OD (4) 1 Lambert’s Sturtmoor’s Gon’n Dun It. 6.5 month old wheaten and what a super smart quality young dog with an assured confident attitude, attractive head, dark brown eye colour, dark pigmentation round eyes, very alert, medium length of neck, good width of front, ribs extend well back, medium angulation in rear, strong hocks plenty of substance, presented in a well grown harsh double coat, moved very true out and back, with excellent high tail carriage with a neat single curl, a very promising puppy who I will watch with interest! 2 Corin and Camm’s Mazads Nom De Plume.16 month old wheaten presented in clean condition, pleasing head and expression, lively and alert, good bone and substance, good depth of chest and ribs well sprung, stands on small round neat tight feet, tail has a double curl is high set and with plenty of furnishing, neck is on the shorter side and couldn’t match the front extension of 1. 3 Butterworth’s Kligenthal Einar.

OB (7) 1 Irvine’s Ch Blackcombe Bodil at Tapui (Imp). Clear winner of this class and not surprised to see this wheaten carries her Champion title, it was lovely to watch her go on to win the BCC and BIS on the day under the Club show judge. A super showy happy exhibit who didn’t put a paw wrong, in fact, she comes into the free-stand foot perfect every time, and only has eyes for her handler – they make a great team and are hard to ignore. She feels fantastic to go over, in hard fit muscular condition, presented in excellent double coat, has a balanced profile and shows good reach and drive on the move with such a free and effortless gait, head of correct wedge shape, with super dark pigmentation and high set ears of good length which finish the picture. Appears to be in her prime and surely will catch many more judges’ eyes in the future. 2 Strong’s Draccus I Have A Dream (AI). Judged this 17 month old black earlier this year and still needs time to settle and get to the job in hand however she presents a nice square outline in profile with firm level topline, slight arch to the neck, has a very keen and alert expression, flat skull, high set ears, dark brown eyes that are oval in shape, good width to front, once she settled into her trot, she showed a free, light, easy action and carried her tight double curled tail high. 3 Shorer-Wheeler’s Sturtmoor’s Ffascination with Koromandel.

CH D/B (6) 1 Cobb, Cobb and Kent’s Ch Koromandel Best Served Cold at Knytshall. I turned around to see this wheaten dog and I couldn’t take my eyes off him. On assessment and hearing he is 7 years old, you wouldn’t think it as not showing any age at all, another who free stands to advantage with straight forelegs, tight compact feet, good turn of hock, strong level topline, good length of neck, laid back shoulder, his movement is smooth, light and free and is very accurate to and fro. His tail is set high and has a neat double curl, his ribs extend well back and is in full double coat. What a pleasure to judge this dog and surely has many more wins under his belt to come. 2 Butterworth’s Ch Koromandel Gild The Lily. I see from the catalogue she is litter sister to 1. Perhaps a shade longer than square but what a great little package she is and well worthy of her title, straight forelegs, good width inbetween front legs, her head is wedge-shaped with typical triangular shaped ears, medium brown coloured eyes spaced well apart and oval in shape, she has the slight spring in front pastern, a deep chest, slight tuck up and an attractive tail which was set high and with correct double curl. A good mover too and always on her toes. 3 Patrick & Ashman’s Ch Tapui Starla. Daughter of 1!
