Thank you to the Officers and Committee of URC for the invitation to judge this lovely, well organised show and to my stewards for keeping the ring running so smoothly. It was a large ring as usual for this show and the rain managed to hold off. Pleased to find a lot of quality emerging in the breed, especially the main winners and some very promising dogs throughout the classes too. As you know I’m in favour of a dual purpose dog and this is what I was looking for, a well made dog with natural working attributes. Thank you to those of you who understood and accepted my decisions with good grace. Lovely to see my Veteran choice awarded RBVIS by my fellow judge.

Lovely medium sized youngster with a stunning masculine outline in good coat. Truly balanced and well-muscled for his age. Handsome, clean cut head of good proportions. Kind expressive almond shape eyes of good colour. Strong neck well set on, shoulders are well laid back and forequarters show excellent angulation with chest developing well. Legs straight and strong, pasterns correct slightly sloping, good feet. A level topline, stifles well bent demonstrating good rear angulation, good tail set, all demonstrated through good movement with a strong attitude on the day. BP  

2nd - Van Eijk Tollerways Agiz Baloo  

Another handsome youngster, darker red in colour, Well balanced with a strong head of good proportions. Not quite as tall as 1 and slightly less mature with his angles and topline but definitely male. Confident overall appearance and good coat. Powerful and jaunty mover though a little less together than 1 on the move today but a true contender to watch.

Maturing boy with substance and plenty of energy, a typical inbetweener of a junior. On the larger size well-muscled and powerful. Very confident with a real glint of mischief in his correct almond shape eye. Handsome well-proportioned wedge shaped head, correct ears well set, good dentition, a well-muscled neck flowing into his shoulders which were well laid back. Forelegs straight strong and well boned set well under the shoulders, good angulation, deep chested and level topline. Well- muscled hindquarters good rear angulation typical of a developing junior, neat feet, moved out around the ring with powerful reach and drive, showed real presence.

Forelegs straight with nice feathering, good depth of chest and developing spring of rib, nice level topline with tail well set on sloping slightly from croup, hind quarters well-muscled and a good turn of stifle, tight feet, moved well on the day.

Well-muscled throughout, strong neck of a good length well set on and flowing into a good lay of shoulder. Forelegs straight and strong with strong pasterns front and rear. Good turn of stifle and strong hindquarters, a firm level topline, tail well placed sloping from the croup, held well on the move. Showed good spirit on the move with good reach and drive, eye catching. More mature than 2nd today.

Lovely head of proportions, good denture, almond shaped eye and colour blending into his coat, a kind alert expression, good size and shape of ears well set back. Strong muscular neck well set on flowing into well laid back shoulders, well-muscled throughout, straight forelegs well positioned on tight feet and of good bone, deep chested and a proportionate spring of rib, a level topline both standing and on the move, muscular loins, a good turn of stifle, well presented tight cat like feet, tail well positioned and held well on the move, moved out well with spirit. 

2nd Lam & Leung Tollisty Out to Get You JW  

Lovely confident dog presented in well-groomed coat with bags of feathering throughout. Masculine well-proportioned head with a kind correct shaped and coloured eye, good length of neck well-muscled flowing nicely into a good lay back of shoulder, good forequarters, good depth of chest and spring of rib. Straight topline good turn of stifle well-muscled throughout, nice tail set constantly in the motion, expresses himself well on the move.

Beautiful dog oozing personality and coat, plenty of substance overall well balanced and powerful. Handsome, well-proportioned head with almond shaped eyes of correct colour. Good sized well set ears, good dentition, a very strong neck of correct length well set on flowing well into his layback of shoulder. Forequarters are muscular and legs straight, well-muscled and good bone, a deep powerful chest straight topline, tail correctly set on sloping from croup and held high both standing and on the move. Hind quarters are well muscled with a good bend of stifle. This confident and determined mover with strong reach and drive stood out today, DCC & BOB. 

2nd – Strevens Tollisty You Can’t Decline  

Lovely dog with a promising future, not quite as mature as 1 and smaller in stature but it is all there to come. A good quality slightly darker in coat, lovely balanced outline, handsome head of good proportions, almond eyes of correct colour good ear size and set overall giving a kind expression, good dentition. Shoulders well laid back over straight fore legs and tight well-presented feet. Good spring of ribs a level topline both standing and on the move. Correct tail set, hind quarters are well muscled, and a good turn of stifle moved well.

Stands square on well-built front and rear quarters good angulation and tight feet, nice tail set, hind quarters are powerful, stifles well bent and stood four square a strong quality stance, moved out well on the move today with purpose RDCC.

A handsome substantial boy with a nice outline and in good coat, strong head of good proportions eyes correct, and good dentition, ears of a nice size and well set, a strong medium length neck well set on, flowing into a correct lay back of shoulders, good front angles with plenty of bone, deep chest and level topline sloping from the croup to a well set tail, rear angulation not quite that of 1, showed himself well on the move.

Looking great for his age, of good substance and well balanced throughout with excellent quality double coat. Handsome wedge shaped head and kind alert expression. Nicely shaped well set ears. Well-muscled throughout, good angles front and rear, straight forequarters stood and well-presented tight feet, level top line, and good turn of stifle, good depth of chest and well sprung ribs, he has real personally showing off on the move with good reach and drive. Up against a very strong contender this substantial handsome dog showed himself well today, lovely balanced outline, a strong well-proportioned head with a kind alert expression, sat on a strong neck well set on leading into a good lay of shoulder, forequarters straight and well boned if a little wide, deep chest and a good spring of rib, a powerful back end with a good turn of stifle, moved with attitude.

