CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW 14 APRIL 2024

I was honoured to be invited to judge this breed club show and would like to thank the Officers and Committee and my two very able Stewards for their help and first class hospitality. I had a lovely entry of excellent quality dogs and sporting exhibitors and I thoroughly enjoyed my day.

My principle winners were Dog CC and Best in Show Allcorn and Ingram’s Sh Ch Gunalt Hendricks, Bitch CC and Reserve BIS/BOS Crowther’s Hundwith Step In Time. Best Puppy in Show Evans and Pavey’s Rivertone Inevitable at Joneva, Best Veteran Evans and Pavey’s Sh Ch Gunalt Undeniable at Joneva, Best Longcoat in Show Richardson’s Cheyenn Makeeta, Best Special Beginner Wither’s Sunshine of your Love

PD (7) 1st Hill’s Weipowa Double O’Seven JW. Excellent head and eye, lovely outline, well developed body, good depth and width of chest. Well constructed throughout. Good front, bone and feet, strong well ribbed back in body, strong well angulated and muscled hindquarters, moved soundly with good reach and drive and very good carriage. 2nd. Longbottom’s Gunalt Beehive. A very good head and pleasing outline, well balanced construction throughout, good front assembly with good depth and width of chest. Good bone and feet. Strong well angulated hindquarters. Sound mover. 3rd. Carpenter’s Aschfahl Kepanye.

JD (2) 1st Charlish’s Gunalt The Hangover JW. Good head and eye, a strong topline giving a very good outline. Very good front, bone and feet. Well constructed with good body properties and strong well angulated hindquarters. Sound free mover with good carriage, reach and rive. 2nd Thwaites, Woodward and Thwaites Sireva Rambler. Good head and eye, very good forehand and shoulder placement. Lovely outline, strong loin, strong well muscled hindquarters. Not the width of chest or feet of the winner. A sound active mover.

YD (4) 1st Hesford Campbell and Timmins Pipwell Hey Jude. Good head and eye, very pleasing outline, well constructed with good front, bone and feet. Good depth and width of chest, strong well developed body, strong loin and well angulated hindquarters. Moved soundly and showed well. 2nd Robson’s Kalimor Washington at Robricci. Good head and eye, well knit together in body, strong topline and good tailset. Strong short loin and well angulated hindquarters. Sound mover. 3rd Withers’ Aladdin’s Genie.

MD (1) 1st Sayer and Wallworks’ Braefell Blackthorn.

ND (4) Reilly’s Smilek There’s A Kind of Hush. Masculine head with a good eye. Upstanding with a strong topline, good body properties, good depth of chest, strong loin, strong well angulated hindquarters, sound mover. 2nd Withers’ Aladdin’s Genie. Pleasing head, well balanced and constructed, pleasing outline, needs more body development, well angulated hindquarters, moved soundly. 3rd Braefell Blackthorn.

GD (7) Smilek There’s a Kind of Hush. 2nd Jennings’ Wallaroo Romeo JW. Very good head and eye, pleasing outline, very good body properties, good front, bone and feet. Could have a little more width of chest, well let down in brisket, Well angulated hindquarters, moved soundly. 3rd Kalimor Washington at Robricci.

PGD (2) 1st Kalimor Washington at Robricci. 2nd Willetts’ Prodigy of Jacob. Three years old, from a smaller mould, good colour and outgoing temperament. Sound, confident mover. Well constructed body, would like more of him.

LD (12) Isherwood’s Gunalt Schweppes at Caleydene JW. A very pleasing head and eye well balanced and constructed with a very good outline. Well let down in brisket. Very good body properties, well ribbed back, strong, short loin and well angulated hindquarters. Moved soundly, very accurate front and rear. 2nd Bennett’s Ansona Sprinter. Masculine head and very pleasing eye, strong, well constructed body, good outline, strong loin and well muscled and angulated hindquarters. Sound, free mover. 3rd Gatt’s Sireva Thomas Newburgh.

OD (10) Alcorn and Ingram’s Sh Ch Gunalt Hendricks. This dog is absolutely at his best. Upstanding with an excellent head and eye. Lovely forehand with clean flow over his shoulders into a strong topline and good tailset. Well constructed with an excellent front, bone and feet. Very good body properties and ribbed well back into a strong short coupled loin. Powerful well muscled and angulated hindquarters completed the picture. Super mover and a great showman. He commanded the ring to win the DCC and later Best of Breed and Best in Show. 2nd Simpson’s Ch Sireva Emeyfive JW SGWC. Another top class dog with super breed type. Excellent head and eye, very well constructed throughout. Strong body in hard muscular condition. Strong short coupled loin and well angulated hindquarters. Well let down in hock, a very sound and positive mover. 3rd Mutlow’s Braefell Goshawk JW.

VD (1) 1st Evans and Pavey’ Sh Ch Gunalt Udeniable at Joneva JW. Seven years of age, a handsome dog with an excellent head and eye. Upstanding with a lovely outline. Strong topline and good tailset. Super forehand, excellent depth and width of chest, well balanced throughout with good body and substance. Strong loin and strong well muscled hindquarters. A sound positive mover with good carriage and deportment. Like fine wine this dog is even better with age.

Special Longhaired dog (3) 1st Richardson’s Cheyenn Makeeta. This dog was my reserve in the limit dog class. A 6 year old, upstanding with an excellent head and eye, well constructed throughout. Very good body properties, pleasing outline, good front, bone and feet. Strong loin and strong well muscled and angulated hindquarters. Good coat. This dog has real Weimaraner breed type with a long coat, moved soundly with good carriage. Best Longhair in Show. 2nd Perez’s Sh Ch Gunalt By Ek at Soncaro. 10 years, a pleasing head and eye, well constructed with good forehand, strong loin, moderate hind angulation, sound and steady mover. 3rd Brierly and Needhams Grausturm Hairy Potter JWW18 (imp Aus).

