I would like to thank the officers and committee for their invitation to judge this well organised and friendly show and to my stewards Andrea and Barbara who kept the ring running smoothly throughout the day. Thanks also to all the exhibitors who brought their dogs under me and the good sportsmanship shown in accepting my placings. Traditionally the quality of the breed has always been high in Scotland and I was delighted with the winners of the major awards. Temperament of the exhibits was excellent and there were less round eyes than when I last judged.

1ST 19 - Ronevorg Highland Whisper of Siancala (Mrs A Harris) A happy 5 mth old young man with pleasing head and dark eyes. Good length of neck and deep chest with level topline and well-set tail. Moved OK.

1ST 23 - Secret Blue Dress Baseta at Gemswin (Imp Lt) (Mrs S, Mrs G & Mr M Knight & Jacobs). Well grown and balanced young lady of 5 mths with pretty head and dark eye. Good reach of neck into soundly made front, with level topline and nicely set tail. Movement in keeping with her age. (BBP)

 2ND 56 - Jetstarski Run Like Hell (Mr N, Mrs R & Ms S Whitaker). 5 mth old who presents a lovely outline standing. Feminine head with dark eye and good length of neck into soundly made front of correct depth and matching rear angles. Not as mature as 1.

1ST 9 - Rotherfield Made to Last at Steelriver (Mrs W Blain). Well-grown 7 mth old dog who had difficulty keeping four feet on the ground. Masculine head with dark eyes and nicely set ears. Strong neck into well-made front of the correct depth. Balanced with rear angles matching the front. Quality bone and an ever-wagging tail, I really liked him.

 2ND 22 - Gemswin Innocent Man (Mrs S, Mrs G & Mr M Knight & Jacobs). 8 mth old with nicely moulded head and well-set neat ears. Soundly made front and lovely depth of body with level topline and plenty of animation. I preferred the rear angles of 1 and more fluid movement.

 3RD 20 - Islstrom Glen Mori (Mrs S M Hart). 7 mths old he has a lovely outline standing but is very raw at the moment. Finer all through but soundly made with lovely head shape and dark eye. Moved OK, he just needs time as you would expect at this age.

 2ND 22 - Gemswin Innocent Man (Mrs S, Mrs G & Mr M Knight & Jacobs)

 3RD 45 - Steelriver Isle View Raven (Mrs C Stott) 11 mths old with masculine head and dark eye, strong neck and well put together with sufficient bone. He was unfortunately a bit overawed by some barking close to the ring.

1ST 16 - Hightyne Night Train (Miss M Hall) 15 mths old with handsome head and dark eye. Long neck into well-made front, prominent fore chest, good depth of body, short loin and well let down hocks. He is balanced with plenty of coat and moved freely holding his topline.

 2ND 52 - Levliann Big Bang (Mrs L Varty-Lindsay) 17mth old dog with lovely head, dark eyes and well-set ears. Good length of neck and beautifully put together with short loin and hocks. He has a thick functional quality jacket and was handled to advantage to cover the ground well but lacked the furnishings of 1.

1ST 2 - Rotherfield Secret Code (Mrs R & Mr J Anson & Mcmanus) 21 mths old dog who is both well-made and sound moving. Masculine head with correctly shaped dark eyes, strong neck into soundly constructed front of good depth. Level topline held standing and on the move, with quality bone, tight feet and in his best jacket. Well handled to advantage. RCC.

 2ND 58 - Kvicksans The Master Piper at Bluewaters (Imp Swe) JW (Mrs J Wild) Also 21 mths but of a different type to 1 with nicely moulded head and eye of the correct shape and colour. Good reach of neck and pleasing angles fore and aft, he was beautifully presented and sympathetically handled to move drive.

3RD 18 - Dymexe Outlander at Siancala (Mrs A Harris). 23 mth old dog with a masculine head, I would prefer a slightly tighter eye. Well put together and in full coat, he sadly didn’t have his mind on the job in hand today.

1ST 57 - Bitcon Alliance with Bluewaters (ai) JW (Mrs J Wild) 2 yr old who appeals for his head and balanced outline. Long neck into well laid shoulders, body of good depth and nice turn of stifle. Well handled, his tail never stopped wagging and he is in fine fettle and hard condition.

1ST 17 - Rotherfield Just The Ticket (Miss M Hall) 6 yr old dog with pleasing head, correctly shaped dark eyes and well set small neat ears. Balanced with matching front and rear angles, level topline and short square coupling. He has the required raciness, was in good coat and covered the ground with ease on tight feet.

2ND 3 - Bitcon Jackpot (Mrs K Armstrong) 2 year old who presents a balanced outline stacked. Appealing head and kind expression. Long neck, of an ideal size and soundly made with sufficient bone he was expertly handled and in decent coat and condition but could not match the movement of 1.

 3RD 28 - Rachanmill Columbo (Mrs H Macpherson) 5 year old handsome headed dog in his best jacket. Sound moving and well put together with short hocks, he doesn’t always hold his topline.

1ST 21 - Gemswin Erase and Rewind (Mrs S, Mrs G & Mr M Knight & Jacobs) 5 year old dog with very masculine head, dark eyes and well-set ears. Great front assembly with good depth of body and strong loin. He has a good turn of stifle, short hocks, sound profile movement and never stops wagging his tail.

