Hungarian Pumi

I would like to thank all the exhibitors who entered under me and accepted my judgement, it was so exciting to see so many Pumi owners and their dogs.

I can say that the breed is looking much better with quite a few new dogs and puppies, that showed breed type. The dogs of my choice I think were of breed type and movement.

PUPPY DOG (1)

1.Kirkwood- BELLPINS ZIGAZIGAH AT YOLSTEK- White puppy with a bright future and full of character, desired size for a male, with an excellent length of head and the required black pigment on his nose, eye rims and dark eyes ,correctly shaped, ears are high set and the correct reverse V, just enough of the ear tipping, his skull obviously needs to mature and widen and this will come, Body is of a puppy, which only needs to mature, but I can already see his balance and square outlook with his forelegs long, lean and straight. Rear complimented his overall balance, which showed with his spirited movement. Best Puppy in Breed and Reserve Best male

POSTGRADUATE DOG (3,1ab)

1.Spendelow- SAMHAVEN SPECTRE AT UFFSPRING – Silver grey, with a crisp dense coat, Skull had good width and correctly placed ears with desired tip, this gave to his excellent expression, dark pigment on nose but eyes were grey, Square in outline of correct moderate angles, movement was sound and typical.

2.Wilkinson – PILIS-KOGOS TRUKKOS AT HEATHBANK (IMP HUN)- Larger, silver-grey, with another crisp coat, excellent width of skull and length of head with well -muscled cheeks, desired ears and set, nose tapered and blunt. Correctly shaped and dark eyes with dark pigment, body is of square outline and moderate angles, Tail set and carriage was just right, the movement was typical but not as light footed as 1st placed dog.

OPEN DOG (3)

1.Gent- HEATHBANK MISKA – lovely black male, with still more maturing to do, correct characteristic outline a pumi should have, his head was narrow with muscled cheeks, the muzzle length to head ratio was just right, his pigment was black and had dark eyes, the ear set was high and correctly tipped, with the required reverse V, this gave a cheeky expression, forelegs were long, lean and straight, he had a well- muscled neck into shoulders placed correctly above his brisket, back was straight, rear had good muscle and thigh was long, he moved correctly with the typical spirited movement. Best Male and Best of breed.

2.Pike and Carter – BREEZELYN EARS SUMIT SPECIAL- Dark grey male on the lower end of the scale for a male, I did love his head shape, which was long and lean with muscled cheeks, excellent dark pigment and darkest of eyes correctly shaped, he has required barely permissible a stop and his high ear set was perfect with upright ears which just tipped. His chest was rather deep and not broad with a deep brisket and a good tuck-up, I would like more length to his fore- arm, which was lean, he had the perfect tail. I felt his rear was lacking some strength today, which unfortunately showed on his rear choppy movement.

3.Edwards- PAJKOS FINE ‘N’ DANDY – Black masculine dog, top end for size, square in outline, showed in a crisp coat of correct texture, head was of good length and excellent dark pigment, lean in body and a deep brisket just enough neck with perfect placed shoulders, short back, movement was slow, but light footed.

VETERAN DOG (1)

1.Edwards – CSERESZNYESKERTI-CSALFA ZAJOS (IMP HUN) 10 years young which never showed, his body is full of muscle and taut, he is balanced and square, a head of good proportions and correct ear set correctly tipped, dark pigmented, moved briskly with his head held high. BEST VETERAN IN BREED

PUPPY BITCH (3)

1.Briggs and Elliot- BELLPINS LOVE SENSATION- sliver grey, square in outline and mature outlook, she has width to her skull, with minimal stop, ears set on high with the required tip, excellent pigment and dark eyes, ratio of head to muzzle was correct, with blunt nose, i liked her neck length and shoulder placement, with short back, ending with and excellent tail, rear needs to strengthen on the move, but only a baby, this will come.

