Kooikerhondje

It was a pleasure to judge this entry today, such a charming breed and the sportsmanship was to be commended. All dogs were exhibited in good condition. Some were in between coats and size does vary considerably.

Dogs

Veteran

1: Papikoi Time Out (Mrs L & Mr N Brook), 8-year-old and in fine fettle. He is balanced, being just off square. Pleasing head with super expression. Balanced in angulation. He has a decent topline and carries his tail well. Sound on the move.

Junior

1: Twybrook Barenhauter (Mr I & Mrs C Davies), 9-month-old and what an exciting prospect this young man is. He is super for size, completely balanced and typical in outline being the correct shape. His head is the desired wedge shape and the balance of skull to muzzle correct, he also has the most delightful expression with correctly shaped eyes. Excellent front and has good ribbing even at this age. Strong topline leading into the correct croup and tail set. Balanced angulation behind. On the move he has a free and easy stride which really takes the eye and looks as if he could go all day. A delight and I wish him well for the future. I could not deny him today BD, BOB, BP

Post Grad

1: Twybrook Charming Prince (Mrs A Purser), all male and up to size. He is balanced in outline. Pleases in expression and is a decent coat and colour. He keeps his topline and used himself on the move, putting his feet in the right place. Decent chap

2: Kerfkooiker Gynn (Miss E Harvey), smaller type but sound on the move and in good condition. Precise on the out and back. Used and carried his tail correctly.

3: Twybrook Noble Prince at Kogarahs (Mrs V A Roberts)

Open

1; Millhanger Kemboy (Mr I & Mrs C Davies), very decent dog, full of type and as sound as a bell. He is good for size, has a very decent head and expression. Coat of good texture and colour. Could possibly have a little more return of upper arm, but he is well ribbed, has a strong topline and a well set and carried tail. Good one. RBD

2: Gladsheim Eleodoro at Kerelkoor (Mr A & Mrs K Guy), another who scores for size and is balanced in outline. Super expression being kind and well marked. Strong topline and the correct croup. Could possibly have a tad more neck. He is sound on the move and carried himself well.

3: Benitin Trojan of Geduld (Mr W & Mrs S Gutteridge)

Bitches

Veteran

1: Sensation vom Tespelkooi of Valleyrise VW (Imp Deu) (Miss C Johnson), well known 8-year-old and so very pretty. She is super for size and completely typical in outline. Balanced to go over with everything in the right place. Delightful head and expression and as sound as a bell. I just felt that her tail could be raised a little to at least the level of her back today on the move, but the cold weather and long day could have been a factor. RBB and BV

2: Cirtaps Prinses Bynton Ida Rose Mk (Imp Swe) (Mr A & Mrs K Guy), 10-year-old who belies her age. She is in such wonderful condition and a real credit to her owner. Another with the loveliest expression. Balanced in outline strong topline and correct croup and tail set. Moved out well but just not the positivity of the winner going away today.

Junior

1: Twybrook Rotkappchen of Geduld (Mr W & Mrs S Gutteridge), 9-month-old and coming along the right lines. She has the prettiest of expressions. Good for neck into shoulder and has a decent forehand. Just off square, she is balanced in outline. Good topline and well-set tail. Coat coming along and she puts her feet in the right place.

Post Grad

1: Twybrook Sweet Princess (Mrs C Stewart), completely balanced and has a decent forehand. Her head and expression are good. She has a decent neck and firm topline. Coat texture and colour excellent. Sound on the move and carries herself well.

2: Mooiekooi’s Dolly Dodge (Mrs G & Miss C Cambridge & Skjonberg), slightly taller than the winner and at the teenage stage. She is pretty in expression and has a decent neck into topline. A tad out of coat at the moment and she just needs a little confidence. Moved out on the right track.

3: Valkira Whispering Hope (Miss A Mar-Gerrison)

Open

1: Valleyrise Illustration (Miss C Johnson), a really super bitch so full of type and completely balanced in outline. She is super for size, totally feminine and so very sound in profile. She uses herself well and carries her tail correctly. The prettiest of expressions and in good coat. BB

2: Qunack's Favor Light for Twybrook (Imp Nld) Rl1ex (Mrs C Stewart), decent for type, this lady scores for shape and size. Not the coat of the winner and just not quite the reach in front in profile, but she is very decent and has the most endearing of temperaments.

3: Mooiekooi’s Dolly Dodge (Mrs G & Miss C Cambridge & Skjonberg)