MPB(9) 1st Dyer and Oddie’s Sharnphilly Annie Mac, very feminine, lovely head and eye, very pleasing outline with strong topline and good tailset. Very good front, with good depth and width of chest. Good body properties for her age. Well angulated hindquarters, a very well balanced puppy and a sound confident mover. 2nd Grimes’ Ansona Calamity Jane. Upstanding with good height and reach. Lovely head and eye Very pleasing outline. Strong topline and good tailset, excellent body properties, well balanced throughout, strong, well angulated hindquarters, moved soundly. 3rd Crowther’s Hundwith Express Yourself.

PB (12) A lovely class. 1st Evans and Pavey’s Riverstone Inevitable at Joneva. Very well balanced with a lovely head and eye, super outline, well developed body and excellent construction throughout. Strong loin, well angulated and muscled hindquarters, stylish mover with very positive action front and rear and lovely tail action. Best Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Show. 2nd Simpson’s Sireva Emseesee. Upstanding, very well constructed and balanced with a lovely head and eye. Super outline with a very good topline and tailset. Excellent body properties, strong loin and strong, well angulated hindquarters, moved soundly

JB (2) 1st McLoughlin and Townsend’s Kalimor Tailor. Very feminine, pleasing head and eye, well constructed with a good outline. Very good body properties, strong loin, well angulated hindquarters, good topline and tailset. Moved well. 2nd Hostler’s Theondale Margot. Lovely head and eye, very pleasing outline, good bone and feet Could have more width in front, a little longer cast than the winner Strong well angulated hindquarters, moved well.

YB (4) 1st Hill’s Weipowa Ida JW. Beautiful head and eye, lovely outline, excellent balance and construction. Super front, bone and feet. Good depth and width of chest, very good body properties and strong hindquarters. Lovely breed type. Moved and showed very well. 2nd Longbottom’s Curtain Call JW. Stronger in head than the winner, very well constructed, excellent front, bone and feet. Strong loin and strong well angulated hindquarters. Moved and showed very well. 3rd. Murray’s Silberstern Rumour Has It Around Rachmor.

MB (2) 1st Sayer and Wallworks Braefell Briar. 6 ½ months was my reserve in the strong minor puppy class. Sweet head, well balanced and constructed, good bone and body development and well angulated hindquarters. Very pleasing outline, moved well.

NB (5) 1st Braefell Briar, 2nd Balmer’s Trapaleba Dior. Very pleasing head, well constructed, good bone and feet, goody body properties, strong well angulated hindquarters, good topline and tailset, moved soundly. 3rd Wither’s Sunshine of My Love.

GB (3) 1st Theondale Margot. 2nd Cain’s Schonhund Show Mia Star at Lustamusk JW. Good head and eye, a pleasing outline and good body properties. A little slack in pasterns today Well angulated hindquarters, sound movement.

PGB (7) Dobbs’ Kalimor Summa Love JW. Very pleasing head, well constructed, good front, bone and feet, good body properties, strong loin and strong well angulated hindquarters. Sound mover. 2nd Radford’s Shonhund Show Faith. Also a very pleasing head and eye, well constructed, would like a little more width of chest, strong topline and good tailset, strong well angulate hindquarters, moved soundly. 3rd Rowbury’s Stormdancer Flashpoint.

LB (8) Crowther’s Hundwith Step in Thyme. A beautiful head and eye, lovely outline, excellent construction throughout. Super front, bone and feet, well let down in chest, well knit together in body Strong loin and strong well muscled ad angulated hindquarters. Very sound mover with powerful reach, drive and deportment. I admired her overall balance and lovely breed type. Bitch CC and Reserve Best in Show. 2nd Pilatova’s Sabsky Svratka JW. A very pleasing head and eye, lovely outline, strong topline and good tailset. Well balanced throughout. Very good body properties, strong loin and strong well muscled hindquarters. A sound animated mover. 3rd Schonhund Show Tallulah at Lustamusk.

OB (11) 1st Allison’s Sh Ch Sireva Surfer to Silberstern. Lovely head and eye, beautiful outline, strong topline and good tailset. Excellent construction and body properties. Strong loin and hindquarters, lovely overall balance and type. She put all in on the move. Reserve CC. 2nd West’s Sh Ch Gunalt Wavelength JW. Very feminine head with a pleasing eye. Very good forehand and good body properties Very sound mover. 3rd Greyspirit Hopes n Dreams JW ShCEx.

VB (3) 1st Maclaine and Dickson’ Greyspirit Purdue JW Sh CM Sh CEx. 8 years lovely head and good eye, well constructed throughout, very good front, bone and feet, excellent body properties, strong loin and well muscled hindquarters with good angulation. A sound positive mover with good reach and drive. 2nd Dobb’s Oakswarren Ice Maiden. Very elegant with a lovely head, very pleasing outline, well ribbed back, strong loin and well angulated hindquarters. Moved well. 3rd Tatze Silver Solstice.

Special Longhaired Bitch (4) 1st Anderson’s Tatze Betwitched by Thrihyrne. 8 years old, very good outline, good forehand with good shoulder placement. Strong topline and good tailset. Good front, bone ad feet. Strong loin, moved well. 2nd Brierley’s Tatze Silver Solstice. Very feminine, pleasing head and eye, good front assembly, upstanding with a good outline, moved soundly. 3rd Reakes’ Thrihyrne Love Letters.

SPB (2) 1st Crpenter’s Aschfahl Jagerin. Lovely head and eye, excellent body properties, strong muscular body, super front, bone and feet, very pleasing outline, strong muscular hindquarters, moved soundly with good carriage.
