Breeder: Italian Spinone

Judge: Nigel Worth

I would like to thank the officers and committee for the opportunity to judge my second set of Italian Spinone CCs. A modest entry but there was plenty of quality to choose from. I was particularly pleased with my main winners. In a few classes I am sure placings will be reversed but you have to make decisions on the day. Movement played a big part in those decidions today.

Junior Dog (4,3)

1st: Cook’s Connomar Cipirella of Roughmoor (ai). Stood alone but very worthy winner. balanced dog with good bone and feet. Correct topline .Particularly liked his head proportions, correct divergent plains and lovely expression. good neck and shoulders. Plenty of forechest and good depth to chest. Front straight and well made hindquarters with a moderate bend of stifle. Just felt today he could have been a bit more positive on the move but a lot to like and I m sure a bright furure.

Post Graduate Dog (3,2)

1st: Middleton’s Tolosa Elba. Another who stood alone but did enough to gain his first prize. Pleasing head and expression. good neck, front a little loose today. Correct topline, enough bone and balanced when stood although a little longer in loin than I would like. Could have been more settled on the move.
