PUPPY DOG (1) 1ST Harris, Mr W, Zarcrest After Blend: A really top-quality dog of just 9 months of age presented and shown beautifully. Very well-balanced. Merry and free attitude with tail wagging, well developed head for one so young, well rounded with clearly defined stop, typical expression and full eye, ears correctly set, correct, clean and complete dentition, neat set clean neck into excellent forehand assembly, ribs well sprung, strong back with slight slope well-made hindquarters with strong hocks, nice feet, moved very well. Best Puppy, Reserve Best Dog, Puppy Gundog Group 1, Best Puppy in Show and overall winner of the Eukanuba Puppy Stakes. JUNIOR DOG (1) 1ST Jennings, Mr D K, Alibama Quintessential: A beautifully prepared and well-balanced young dog. Presented an excellent outline when stacked. Very good head with pronounced stop. Correct eye shape and colour with well-set ears. Correct, clean and complete dentition. Neck of good length, leading to clean, well laid shoulder and corresponding return of upper arm. Chest of good depth. Rib needs to spring a little more but he is still very young. Correct back line sloping slightly towards the tail which is well set. Powerful hindquarters with strong hocks. Moved very well. In the challenge, I felt that the puppy dog showed a little more maturity. LIMIT DOG (2) 1ST Dummett & Vikhrova, Ms B & Mrs T, Nova Story Boogie Woogie (IMP MNE): Another beautifully prepared male. Very good overall balance presenting typical breed outline. Good head shape with well-defined stop and correct chiselling around the eyes. Correct, clean and complete dentition. Strong neck of good length leading to good forehand assembly. Deep chest with good spring of rib. Gently sloping topline. Well angulated hindquarters. In excellent coat and condition. Moved well and accurately. 2ND Walsh, Miss L, Kenzduo Juniper At Pippaway: Of pleasing overall type. Presented and shown well. 23 months of age. Correct, clean and complete dentition. Good head shape and correct eye with well-defined chiselling and ears correctly set-on. Good length of neck leading to correct forehand construction. Well sprung ribcage. Well-made hindquarters. Moved on a good stride but not with the accuracy of the 1ST placed exhibit. So very well balanced and free from exaggeration, which in turn lead to an excellent outline. True head with well-developed skull. Correct, clean and complete dentition. Correct eye shape with requisite chiselling and well set ears. Neck of good length, leading to clean, well laid shoulder and corresponding return of upper arm. Chest of good depth, just reaching to the elbow. Ribs well sprung. Correct back line sloping slightly towards the tail which is well set. Powerful hindquarters with strong hock. Excellent feet. Moved with great drive and accuracy on a ground covering stride. Best Dog and Best of Breed. OPEN BITCH (2) 1ST Nelson & Bryant, Mrs L & Mrs B, SH CH Nasailleen Bye Felicia: Very feminine and pretty bitch with a wonderful soft expression. Again, presented, shown and handled to the very highest of standards. Excellent overall balance demonstrating correct breed outline. Correct, clean and complete dentition. Beautiful, feminine and correct head with lobular ears set in line with the eyes. Strong neck of good length leading to well laid shoulder and corresponding return of upper arm. Chest of good depth and width. Very good spring of rib leading to short loin. Gently sloping backline. Well-made hindquarters. Presented in excellent coat and condition. On the move she was accurate both fore and aft and demonstrated excellent reach and drive when viewed in profile. Quite simply, an outstanding bitch. Best Bitch. 2ND Dummett, Miss B, Almondsbury The Pop Kid JW: A lovely bitch of almost 3 years of age. Shown and presented well. She has much to like about her, including an excellent outline when stacked and a feminine head and expression. Well-balanced, correct, clean and complete dentition. Clean and correct eye.
