PD (0) JD (2) 1 Thomas & Playle’s Riptide Gentlemens Relish, masculine outlook on this youngster who moved & showed well, head OK but doesn’t need any more width to complete the picture, he has a good expression from correctly placed & coloured eyes, good skull & ear set ok too, excellent neck & shoulders, put down in a good coat & condition, he is well muscled & balanced lovely bone & feet, a very typical dog of an excellent type & quality. RCC; 2 Mahon-Hunns & Middleton’s Susqudilla Bergelle Big Apple (Imp USA) JW, younger, darker male who is still within the correct Standard for colour & coat texture, has a masculine outlook from a masculine head with a lovely expression. He needs time to sort out his movement as he was quite unsettled on the day & also needs to strengthen in topline, but a very typical youngster who should be of interest in the future. PGD (0) LD (3) 1 Royle’s Battsrock Are You Ready, the most typical Chessie in the class with the balance & type I was looking for, in movement he insisted on carrying his tail too high but he has a lovely masculine head & expression with a good neck & shoulders, good width & depth of ribcage, correct topline & correct hindquarters, when he settled he moved better & he is in good coat; 2 Murray’s Muireatai Teris Love, in good coat & sired by the DCC & carries some of his qualities. Would prefer more balance in his head which I found a bit to wide for my taste but he has a good eye & a well set & carried ear, another who would not settle on the move & again carrying his tail too high for perfection, tended to pace & I tried to give him plenty of opportunity to get it right for he is in good coat which was well presented & in lovely muscular condition; 3 Point’s Oakmarsh Haunting Howl. OD (6,1) 1 Mahon-Hunns, Hunns & Newton’s Sh Ch Arnac Bay Huron at Bergelle JW, was it really 3 years ago that I gave this dog the RCC at Crufts from Junior. My how he has matured into an excellent example of the breed, he is quality with a balanced masculine head & expression, he was the best mover in the males today & is so well coated with an excellent topline & tailset, no mistaking his sex for he is balanced & when he moves round the ring he just owns it with his effortless drive & determination, no hesitation in giving him the DCC; 2 Broomfield’s Glaneils Count On Me, good headed, masculine dog with a good expression from well placed & coloured eyes, enough coat of the correct texture, he is balanced with good bone & feet used to carry him round the ring to win his place in this good class, showed well with his good neck & shoulders & correct topline, well muscled hindquarters & a good type; 3 Boyles’ Pixiesrock Mr Tumnus by Bleyos JW. GCD (1) 1 B Are You Ready. SBD (0)VD/B (6,1) 1 Pont’s Sh Ch Oakmarsh Dancing Diva VW, feminine bitch with the correct balanced for sex & age, this 8 year old belies her age for she is so fit & in hard muscular condition, has so many plus points starting at her head which is feminine & balanced with a kind eye, excellent ear carriage, neck & shoulder placement, good topline & correct rise over the hindquarters with a well set & carried tail, in lovely coat & condition, when she settled she moved well & lowered her tail to the correct position, she is quality & one who has improved with age. RCC & BV; 2 Thompson’s Arnac Bay Gamble, another bitch with a feminine head & expression, no mistaking her sex, she is well coated & well made all through from her correct neck & shoulders, forechest, ribcage & loin, giving her the correct topline which she held on the move, perhaps a touch off her weight for perfection for she is quality; 3 Mayhew’s Sh Ch Arnac Bay Flax. PB (1,1) JB (5,1) 1 Watts’ Oakmarsh Little Acorn her win today gave her her JW, well done, she was in good coat which was well presented, moved well but needs to finish for she is just a year old & needs to mature & tighten up all through but won on her type & condition, feminine head & expression with a good neck & shoulders, well boned legs & feet, & when she moved she gave a good account of her herself; 2 Blaber’s Oakmarsh Laurel, litter sister to 1 & similar comments apply, so is not just as forward as 1 but she moved OK & showed promise for the future, in good coat & condition with a well set & carried tail, pretty head & expression; 3 Hewitson’s Melseed Dont Stop Believing. PGB (5,2) 1 Madden’s Arnac Bay Hawthorn, at 6 years of age, she doesn’t look it, she was in lovely coat & condition, showed so well to win here with her good topline & tailset, she moved well on well boned legs & feet, feminine head & expression, good neck & shoulders, she is balanced & a good type; 2 Baxandall’s Battsrock So Fine, only recently with her new owner but she is starting to bond well with her, she has a pretty head & expression with a good width between her ears, correct neck & shoulders, put down in excellent coat & condition, well set hindquarters & correct tailset, I wish you luck with her; 2 O Little Acorn. LB (3) 1 Morris’ Baymoss Tweed of Penrose, how lovely to see this exhibitor back in the ring with a bitch of such quality, she is balanced & so very feminine & an excellent type, she moved well on well boned legs & feet & was put down in hard muscular condition, she has a a beautiful head & expression with the best of forequarters & an excellent topline, hindquarters OK but she has so much going for her I look forward to watching her progress; 2 Broomfield & Mahon-Hunns’ Glaneils Don't Worry Be Happy, not quite the balance of 1 but still a good type, sire by my DCC & his quality is there for all to see. Would prefer a better lay of shoulder but she moved well & covered the ground with ease & determination, in excellent coat & condition, so very feminine in outlook, showed well; 3 Broomfield & Mahon-Hunns’ Glaneils Daydream Believer. OB (3) 1 Watts’ Oakmarsh Freedom Sgwc, so very feminine, not an over large bitch & in hard muscular condition, she just shone today with such a sympathetic handler who really got the best out of her. Excellent head & expression with a kind eye & well set & carried ears, in good coat & condition, excellent hindquarters, topline & tailset, good ribcage & strong loin, obviously she is worked as it shows in her condition. When she moves, she covers the ground with ease & purpose. Could not deny her the CC & BOB, she is feminine & from the top drawer, today she became a full champion I was told, well done to be fit for function as all gundogs should be; 2 Thompson’s Sh Ch Arnac Bay Harvest, litter sister to Huron & the same quality, so very close up to 1 & so very feminine too. Just needs coat to finish as, like a lot today, she is moulting. Pretty head & expression, well made all through with an excellent topline & tailset, moved so soundly on well boned legs & feet, showed well, she is a lovely type; 3 Murray’s Muireatal Miracle Of Dreams. GCB (1) 1 Watts & Mellersh-Tett’s Oakmarsh Land Of Promise, daughter of the CC & BOB winner, as were 1 & 2 in JB! Needs coat & to mature up to finish the picture, at present her movement needs tightening up but hopefully she will come on to finish the picture. She has a feminine head & expression & has the potential as she is balanced & a good type. SBB (2) 1 O Laurel.BSB; 2 Hewitson’s Melseed Dont Stop Believing, this youngster is going through a difficult stage, if she can get to ringcraft & sort out her barking, I am sure he will have lots of fun in the ring & hopefully working. She has potential for she has a nice head & expression, when she settled she moved well & is balanced, just needs coat to complete the picture but please keep trying for she is worth it.PAM BLAY