Nice young bitch with orange coat. Wedge shaped head of good proportions, correct shaped ears, well set. Good dentition. Still loose at the moment but showing promise, a good spring of rib for her age and reasonable top line. Would prefer a bit more neck but well set on, nice feet, a little unsettled at the moment both standing and on the move and needs to build her confidence.

Another nice youngster, darker red in coat. Pretty head of good proportions, with almond shaped eyes. Level topline and plenty of bone. Less mature at the moment. I am sure we will see more of this bitch as she matures, moved well.

Ears correct and good dentition, typical double coat in good condition, strong medium length neck well set on flowing into well laid back shoulders. Forequarters straight and strong with good angulation on well-presented tight feet, deep chested with a good spring of rib. Level topline tail sloping nicely of the croup well set and carried correctly, good turn of stifle on a strong back end, well-muscled, moves well driving with purpose.

Pretty head and expression of good proportions. Appeared longer in body and taller than 1 looking less mature with not quite the coat of 1 at the moment. Medium neck well set on, forequarters straight and a good layback of shoulder, tight well-presented feet going through that junior growth stage up on the legs and losing a bit of angulation in the rear, straight in top line, moved well.

Level top line and good tail set sloping correctly from the croup, nice spring of rib and depth of chest, good front and rear angles. Plenty of power, standing squarely on tight well-presented feet. Moved with purpose today good reach and drive.

Taller bitch with more maturing to do. Wedge shaped head of good proportions well placed almond shape eyes. Nice ears well set, Strong neck of good length flowing well into the shoulders, level top-line, reasonable spring of rib and depth of chest. Fore legs straight, stifle slightly straighter than I would like and rear could do with a bit more muscle, I am sure this will come, tail set is good and carried well, showed well on the move.

A darker bitch in good coat, towards the larger end, stands 4 square balanced and strong. Wedge shaped head, broad muzzle, almond eyes of correct colour ears alert and well set. Medium length neck flowing into a good layback of shoulder, straight front legs with good angulation, good spring of rib and depth of chest, level topline and good tail set off the croup. Nice turn of stifle and standing on well-presented tight feet, showed herself well on the move.

A close challenge between these two, this beautiful bitch was quite spirited on the day. Attractive feminine wedged shaped head, kind eye and well set ears. Medium length of neck, well set on. Good angulation front and rear, level topline and good tail set, another bitch standing 4 square and well-muscled, showing a balanced outline, she just needs a bit more maturity, showed herself well on the move.

Lovely girl stood square and confident. Attractive wedge shaped head good eyes and ear set. Medium length of neck well set on, good lay back of shoulder, topline, slightly higher tail set held alert in the stand, good turn of stifle. So much more to come from this pretty girl, she moved well just pipped by the attitude and maturity of 1.

A close challenge between these two, this beautiful bitch was quite spirited on the day. Attractive feminine wedged shaped head, kind eye and well set ears. Medium length of neck, well set on. Good angulation front and rear, level topline and good tail set, another bitch standing 4 square and well-muscled, showing a balanced outline, she just needs a bit more maturity, showed herself well on the move.

Thank you to the Officers and Committee of URC for the invitation to judge this lovely, well organised show and to my stewards for keeping the ring running so smoothly. It was a large ring as usual for this show and the rain managed to hold off. Pleased to find a lot of quality emerging in the breed, especially the main winners and some very promising dogs throughout the classes too. As you know I’m in favour of a dual purpose dog and this is what I was looking for, a well made dog with natural working attributes. Thank you to those of you who understood and accepted my decisions with good grace. Lovely to see my Veteran choice awarded RBVIS by my fellow judge.

Kind expressive almond shape eyes of good colour. Strong neck well set on, shoulders are well laid back and forequarters show excellent angulation with chest developing well. Legs straight and strong, pasterns correct slightly sloping, good feet. A level topline, stifles well bent demonstrating good rear angulation, good tail set, all demonstrated through good movement with a strong attitude on the day. BP

Another handsome youngster, darker red in colour, Well balanced with a strong head of good proportions. Not quite as tall as 1 and slightly less mature with his angles and topline but definitely male. Confident overall appearance and good coat. Powerful and jaunty mover though a little less together than 1 on the move today but a true contender to watch.

Thank you to the Officers and Committee of URC for the invitation to judge this lovely, well organised show and to my stewards for keeping the ring running so smoothly. It was a large ring as usual for this show and the rain managed to hold off. Pleased to find a lot of quality emerging in the breed, especially the main winners and some very promising dogs throughout the classes too. As you know I’m in favour of a dual purpose dog and this is what I was looking for, a well made dog with natural working attributes. Thank you to those of you who understood and accepted my decisions with good grace. Lovely to see my Veteran choice awarded RBVIS by my fellow judge.

Lovely medium sized youngster with a stunning masculine outline in good coat. Truly balanced and well-muscled for his age. Handsome, clean cut head of good proportions. Kind expressive almond shape eyes of good colour. Strong neck well set on, shoulders are well laid back and forequarters show excellent angulation with chest developing well. Legs straight and strong, pasterns correct slightly sloping, good feet. A level topline, stifles well bent demonstrating good rear angulation, good tail set, all demonstrated through good movement with a strong attitude on the day. BP

Another handsome youngster, darker red in colour, Well balanced with a strong head of good proportions. Not quite as tall as 1 and slightly less mature with his angles and topline but definitely male. Confident overall appearance and good coat. Powerful and jaunty mover though a little less together than 1 on the move today but a true contender to watch.
