I would love to extend my sincerest thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge, although a long day, it was a thoroughly enjoyable one. I had some outstanding exhibits to go over and there is obviously a genuine love for the breed between all owners. I found all ears were correct length and no crooked fronts! A big improvement for the breed. Underjaws could still be stronger but they are improving. A big thank you to my stewards for running my ring so smoothly and for your kind comments at the end.

1, Mrs Lesley & Miss Kelly Blevins BLEVWIL APOLLO

1 year old boy who unfortunately did not have his brave boy pants on today, domed skull, enough stop, good pigment, subtle leathers of good length, correct bite, slight arch over the muzzle, good length of neck, strong front, straight forelegs, tight feet, lovely depth and length of ribs, level topline, good turn of stifle and well let down hocks which propelled him well on the move, overall he presented that typical breed outline and stye, braveness aside he is a dog who would be able to do his days work, RBD.

2, Messrs M & J Stevenson-Bramley REVENITE MR HUDSON

17 month old, longer and lower than 1, domed skull, fine leathers of good length, correct pigment, correct bite, good length of neck, lacking in front, straight forelegs, tight feet, good depth of rib, level topline, moderate turn of stifle, hocks a touch too high, good coat texture, held his tail well on the move, happy mover.

Open Dog (4:2)

1, Mrs S, Miss E & Mr O Robertson CH DYFRGI’S EXPLOSION W WITH SOLETRADER (SWED IMP)

2 years old, my notes on this boy say wow and there isn’t much more to expand on, of a different type to the rest of my entries and slightly square in profile but so well balanced, domed skull, correct ear set and length, enough stop, strong muzzle, correct bite, good short neck, prominent front, straight forelegs, tight feet, good depth and length of rib, level topline which he held at all times, excellent turn of stifle, well let down hocks, moved with so much power and drive, a worthy champion who deserved his awards today and I was absolutely delighted to see he later received group 2, I will be following this dog with great interest. 2, Mr R & Mrs H Allenby CH RANGALI TIGGER

8 years old, a veteran who clearly doesn’t know his age, longer in body than 1, domed skull, correct ear set, fine leathers extending to the nose, enough stop, correct bit, underjaw okay, good length of neck, straight front with prominent sternum, level topline, good depth and length of rib, well angulated in the rear, excitable on the move which made his movement a touch difficult to assess. BVIB

1, Mr R & Mrs H Allenby RANGALI PIXE

9 months old, A very attractive youngster, domed skull, correct ear set and length, the sweetest expression, good amount of stop, slight arch on the foreface, correct bite, nice short neck, straight front, prominent sternum, good depth of rib for such a young age and well extended, a touch bum high which made her topline uneven on the day however I’m sure as she matures this will sort itself, good turn of stifle, well let down hocks which allowed for her free easy movement, this youngster really caught my eye and I will follow her show career closely. Post Graduate Bitch (3:2)

1, Messrs M & J Stevenson-Bramley REVENITE MRS BRIDGES

17 month old, domed head, correct stop, good length of ear with a fine texture, good pigment, correct bite, typical expression, okay length of neck, straight front, could have a more pronounced sternum, good length and depth of rib, level topline, moderate turn of stifle, good coat, well-muscled, moved well.

Open Bitch (5:3)

1, Mrs E Thornton & Dr A Leech CH MOCHRAS MAHGAUX JW

23 month old, A bitch full of quality and very worthy of her title, presented a beautiful outline, domed skull, good ear set and length with a subtle texture, moderate stop, slight arch over foreface, correct pigment and bite, lovely expression, good length of neck, straight forelegs, very pronounced sternum, excellent depth and length of ribs, straight topline which she held on the move, correct tail set, lovely turn of stifle, tight feet, well muscled, shown in good coat, such a happy girl who moved with such a quick and easy action, she pushed very hard for best of breed in the final line up and I will follow her with great interest. 2, Mrs J A & Dr A C Leech MOCHRAS MAHMALADE BY JAMCHALA JW

23 month old, litter sister to first, slightly heavier all through but still presented a nice outline, domed skull, good amount of stop, slight arch over the foreface, strong pigment, correct bite, correct ear set and length, good length, straight forelegs, prominent front, good length of rib, level topline, lovely turn of stifle, nice coat, correct tail set, moved well when her mum took over!
