What a cracking class to start the day!

1ST Hoedun Alexandra of Denmark (Mr P Dunnett)

Classy bitch with gorgeous head and eye, clean through neck and shoulder placement, well ribbed back to short loin. Strong, well muscled quarters, moved sound, gave her all.

2ND Moontorn Goddess of Love (Miss A Bellamy)

Beautiful head with bright expression, well made front with good depth throughout. Sound on the move holding a firm topline. Close up.

3RD Torinmill Gaelic Aurora Kcwgc (Miss E A Branscombe)

Completed a trio of quality mature ladies, all of which share similar attributes and will change places on many occasions I’m sure.

Baby Puppy Bitch

Such a difficult age to access the babies, as we know things change!

Entries: 2 Absentees: 0

1ST Shashkrox Never Grow Up (Mr P & Mrs S Holliday)

A liver youngster, showing much promise, well developed for age. Feminine head, well made front, plenty of reach and drive, holding a firm topline. Personality plus!

2ND Rehyrb Tianyi (Dr J E & Dr M J Alexander)

A black baby, more immature than 1 and not the reach or drive at this stage. She has a pretty head and dark eye, well made throughout, needs to develop in depth and width which she should do with time.

Minor Puppy Bitch

Entries: 3 Absentees: 0

1ST Ronevorg Can I Be Famous for Namtresa (Mrs D E & Mr R M Holman)

I liked her for breed type and balance, she excels in front construction with desired length of upper arm. Well ribbed back to short loin, moved sound with adequate width. Stood on strong legs and neat feet.

2ND Lizzlog Naughty Nun at Night (Mrs L Walker)

Feminine head with good eye shape and colour, she has a well made front and well bodied. Not quite the movement of 1 today.

3RD Steelriver Isle View Pippet (Miss S Stevenson)

This girl is of good breed type with pretty head and eye, fairly immature compared to winners, needs to develop in depth and width throughout. Moving a little narrow behind today and would like more accurate footfall coming.

Puppy Bitch

Entries: 2 Absentees: 1

1ST Dymexe My Cherie Amour (Mr M R & Mrs D P Moxey)

Feminine head with dark eye, well bodied for age with level topline. Needs to settle in movement as she was moving erratic both ways.

Junior Bitch

Entries: 7 Absentees: 1

1ST Diamante Blu Regina Della Pace to Hameldowntor JW (Miss A Kiddell)

This bitch impressed me for her pretty head of good shape and balance, strong front assembly and correct body. She combines racy with substance, she moves as she is made, sound and striking in profile.

2ND Kulawand Cartier (Mr & Mrs R S & Mrs P Lane & Lane-Ridyard)

Another impressive bitch, albeit different type to 1, she has a pretty head, strong front and well developed in body with good length of ribbing to short loin and strong well angulated quarters. Not the footfall of 1 today.

3RD Hoedun The Night Before (Mr P Dunnett)

This bitch is nice to handle, appealing head and eye, strong front, correct body and strong quarters. She was erratic on the move to day, so difficult to assess.

Novice Bitch

Entries: 4 Absentees: 1

1ST Angel Undercover Take My Breath Away (Imp Fra) (Ms P H Turner)

I question why this bitch is still in Novice! She has good breed type with attractive head and intelligent expression. She is correct in front construction, mature in rib to short loin, strong quarters. Best mover in this class.

2ND Hoedun The Night Before (Mr P Dunnett)

Repeat (3rd in Junior)

3RD Dymexe My Cherie Amour (Mr M R & Mrs D P Moxey)

Repeat (1st in Puppy)

Graduate Bitch

Entries: 8 Absentees: 2

1ST Manteauplat Margaux (Mrs A & Mr N Jackson)

Impressive bitch with correctly moulded head of correct balance and dark eye, she has a well made front with adequate depth and width, correct in body, finished with a quality jacket. Another one that moves as she is made and could not put a foot wrong. Sadly she did not perform in the challenge.

2ND Glenturret Gypsy Tart (Mr A F, Mr M & Mrs C J Durrant)

One that shares many attributes as 1 and pushed her all the way. Moved sound fore and aft but a little soft in topline today.

3RD Angel Undercover Take My Breath Away (Imp Fra) (Ms P H Turner)

Repeat (1st in Novice)

Post Graduate Bitch

1ST Hototo Pretty Ballerina JW (Miss C J Chambers)

Cracking bitch with such breed type and balance. She has an appealing head with intelligent expression, well made front with correct depth and width. She is correct in body, well ribbed back to short loin, her quarters are strong with good thickness to thigh. Moved sound with desired reach and depth. RBB

2ND Hoedun Miss Atomic Bomb (Mr P Dunnett)

Another quality bitch with similar attributes to 1, she has a feminine head with bright eye, well made thoughout. Not quite the footfall of 1 on the move.

