BASENJI

V (4.1a) 1 Gray’s Ch Jisgard Daydream Believer, how lucky to have three excellent champions in my first class. This bitch is so very feminine & balanced with the correct length of leg which carries an excellent well made body with a good front & excellent ribcage & a definite waist, good topline held set up & moving with a good neck & shoulders, well set & carried tail with a good shelf. Well set & carried ears on a pretty head, certainly doesn’t look her age & was delighted to be able to make her best veteran, she definitely is an excellent example of the breed; 2 Clinton’s Ch/Ir/lux/int Ch Westlawn Diablo ShCM, no disgrace to come second to one as he was very close up, just preferred the settled movement of 1 on the day, the heat certainly made the dogs enjoy the run around the ring! Masculine head & expression, very typical in neck & shoulders, good ears well set & carried with a lovely eye of the correct shape & colour, good hindquarters & a good well placed tail with a good curl. Put down in excellent coat & condition, again doesn’t look his 9 years, he carries his age well; 3 Knowles’ Ch Tokaji Klassic Trickster at Sarawana. PD (0) JD (1) 1 Vescan’s Mawali New Kid On The Block, an interesting junior who at present is still unco-ordinated on the move, this r/w has so much potential as I see he is younger brother to the DCC, has a lovely masculine head & a good expression from correctly shaped eyes , he has the correct bone & feet, good neck, topline & well set & carried tail, liked his body proportions & although alone, I am sure will win well when he has finished. PGD (0) LD (1,1) OD (7,2) 1 Williams & Wright’s Ch Mawali Going Four Gold, r/w masculine dog who is so sound, loved his balance & movement which was copybook, excellent hindquarters with a good shelf & a tightly set & carried tail, loved his head & expression & well placed & carried ears, correct neck & shoulders, good topline held set up & moving. Good ribcage & waist & a well presented coat, it was gleaming in the sunshine. Not his normal handler apparently but the owner did a good job of really presenting the dog to win an excellent class full of quality. CC; 2 Carrington’s Ch/lux Ch Bushwacker Oceans Eleven, slightly different in type but still a lovely, balanced dog who was put down in excellent coat & condition, this tri was also an excellent mover who pushed 1 hard, using his lovely boned legs & feet to full advantage to go with his good forequarters, ribcage & waist. Littter brother to 3 who is of the same high standard. RCC; 3 Grayson & Cullen’s Bushwacker American Hustle at Embeau. B (1) 1 Taujenyte’s Cozy Dream Laukine Svaja, a nice enough bitch who still needs more practice on the move & the uneven ground did not help her. She is of a good type with a pretty head & expression, good neck & put down in excellent coat & condition, just a touch long in body which held a strong topline & a nice tailset, good bone & feet, don’t overstretch her as she a good hindquarter of the correct angulation.

PB (1) 1 Knowles’ Sarawana Dragon’s Conquest, only just 6 months old but this baby certainly made me smile, she behaved so well, really trying to please her owner (compared to her sister who appeared later!) absolutely just right for age in size & shape, excellent hindquarters, bone & feet, such a pretty head & expression, she is quality with a lovely coat, just right in ribcage for age & a waist, good topline & well set tail set on correctly with a shelf behind, moved well & enjoyed her time in the sun. BP. JB (1,1) PGB (3) 1 Cvirkiene’s Catuma Xuta Tabangwa, tri of quality who is balanced & a good mover. Slightly longer in muzzle for perfection but she has a good eye & well set & placed ears, good neck & good topline & tail ok, good forequarters, lovely bone & feet with excellent hindquarters, moved well here to win the class & to take the RCC; 2 Nicholls’ Shyllar Turning Heads, correct head proportions with well set hooded ear & a good eye of the correct shape, this r/w movedwell, she is a nice type wth a good ribcage, in good body coat which was well presented; 3 Knowles’ Sarawana Dragonfire Rising. LB (6,4) 1 Clinton’s Akmar Napatan Gold for Westlawn, feminine tri from the top drawer. The more I looked at her the more she appealed, she has balance, is a good size with lovely movement & type, excellent head & expression, she has a good eye & well set & carried ears, good neck & shoulder placement, excellent topline & tight tail well set & carried, lovely hindquarters, she really appealed & the more she moved the more she came alive. She was just what I wanted in a Basenji today & I gave her the CC & BOB; 2 Oorloff’s Shyllar Rapt in Gold, r/w who moved OK but could not compare to one for forereach. Put down in good coat & condition, lovely feminine expression with good balance to head with well placed & carried ears, good neck, bone & feet OK, showed well. OB (8,4) 1 Hardy & Hallam’s Tokaji Kiss Me Kate, smaller type of bitch but she won on her excellent movement, feminine head & expression with a correct eye & ear placement, excellent neck & strong topline, coat OK, just needed a bit more leg to be picky for balance but her quality took her to the top of the class, lovely ribcage & waist with a correct hindquarters; 2 Nash’s Ch Tokaji Moon over Miami with Mutoko JW ShCEx OSW, another by Rebel Rebel, no wonder she appealed, this tri was balanced with good bone & balance, moved well just beaten on the final runoff by 1. Excellent head & expression with a good neck & shoulders, again in excellent coat which was well presented; 3 Knowles’ Ch Bushwacker Dragon Tattoo at Sarawana JW.