Body of good depth with level topline and strong loin. He is up to size but excels in type, has quality bone and feet, was in good coat and moves with reach and drive covering the ground with ease.  2ND 31 - Steelriver Sun's Up (Mr S Mccormick) Upstanding 9 year old dog. Typical in head with dark eyes and strong neck into balanced body of correct depth. Well-muscled with neat feet and in good coat and hard condition. Moved OK.

1ST 11 - Sh Ch Finhamspride Kovu among Rodsdream (Miss J Flynn). A worthy champion and beautifully presented with appealing head with dark eyes, long neck and balanced with good depth of chest and strong loin. He was in good coat, is full of quality and was handled to cover the ground well.

 2ND 6 - Sh Ch Bochilbarley Goblet of Fire JW (Mrs P & Miss A Bellamy) From a smaller mould with pleasing head and eye. Correctly made, balanced and well-muscled. I would prefer he was a bit better covered but he was typically animated and was expertly handled.

1ST 38 - Rotherfield One Last Time (Miss A Rattray) A well grown and put together young lady of 6 mths. Pretty head with dark eyes of the correct shape. Strong neck and front construction with good depth of chest. Square loin and level topline, good turn of stifle and quality bone moved OK for her age.

2ND 41 - Islstrom Lia Fail (Mr R & Mrs S M Ross) Pretty ultra feminine 7 mth old with beautiful head and well-set neat ears. Raw with long neck into good front assembly with correct depth of chest. Strong coupling and ever wagging tail moved she moved well once settled.

3RD 1 - Rotherfield Last Forever (Ms Lj Adam) 6 mths old and sister to 1. Similar comments apply she was just full of mischief today.

She has a pretty feminine head with correctly shaped dark almond eyes and good reach of neck into well laid shoulders. Good depth of chest and square loin, level topline and nice turn of stifle. She was exuberant but free moving BPB.

 2ND 53 - Levliann She Bangs (Mrs L Varty-Lindsay) Well constructed bitch who is balanced and presents a beautiful

typical outline standing. Strong front assembly and level topline with square loin. I would prefer a lower tail carriage and although she has a thick functional jacket she is lacking furnishings. She was sympathetically handled and covered the ground with ease.

 3RD 26 - Caci's The Jewel of June at Inchstellie (Imp Swe) (Mrs F Mackessack-Leitch) 15 mth old bitch with classic head, dark eye and soft expression. In good condition with correct depth of body and level topline. Not so positive on the move today.

 3RD 35 - Rainesgift Luaidh at Lochkander (Mrs N J & Miss R A Plummer & Mcpherson) Well grown bitch of 18mths with decent head, strong front construction and in good coat. Perhaps carrying a little too much weight but sympathetically handled to move well.

1ST 27 - Finhamspride Kia at Inchstellie (Mrs F Mackessack-Leitch) Scores for size, with pretty head, well set ears and strong neck. Presented in good condition with strong topline, quality bone, short hocks and tight feet. I would prefer a lower tail carriage but moved well..

 2ND 47 - Llantrussa Winter Dreams (Mrs C A Thomson) 3 year old bitch with typical outline standing. Feminine head with dark eyes of the correct shape and strong neck into balanced body. She was shown in hard muscular condition but had left her party clothes at home.

Strong neck and balanced body of good depth with short loin, nice turn of stifle and well let down hocks. She was in good coat and moved with enthusiasm and drive. (CC)

 3RD 50 - Finhamspride Clio (Mrs Sara & Ms Emc Thurgood & Holmes) A well made bitch with lovely head, dark eye and well-set neat ears. She has a level topline, good turn of stifle, sufficient bone and tight feet.

1ST 54 - Evening Mist Black Brianta (Imp Cze) (Mr N, Mrs R & Ms S Whitaker) Bitch of a nice size with a beautiful one piece head, well set ears and dark almond shaped eyes. Strong neck into well-made front, body of good depth and short coupled with nice turn of stifle and short hocks. A positive and sound mover she was presented in good condition and was handled to advantage.(RCC)

 2ND 4 - Sh Ch Bitcon Jelly Bean (ai) (Mrs K Armstrong) Another well put together typey bitch with typical head and well set ears. Good reach of neck and well angulated fore and aft she was beautifully shown in good condition and never stopped wagging her tail.

 3RD 46 - Sh Ch Caci's The Dream Catcher A Badcall (Mrs C A Thomson) A truly beautiful bitch who had left her coat at home following a recent litter. This made it easy for all to see just how well constructed she is, and a worthy champion. Her pretty head and ever wagging tail completing the picture.

1ST 13 - Simon Says Home to The Castle (Imp Nor) (Miss J Flynn) Presents the most beautiful silhouette standing, from a larger mould but with a lovely head with dark eyes and correct bite, and long strong neck into well laid shoulders. Strong front construction and good depth of depth of body. Immaculately presented with quality bone a sound a positive mover.

2ND 33 - Sh Ch Steelriver Dance in The Sun at Skyloch (Mr I A & Mrs A L McDonald) Scores for size with a feminine head well set neat ears and dark eyes. Well made all through, animated and sound moving a worthy Sh Ch.

 3RD 5 - Sh Ch Moontorn Goddess of Love (Miss A Bellamy) A very typey bitch of a nice size with feminine head, neat well-set ears and intelligent expression. Soundly made and balanced with sufficient bone, she was full of exuberance today which made her movement untidy.