3RD Kazval Tango in The Night with Fentop (Mr E Harrison)

This bitch has good breed type, a pretty head and is well made throughout, but sadly she carries too much weight which spoils the outline and movement.

Mid Limit Bitch

Entries: 5 Absentees: 2

1ST Moontorn Better Half of Me JW (Miss A Bellamy)

She came, she saw and she conquered! I found this bitch so good to handle, each part seamlessly fitting into the next from her feminine head to her well set on and correctly carried tail. She impressed me greatly for her breed type and balance, her correctly made front assembly, mature ribbing to short loin and strong quarters which she used to great advantage. She was my benchmark and I couldn’t find another bitch to beat her. BB. Sadly she became lame in the challenge for BIS.

2ND Seaheart Diva (Miss G & Mr P Smitherman)

This bitch is a size larger but has balance and is well made with head of good proportions, mature in rib and moved sound. Unlucky to meet 1 in such good form.

3RD Bitcon Taylor Made for Svenjak (Miss A L Gardiner)

A little weighty today and didn’t give her all.

Limit Bitch

Entries: 5 Absentees: 0

1ST Manteauplat Black Pippin (Mrs A C Milton)

Striking outline on this bitch on the stack and didn’t disappoint on handling. She has a typical head with dark eye, strong in front with correct depth, mature in rib to short loin and strong well muscled quarters, moved sound. Lacked some enthusiasm in this class and sadly didn’t perform in the challenge.

2ND Hototo's Polly Toodle (Miss C J Chambers)

This bitch has a well made front, mature body with firm topline. She is sound coming but erratic in hind action today. Preferred the head of 1

3RD Floki Super Trouper of Shashkrox (Mr P & Mrs S Holliday)

Pretty headed bitch with sound front construction and mature in rib. Not the footfall or drive of the winners today.

Open Bitch

Entries: 3 Absentees: 0

1ST Lizzlog Fanny by Gaslight (Mrs L Walker)

Appealed greatly for breed type and balance, she has a well made front with correct depth and width, mature in rib to short loin and strong well muscled quarters, lovely feet! Sound on the move with reach and drive.

2ND Little Roe Maud of Piethorn (Mrs S Groom)

A different type to 1 but correct all the same, she has a pretty head and eye, well made front and mature in rib, strong quarters and sound on the move.

3RD Blacktoft Diamonds Forever (Mr E & Mrs A Harrison & Blakemore)

Larger frame but well balanced. She has a pretty head and strong front. Not the footfall of the winners.

Champion Bitch

Entries: 2 Absentees: 1

1ST Multi Ch Hameldowntor Midsummer Night's Dream (tan) (Miss A Kiddell)

She presents a beautiful outline on the stack and impressive to handle. She has a pretty head, well made front with depth and width, mature in body to short loin, moved with drive and reach but tended to toe in today.

Special Beginners Bitch

Entries: 3 Absentees: 1

1ST Blacklake Dark Lady for Gayplume (Mr G & Mrs J Goodman)

Lovely headed bitch with dark eye, well made front, excels in upper arm. Racy yet has substance, moved sound.

This bitch is correct in body and strong in hind quarters. Not quite the front of 1 and she insisted on crabbing on the move today.

Veteran Dog

1ST Berend Uit De Zwarte Polder for Withybed (Imp Nld) (Mrs A Kilminster)

At 11.5 years young this beautiful dog is all Flatcoat. He shouts breed type and balance and is in wonderful condition, correct in body and in good muscular tone throughout. His construction pleases when handling, flows from nose to tail. BVD & BVIS.

2ND Sh Ch/ir Sh Ch Plainfire's The Captain of My Heart Is Steelriver (Imp Che) ShCEx Cw24 (Miss S Stevenson)

Another that appealed for type, make and shape. He is well made and put up a great performance, a real showman, however I found him a little soft in topline today.

3RD Bochilbarley Blue Moon (ai) ShCEx VW (Mrs P & Miss A Bellamy)

Completed a quality trio of gentlemen! Not the footfall of the winners.

Baby Puppy Dog

Entries: 1 Absentees: 0

1ST Hopevalley Morning Magic (Miss H Bright)

What a promising youngster! Liked his head shape and proportions, also his eye shape and colour. Well made in front with hind quarters to match, moved with real reach and drive covering the ground with ease. Correct body for age. Must have a bright future.

Minor Puppy Dog

Entries: 4 Absentees: 1

1ST Steelriver Isle View Robin (N Mawson)

Thought this male was spot on for his age in terms of maturity. He presents great breed type and balance, strong front assembly, correct body with good depth to short loin, thick muscled quarters to well let down hocks. Moves sound with desired reach and drive holding a firm topline. Racey, yet has substance.

2ND Ronevorg Can You Be Serious (Mr Dh Clark)

Another young exhibit shows great promise and shares many attributes of the winner. Didn’t get it together on the move today so pipped to the post.

