A big thank you to the officers and committee of The Rottweiler Club for the kind invention to judge at their breed championship show. The hard working committee organized a great show at a fantastic venue, and the hospitality my wife and I received was second to none. I would also like to thank all the exhibitors for the great entry I had to judge and for the sportsmanship shown throughout the day.

VETERAN DOG.

 

1ST INT/MULTI CHAMPION TEBRA WIZARD MONTENEGRO ROTT DIESTER (IMP MNE). 7½ years old medium strong male of excellent type and balance. Clean masculine head with dark eyes of correct shape with neat well placed ears. Correct bite and dentition with very good pigmentation. Calm confident expression. Excellent texture with rich well defined markings. Well constructed, with good body proportions. Firm topline with well developed underline. Strong bone with tight feet and straight front. Moved soundly for his age with very good tail carriage.

MINOR PUPPY DOG.

1ST. ROTTKINSON DARK KNIGHT. 6 months old strong puppy of very good type. Strong masculine head of correct proportions. Dark brown eyes of correct shape, with medium size well placed ears. Correct bite and dentition with mouth pigmentation being a little pink. Correct coat with rich tan markings that could be a little clearer in places. Well proportioned body good topline and underline for age. Strong bone with good feet. Super temperament. Moved soundly and appeared to be enjoying his day. I was pleased to award him best puppy in Show.

2ND. AUSRIE'S JABBA THE HUT. 8 month old strong masculine puppy of very good type and substance. Strong typical masculine head with dark eyes of correct shape and neat correctly placed ears. Correct bite and dentition with mouth pigmentation being a little pink. Correct coat with clear well defined tan markings Strong clean neck of good length. Slightly short in upper arm. Firm slightly long topline. Underline is well developed for age. Strong bone with tight feet and straight front. Moves out, and stacks up well. Very good temperament.

1ST. ROUGEAU LUIS. 13 months old medium small male of excellent type and balance. Clean masculine correctly proportioned head with broad skull and well defined stop. Dark brown eyes of correct shape with neat well placed ears. Calm confident expression. Correct bite and dentition with good pigmentation. Strong neck of good length on to well placed shoulders and compact level top line. Well developed underline for age. Very good front and rear angulation. Medium bone. Front feet are a little flat. Correct coat with rich tan markings. Moves out well with purpose and drive, being only slightly close going away.

2ND. JHAVA BLACK MAGIC OVER WHISPERDOWN. 12 months medium sized male of very good type and balance. Strong masculine head of correct proportions. Clean broad skull with neat well placed ears. Mid brown eyes of correct shape. Correct bite and dentition with dark mouth pigmentation. Correct coat with clear well defined tan markings. Strong bone with tight feet. Strong neck of good length. Compact topline with well developed underline for age. A little short in upper arm and moved with sufficient reach and drive.

Medium sized well placed ears with dark almond shaped eyes. Correct bite and dentition with good mouth pigmentation. Excellent reach of neck onto clean shoulders and short topline. Well developed underline for age. Strong bone with excellent feet and straight front. Correct coat with rich tan markings. Balanced front and rear angulation. Moves out well off sound hocks. Pasterns are a little loose on return. Topline needs to firm up a little. Correct tail carriage.

2ND. BEREYDA THE REAL DEFENDER. 23 months substantial male very good type. Strong masculine head of correct proportions. Dark brown, small slightly round eyes with neat correctly placed ears. He has a little too much loose skin on his cheeks and on the bridge of his nose. Excellent coat with clear well defined tan markings. Excellent reach of neck with onto well placed shoulders and level, slightly long topline. Well developed underline. Strong bone with tight feet and straight front. Slightly short in upper arm. Sound, free, effortless movement maintaining his outline with excellent tail carriage.

POST GRADUATE DOG.

1ST. JAQARY BLAZE OF GLORY. 

2 years old medium sized male of excellent type and balance. Typical masculine head of correct proportions. Broad clean skull with medium sized well placed ears and medium dark brown almond shaped eyes. Good length of muzzle with correct bite and dentition with excellent pigmentation. Keen alert expression. Correct coat with clear well defined tan markings. Strong clean neck of good length on to well placed shoulders and level top line. Well developed underline. Very good front and rear angulation. Strong bone with tight feet and straight front. Moved soundly and with purpose whilst maintaining his excellent outline with acceptable tail carriage. I was pleased to award him the challenge certificate and subsequently Best in Show.

2ND. NAGEEM CUKIER. 2 years old medium sized male of very good type. Typical masculine head of good proportions and alert expression. Mid brown slightly round eyes with medium large well set ears. Correct bite and dentition with good mouth pigmentation. Correct coat texture with rich slightly dark markings. Very good reach of neck with onto well placed shoulders and firm topline. Well developed underline. Good bone with tight feet and straight front. Balanced front and rear angulation. Sound powerful mover with good tail carriage.

In the challenge the handler took advantage of the large ring to settle him into his stride and I was pleaded to award him the reserve challenge certificate and Res Best in Show.

2nd. CHANTAVORY’S ONE AND ONLY. 2 years old medium strong male of very good type and balance. Strong clean masculine head of correct proportions. Medium sized well placed ears with dark almond shaped eyes. Calm confident expression. Correct bite and dentition with good pigmentation. Correct coat with rich tan markings that could be a little clearer in places. Powerful neck, of good length with a little loose skin on the throat. Very good front and rear angulation. Strong bone with slightly flat front feet. Moved soundly maintaining his outline with excellent tail carriage. Perhaps he was carrying an extra kilo or 2 on the day.

Correct coat with clear well defined tan markings. Well developed forechest with excellent length of upper arm. Strong bone with tight feet and straight front. Moderate rear angulation. Moved soundly with purpose maintaining his outline with excellent tail carriage, but just lacking rear drive.

Strong bone with straight front. Front feet a little flat on the day. Moved soundly with purpose and drive maintaining his outline with excellent tail carriage. In the challenge, however, he got distracted and lost his focus.