2.Evans – PILISI-KOCOS UDE AT ZAYDAH- Black girl which I liked for her square shape and breed type; she gave her mum a hard time in the ring. I can see this girl has a bright future ahead once matured and schooled, her overall outlook was balanced with such a feminine head and outlook, with darkest of pigment and dark correctly shaped eyes, she had a balance between her neck and shoulders and straight short back, moderate angles on the rear with a correctly set tail.

3.Rose- PILIS-KOCOS UGYI AT VERMILIONA- Black girl, starting to grey, loved her square outline and short back, she has a lot of qualities, like her sister, with dark pigment and high set ears, another exciting puppy.

JUNIOR BITCH (2,1ab)

1.Wesson – CSULLI LEMOMADE KISSES - white girl, which I liked for type, square in outline, she has excellent pigment and dark eyes, I liked her head which had the correct muzzle length ratio, and barley a stop, skull needs to widen, which I'm sure will happen as she is young, excellent height to ears and required tipping, with the correct reverse V which set off the pumi expression, her brisket was deep, fore-chest was straight, forearm long straight and lean, rear complimented overall balance, typical movement.

POSTGRADUATE BITCH (2)

1.Roberts – HEATHBANK DORCIA - oh how I love this Sliver, grey bitch for type, she is just what we need, and I hope she will be shown more, Judges need to see her as I do, she has a crisp dense coat of correct texture, her head is divine, with the correct pumi expression, dark pigment, and correctly shaped dark eyes, head ratio was bang on, with correctly high set and correctly tipped mobile ears, barley 2 years old and still has some maturing to do to finish her off, she has some depth to her brisket and pronounced withers, correct shoulder placement and short straight back, her forearms are long and lean, with the correct straight front, her rear complimented her front for balance, with the perfect pumi trot, light-footed and harmonious . Best Bitch, Best opposite of sex.

2.JOHNS – BREEZELYN EARS A TOP TIP AT ALEPENKYE Grey girl correct for size and shape, excellent head and dark pigment, correct ratio of muzzle to head, moderate neck and correct shoulder length, pronounced withers and straight back, long lean forearms and depth to brisket, movement was rushed with her head down.

OPEN BITCH(5.1ab)

1.Wesson – CSULLI CHRISTMAS CANDY- Excellent grey bitch for size, and maturity square in outline and an ultra-feminine head which I liked, barely a stop and correct ratios, long and narrow with muscled cheeks, correct pigment and shape of eyes, good depth of brisket, excellent neck and shoulders, to a straight short back, sloping croup, and strong muscled rear, movement was rushed today, but some points she showed the typical trot. Res Best Bitch.

2.JOHNS – BREEZELYN EARS A BREAKTHROU FOR ALEPENKYE- Black girl at the lower end of the size scale, with excellent pigment and dark correctly shaped eyes, ultra feminine in outlook, her neck was moderate in length with correct withers, brisket was deep with correct tuck up, I felt her back was a little arched, a little long and ribbing rather short, her rear was moderate and muscled, tail set and carriage was just right, her movement was light footed but a little close on the rear.

3.BRIGGS – HEATHBANK PALIKI AT BELLPINS- black bitch which had qualities, excellent head proportions and of correct type, square in outline, some depth to brisket, and had correct fore arms which were long and lean, played her handler up today on the movement.

4.Evans - ZADAH I KISSED THE TEACHER- I have placed this silver girl high before when she was in junior, still lots to like about her, liked her head ratio unfortunately, her coat is still quite soft, and she needs a little more confidence with her new handler.

VERTERAN BITCH (1)

1.Wilkinson- ARKOSLIGETI KOCOS MILIMARI (IMP HUN) - Ultra feminine grey girl which I liked her colour and crisp dense coat, bottom end of the size scale. She has an excellent head with dark pigment and eyes, ear set, and tip was very good and gave the perfect expression, just the right amount of moderation, deep brisket and straight short back, tail set was excellent, her movement could have been better, she was pulling to one side and quite rushed. Best veteran bitch