3RD Oiyou Waldorf (Mrs L Gordon)

This young dog is well behind the others in terms of development. His head needs to break and his front needs to tighten. He has correct body and moved ok.

Puppy Dog

Entries: 3 Absentees: 0

1ST Steelriver Isle View Robin (N Mawson)

Repeat (1st in Minor Puppy)

2ND Ronevorg King of Attitude (Mrs J & Miss M Campbell & Brown)

A very promising puppy with correct body for age, well constructed front and strong hind quarters, holding a firm topline on the move. His head needs to develop on and he couldn’t match the accuracy in movement of 1 today.

3RD Oiyou Waldorf (Mrs L Gordon)

Repeat (3rd in Minor Puppy)

Junior Dog

Entries: 4 Absentees: 0

1ST Kulawand Callisto (Mr & Mrs R S & Mrs P Lane & Lane-Ridyard)

Quality dog with typical head, he is moderate for type and size. He has a super front assembly, scores in upper arm, correct in body and moves as he is made with reach and drive, sound.

2ND Rotherfield Secret Code (Mrs R Anson)

Another good dog a size bigger than 1, moves sound holding a striking shape in profile. Not the front of 1

3RD Kvicksans The Master Piper at Bluewaters (Imp Swe) (Mrs J Wild)

Taller than the winners of this class but well made throughout. He moves sound but lifts his tail a little high on the move spoiling the outline in profile.

Novice Dog

Entries: 2 Absentees: 0

1ST Esined Bright Idea (Mr Dh Clark)

A young male that impressed me for breed type and balance, there was nothing that I didn’t like but just needs to mature on. He has a typical head, kind eye, his front assembly is desirable with good depth. He is sound on the move holding a good topline in profile. RBD in good company.

2ND Kelvincross Smokey Joe (Mrs C Tinker)

A liver lad that put in a good performance but couldn’t match 1 in type or movement today.

Graduate Dog

Entries: 8 Absentees: 2

Two exhibits of similar type that I liked very much and was splitting hairs.

1ST Clandrift Bring Me Sunshine JW (Mrs V Bowen)

Liked this dog for his size, make and shape, loved his head and eye. Racy in body with strong front and good depth. Standing on strong legs and neat feet he held it all together on the move to tip the balance.

2ND Gloi Dubh Kristofer Robin JW (Ms E J & Dr L Walker & Roberts)

A little smaller than 1 but all in proportion. Shares many of the attributes of the winner but not so together on the move.

3RD Bitcon Alliance with Bluewaters (ai) JW (Mrs J Wild)

Well made and of good breed type, not quite the front of the winners

I found this a very difficult class to judge as not one of them stood ahead for me.

1ST Telurn Fame and Fortune with Rivage (Mr F, Mrs D, Mrs D & Miss K Shelley & Lutner)

This dog won this class on breed type and balance. I liked his masculine head, strong in front with good depth. He is correct in body for his size, moved sound with a firm topline.

2ND Calzeat Gentleman's Agreement to Heatheridge JW ShCEx (Imp Swe) (Ms S Pingree)

Similar type of dog to 1, with a lovely head and kind eye. I found him well made throughout but didn’t have the depth of the class winner. He moved sound when settled with good drive from strong quarters.

3RD Blacklake Angelo for Gayplume (Mrs A M Gulbis)

A sound moving dog with a attractive head. Lacks some maturity compared to winners.

Limit Dog

Entries: 4 Absentees: 1

This was a strong class and was splitting hairs

1ST Riverglide Secret Reprieve (Mrs A Youens)

This dog scores in breed type which won him the class. Very good head piece and a strong front assembly. Mature in body with depth and width. He moves a little narrow behind but excels in extension both ends on the move in profile.

2ND Wyrebeck Caught by Surprise (Miss V M Sullivan)

Close up and similar type to 1. He moves sound fore and aft with a firm topline but not the upperarm, thus reach of the winner.

3RD Glenturret Happy Go Lucky JW Sgwc Kcwgc (Mr A F, Mr M & Mrs C J Durrant)

A smaller type of dog but all in proportion, appealing head. He moves sound but soft in topline when moving today.

Open Dog

1ST Lizzlog Shotgun Harry JW (Mrs L Walker)

This male has beautiful breed type with typical head. He is well made from his nose to his tail with strong front assembly, correct body and well muscled thick thighs. His movement is sound with reach and drive, holding a firm topline.

Champion Dog

1ST Sh Ch Lizzlog Granny Won't Like It JW (Miss H S Walker)

This cracking dog has qualities that shone through as soon as he entered the ring, I couldn’t take my eyes off him. He was what I had been waiting for all day and I was so glad I found him. His head is so “flatcoat” and his front text book, he has mature ribs that extend well back to short loin, good width over the rear. He stands four square on well boned legs and neat feet. His movement is exemplary, couldn’t put a foot wrong, he is a showman and knows his job. He deserves to be already titled and deserved the top spot today. BD & BIS
