every way, broad skull, ears correct size erect, dark oval shaped eyes, strong muzzle and bright and keen expression. Body well-muscled and well angulated front and rear. Good depth of chest and level topline. A real showman up on his toes and moved around the ring with purpose and good drive.

Class 1136 PB (4 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 1817 HAYNES, Mr Alan Alantro Regal Jewel. Compact elegant bitch. Head broad, ears erect well set apart, eyes dark and scissor bite and keen expression. Good depth and width of chest, ribbed well back. Double coat in good condition. Well angulated front and rear. Moved soundly with a good outline.

2nd: 1822 OUVERNEY, Mr Saulo Casahasabi Paint My Love. Well balanced compact bitch. Elegant expression, well placed ears, dark oval shaped eyes, good stop and scissor bite. Good depth and width of chest. Coat in development. Moved true and free.

3rd: 1815 DARKINS, Miss Shoshone Montana Trutillian Ulysses

Class 1137 JB (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1813 DARKINS, Miss Shoshone Montana Winflash Love To Question. Compact bitch who seemed not comfortable with the surface today. Head, would prefer more width of back skull. Good stop, dark oval eyes and scissor bite. Deep chest, well ribbed back. Good angulation front and rear. Front movement I would prefer not as wide.

1st: 1817 HAYNES, Mr Alan Alantro Regal Jewel “see critique above” PB class.

2nd: 1815 DARKINS, Miss Shoshone Montana Trutillian Ulysses. Placed 3rd in puppy bitch class. I did not record a critique for this bitch as I believed I was do first place only however I was pleased with the breed overall and don’t recall any concerns.
