Many Thanks to the Dane exhibitors for a lovely entry and a very nice atmosphere at ringside. I would have to express my concerns about movement which I found overall to be disappointing, even allowing for the surface they had to move on today. There were some dogs a little unsettled today in the indoor venue, I hope it is no more than that as temperament is so important in a giant breed like this.
Veteran Dog (2,1)
1. Burton’s, Ch Ravendane Deal Me In with Elbarevol, 8 years old Mantle, medium size boy with a very nice outline. A pleasing head of good strength, eye could be a little cleaner. Lovely reach of neck, good chest, excellent bone and super feet. Well presented and handled, could be a little more positive in the rear moving away. Best Veteran in Breed.
Minor Puppy Dog (2,1)
1. Pendleton-Watkins’, Goldania’s Prince Eragon, 6 months fawn who is of pleasing type. He is a good size and shape for this age, balanced head with a nice dark eye, ears appear big at this time and could be set a shade higher. He has lovely flow from his neck into an excellent topline. Good bone and feet and he has very nice temperament, he just needs to find his balance on the move.
Puppy Dog (2,1)
1. McGuinness & Nelson-McGuinness’, Dinahtron The Omen, 11 months fawn very nicely presented and handled. He has a pleasing head, with a nice eye, ears of good size well carried. Excellent reach of neck, good topline and croup. He has good bone and feet, a little upright in pastern. He has plenty of developing to do, handler just needs to be careful to bring his front back in under him. He moves freely, just still a little loose in front coming towards. Best Puppy in Breed.

Post Graduate Dog (4,1)
1. Donnelly’s, Primus Roll The Dice, 2 years old fawn, very pleasing type, he presents a nice picture in stance. Balanced masculine head with a nice eye and ears well carried. Lovely reach of neck, though topline could be a little firmer. He has good bone and feet, angulations are balanced. Sadly he disappointed today on the move, weak in the rear and needs find more balance in his side gait.
2. Pendleton-Watkins’, Goldania’s King of Drago, 19 months brindle, he has a very pleasing head, ears well carried. Good flow from the neck into an ok topline. Would like a little more strength to his second thigh. Excellent bone and feet, he moved freely, but rather weak on the left pastern coming towards.
3. Hitcham’s, Belarosedane Satchmo Bowe at Chamith.
Limit Dog (6,1)
1. McGuinness & Nelson-McGuinness’, Dinahtron Mothers Pride, 3 years fawn of very pleasing type, who presented a lovely outline. He has a balanced head of good strength, a shade lippy, nice eye, ears of good size well carried. Lovely flow from the neck into a very good topline and excellent croup. His angulations are balanced front and rear, he has an excellent depth of chest and good spring of rib. He has good bone, unfortunately he is weak in the pastern which is a pet hate of mine. He moved freely and has excellent attitude and was very nicely presented.
2. Palmer’s, Adoreadane Charlton, 18 months Harlequin of medium size, very nicely presented and handled. He has very pleasing head parallels, lovely flow from the neck into an excellent topline and croup. Good chest, excellent bone and feet, angulations are balanced. He is nicely marked except for the shoulder marking which works the eye. He has a really nicely balanced side gait.
3. Lipman & Booth’s, Rimor Aurelius.
Open Dog (6,1)
1. Cranfield’s, Ch Zefathers Ralph Lauren, almost 3 years old, a very eye catching fawn male with a lovely balanced outline and he has a certain presence to him. He has excellent substance and a good chest, with an excellent spring of rib. Masculine head with a good mask, he has a super flow from the neck into an excellent topline and croup. Good bone and feet, angulations are good front and rear, every time I looked at him he was correct and balanced. I thought he was excellent coming and going on the move, not quite as good in side gait in the BOB Challenge which cost him the top spot. But delighted to award him the Dog CC.
2. Chappell’s, Ch Selmalda Jealous Guy, 4 years old brindle, very impressive male who has won under me previously. Super type with an excellent masculine head, lovely reach of neck, excellent topline and great substance. Angulations are balanced front and rear, excellent bone and good feet. Really well presented and handled, just found him a little sluggish on the move today, but pleased to award him the Reserve Dog CC.

Presents a nice outline with a feminine head, good eye and excellent chiselling. Good bone and feet, balanced angulation, holds topline nicely on the move, she did get a little tired as the day went on, but just a baby, hope she has a great future. Best Puppy Female.
2. Pendelton-Watkins’, Goldania’s Princess Eimear, 6 months fawn, good strength to her head, appears a little lippy at this time. Good head plains, nice neck and topline. Good substance, very good bone and feet. She is very good coming and going on the move, just topline is a little soft in the side gait at this time.

She has a strong head with a very nice eye, good reach of neck flowing to an excellent topline and good croup. Angulations are balanced, she has good bone and feet. I would have liked to see her move with a little more balance.

1. Lawson’s, Murrayvhayle Missbehave at Droolakiss, 2 years old fawn with a lovely balanced outline. Super headpiece, with a nice eye and ears well carried. Good reach of neck to an excellent topline and croup. This girl has excellent substance, a good spring of rib and is well angulated front and rear. Pleased to award her the Bitch CC & BOB, I hope her crowning 3rd CC will not be too far away.
2. Worsley’s, Primus Encore Avec Malpas, almost 3 years old, this fawn is a beautiful girl in stance and outline. She has a beautifully balanced feminine head with a nice eye and expression. Lovely flow of neck onto a balanced topline. She has good bone and feet and angulations are good front and rear. Unfortunately she breaks in front on the move, which cost her any higher awards.
3. Baker’s, Taradanes Shining Star over Preveli.
Open Bitch (11,4)

She has a beautiful feminine head, lovely flow from the neck into an excellent topline, just a touch long in the loin.
