Akita

Dogs

Minor puppy

1: WILLY, Mrs Nicola Jane & WILLY, Mr David Sensha's One Of A Kind, 8 month and all male, very nicely proportioned and super clear colours. His head and expression are a delight, already looks all of a piece. Totally balanced with moderate angulation. Beautifully presented and moved out well. He is going to be a future star; I have no doubt. RCC, BP and delighted that he won the Puppy Group.

2: KOOT, Mr Maikel & KOOT-VAN OOSTEN, Mrs. Wendy Ridiculous New York Cheesecake, 8-month-old and not as mature in outlook as the winner, just needs to come up on leg for balance. He is good for depth of chest and is moderately angulated. Loved ok in profile, just a little erratic on the out and back.

Open

1: BEVIS, Ms F & BEVIS, C & CORR, R & VENEZIA, K Ch Stecal's All Guns Blazing, have judged this impressive male on a couple of occasions and have done him well, so no surprise that I really rate him and was delighted to see him again. He is quite superb for outline and absolutely bang on form, his colours are so bright and clear, and he was in wonderful coat and condition. To go over him there is very little to change, he is the correct balance in outline, the most gorgeous head and expression and as sound as a pound. A real stallion of a dog, handled to perfection and presented masterfully. CC & BOB and wonderful to see him win the group and finish off RBIS.

2: IASON, Mrs C & LYKKE HULS, Mrs Lene Multi Multi Ch Estruphus' My Dynamic Task Force Im, liked this dog very much too, he is upstanding and balanced in angulation, perhaps just a tad longer than the winner. He was in excellent condition and has a good coat. Move out well, keeping an outline and powerful in stride.

3: HOPKINS, Mrs Jill Lsa Sundancer At Travistock (imp Rkf)

Veteran

1: PAGE, Mrs Toni & PAGE, Mr Ronald Ben Whatif's Infinity Sh.CM, 7-year-old in fine form, all male and in super condition for his age. He has a great topline, depth to chest and balanced angulation. Moved out on the right track. BV

Bitches

Minor Puppy

1: IASON, Mrs C Whitewreath Open Fire, 6-month-old and presents a balanced outline, won the class on precision on the move and also head and expression. Strong neck, good topline and well-set tail. Bright in colour.

2: HUTTON, Miss Alesi Jill & WALKER, Mr Owen Whitewreath Trigger Finger, perhaps slightly better in length than the winner, but she just needs to come up a little on front leg for balance and finish in head. In super condition and she too is bright in colour. Her age told on the move, but she will have better days.

Puppy

1: DUFFIELD, Mrs Nicola & DUFFIELD, Mr Edward Meiho's Flame Of A Legend, 10-month-old and coming along on the right lines. Pleasing for outline and she has a very decent head and expression. Strong topline and well-set tail. On the move she has an ease of stride and holds herself well.

Junior

1: ROBINSON, Mrs J & SUTTON, Mr A & GOULDSON, Mrs C Whitewreath Crystal Lady, 16 month and feminine in outlook. Absolutely delightful head and expression and completely balanced in angulation. She is possibly just a tad long in neck for complete balance and she lost her topline slightly when it mattered. Moved out on the right track and was handled beautifully.

Post Grad

1: ROBINSON, Mrs J & SUTTON, Mr A & GOULDSON, Mrs C Whitewreath Crystal Lady

2: HOPKINS, Mrs Jill Travistock Wish Upon A Star, good for type and pleasing in outline, she was out of coat which was a shame and a tad erratic on the move today. Her expression is super. Another who will have better days.

3: PAGE, Mrs Toni & PAGE, Mr Ronald Ben Whatif's Eclipse

Limit

1: PREDDY, Mr I F Estava Rain World In My Eyes Avec Overhill (Imp No. Presented to perfection and handled very well, this bitch should always figure. She won the class on the move, where she is typical and precise in profile. I just felt that she was just a tad heavy over the shoulders today, which affected her movement coming towards me. Her head shape is good, just not the expression of the CC winner and so had to settle for the RCC. Her title will come, and I will not disagree when it does.

2: FIDDES, Mr N Ashkari Killer Queen, super for type and pleasing outline, just not the profile action of the winner. Lots to like though.

Open

1: BOSTOCK, Mr M & ANTON, Mr Alex & ARMSTRONG, Ms Jan Ch Ruthdales Miss Deville, she has a look of Akita, and her head and expression are really delightful. On the move she will always take the eye, where she is precise and powerful. Handled to get the best out of her, she was in good coat and has bright clear colours. Tail carried correct, she is balanced and moderate in angulation. CC

2: KOOT, Mr Maikel & KOOT-VAN OOSTEN, Mrs. Wendy Old Lime's Good Girl Grace, slightly different type and pleasing for balance, she could have just used herself a little more for benefit on the move today.
