Spanish Water Dog
PD (1) 1 Darwesh’s Chanderhill Smart Edition for Elizad, brown & white youngster of only 7 months, moved just as a baby should but he has such potential, he is balanced with a good head & expression, lovely coat just right for his age, correct length of neck with a good topline & well set tail held on the move, showed well & a good type. BP; JD (0) PGD (2,1a) 1 Capille’s Zorrazo Everybody Gonna Talk at Lendever, brown & white masculine dog of good proportions, he is well coated with an excellent head & expression, good eye of the correct shape & colour with well set & carried ears, good neck of the correct length leading into a good topline & tailset held both set up & moving, correct bone & moved well looking particularly good in profile. LD (4,2) 1 Searles’ Cravessa's Bottoms Up JW, brown & white fully coated, masculine dog who is still young but shows so much type & potential. Masculine head & expression with a good eye of a good colour matching his coat & well set ears of the correct size & shape leading into a good neck of the correct length, held a strong topline set up & moving but where he excells is in his profile movement using his correct forequarters & well muscled hindquarters to advance to cover the ground comfortably & correctly. He is balanced & an excellent type with good bone & feet & a good length of ribcage & a strong loin. RCC; 2 Capille’s Zorrazo Kind Regards at Lendever, brown & white masculine dog who has been correctly clipped & hence hiding nothing, masculine head giving a good expression from correctly shaped & placed eyes, well set & carried ears, good neck, not too long with a strong topline & good length of ribcage, strong loin & well muscled hindquarters, stands slightly wide in front but this is rectified in movement, particularly correct on profile movement with good head carriage. OD (3,1) 1 Preece & Cooper’s Janamorio Northern Arlo, I must admit that I have not been following the breed recently, so was more than surprised to meet this cracking dog who is so rustic & well made, he is a typical Spanish like I preferred early in their introduction into the UK. He is quality & in excellent condition, excellent head & expression which is well balanced with a good eye & well set ears, correct neck & strong topline & well set tail, well muscled hindquarters with a correct length of ribcage & strong loin, it is when he moves that he comes alive using his correct forequarters & hindquarters to correct the ground with ease & purpose. He reminds me so much of the early dogs that really caught my eye in the early 2000s. Thank you for bringing him, for I had great pleasure in giving him the CC & BOB; 2 Hodgkinson-Rutherford & Rutherford’s Sh Ch/Hr Ch Zorrazo Hey There Yogi Bear, white & brown with lovely coat of the correct texture & presentation, he is typical & quality but today I just preferred the balance & overall type of 1. Well proportioned head with a good eye & well set ears, correct neck leading into a strong topline held on the move & set up, well muscled all through with good legs & feet, excellent profile movement & correct depth of ribcage leading to a good loin.B (2,1) 1 C Smart Edition for E.Well deserved Best Beginners, good luck in the group. V (2) 1 Walker’s Sh Ch Valentisimo's Tizi, no wonder I couldn’t get passed her for she had won Best Bitch under me back in 2016, the last time I was able to judge the breed, as this appointment here should have been 2021, but on re-reading what I wrote then, it still applies, she is marvellous for her age & at nearly 10 years old, I just knew she would win her crown. Then I said “quality brown girl who is still young, she moved like a dream, she is a lovely type & was sympathetically handled to get the best out of her, excellent coat & condition, feminine head & expression with good pigmentation, correct neck & shoulders, excellent topline & hindquarters, correct ribcage & strong loin, loved her body proportions & showmanship” ll that could be added is that she holds her age well & is a credit to the owners & the breed. Thank you for letting me see her again. BV; 2 Brewster’s Blackyboric, very masculine dog, there is no mistaking his sex for he stands proud & at nearly 10 he belies his age. Again excellent presentation & he is balanced & in profile moved well covering the ground well with good head carriage & holding a strong topline. PB (1,1) JB (2,1) 1 Capille’s Lendever's All Bets Are Off, a black & white feminine bitch who was put down in good hard condition, showed a war wound from working the day before but this only showed me the potential of the breed has come to fruition, moved so well on well boned legs & feet, she is very typical & in a clipped coat at present but again this only goes to show true construction, she is balanced & a good size, lovely type who is so feminine, there would be no mistaking her sex. Could win in any company. PGB (1) 1 Capille’s Lendever's Above and Beyond, litter sister to previous winner, this black girl is still young but with potential, she has a full tail & in her excitement tends to carry over the back in movement but I bet when she works, this is not a distraction! A good type & size, she has a good coat of the correct texture & curl, she has good body proportions & moved well using her well muscled hindquarters to move effortlessly. Feminine head & expression, correct neck & topline, a typical bitch with much to admire, a pleasure to judge, LB (3) 1 Searles’ Rommy De Ubbadat, brown feminine bitch in clipped coat at present, she is balanced & when she settled she moved so well & correctly, feminine head of good proportions with a good eye of a lovely colour & shape, correctly set & carried ears, excellent forequarters, strong topline & tailset, lovely ribcage of a good length leading to a strong loin, she is well muscled, she is very feminine but a difficult bitch to show, her handler did well to curb her enthusiasm & get the very best out of her, she is typical & quality, must go to the top before too long. RCC; 2 Page & Robinson’s Zorrazo Xquisite Croatian Perl at Deltoroesta, very typical feminine bitch from the top drawer too, has so much to like, she is a good size & well balanced, in full coat of the correct texture, lovely head & expression with a good neck & shoulders, good ribcage leading to a strong loin & excellent hindquarters, moved well on well boned legs & feet, close up to 1; 3 Thompson’s Kurlibears September Truffle at Cooishka. OB (1) 1 Thompson’s Sh Ch Prizelands Fondant Fancy at Cooishka JW, this black & white bitch is everything I wanted from the breed in a bitch today, she is balanced & an excellent type from her feminine head with expressive eyes & well set ears through to her correct neck & forequarters, strong topline & tailset, good depth & length of ribcage with a strong loin & well muscled hindquarters, but it is when she moves that she really comes alive using her well muscled body, forequarters & hindquarters to advantage with the correct head carriage in profile & covering the ground with ease & purpose, alone but could win in any company but in the challenge she really had to show her worth to beat the beautiful veteran who I have admired before & the youngster from Limit who also fought hard too.
