Affenpinscher

Dogs

Veteran

1: Ribbleriver Thunder Bolt of Kirkara (Mr W A, Mrs K & Miss S L Kirkman), 9-year-old in fine fettle and full of fun. He is a good size, has a typical expression and in good coat of super texture. Moved out well and kept an outline. BV

Minor Puppy

1: Florindale Dark Wizard (Mrs V & Mrs A S Kemeny & Gill), 7-month-old and very much a baby. Pleases in shape, delightfully inquisitive expression. Coat coming along nicely. Moved out well in profile with correct front action, just needs to settle going away.

Puppy

1: Afterglow Bat in The Belfry for Guereza (Mrs J & Mrs S Mcevoy & Pirrie), mature 10-month-old of obvious quality. All male, presented to perfection, his head and expression are a delight. He has a decent front, well ribbed and balanced behind. His attitude is to be cherished. On the move he is so very eye-catching and has an assured future ahead of him. I was very taken with him and thought he would be a serious contender for higher honours, but in the challenge his age told, as his mind tended to be elsewhere.

Junior

1: Darkle Vyvan Bear Starred (Miss Gruninger), decent young dog who presents a very pleasing outline. He pleases for head and expression. On the table he has all in the right place. A good coat of correct texture and on the move, he is typical in outline.

2: Avantgarde I’m A Gangsta (Mrs D L Shepherd), good for size, this boy has the most delightful head and expression. Correct outline, he just needs to settle on the move particularly on the out and back. Time is on his side.

3: Buffels Evidently Obvious (Mrs J P Callow)

Yearling

1: Darkle Vyvan Bear Starred (Miss Gruninger)

2: Dinahtron The Rock (Mr K & Mrs J Toohey), this boy has the most endearing temperament, and he just can’t help but make you smile. He is super condition and pleases in expression. Just a little too much of him for me. On the move he put his feet in the right place, when he thought about it.

Post Grad

1: Faehat Trilby (Mrs F Currie), good for size and shape. Cheeky expression and head decently proportioned. Coat of good texture and he is in super condition. Would just prefer a bit more positivity on the out and back.

Limit

1: Ashiblack Caviar JW (Miss V L Shennan), super boy with a true monkey like expression. He is compact and well ribbed, stands totally over himself and has a very typical action on the move. Champion in the making I’m sure and I seriously considered him.

2: Carmichan More Than A Dream with Scapafield (Mrs J F Wiggins), liked this boy too and he too pleases for type, just a tad longer cast then the winner. He too moves correctly and held his outline. Decent chap indeed.

3: Coutureabull Quo Vadis at Veunstus (Mr D L & Mrs J M Merrett)

Open

1: Ch High Wire Walker of Darkle (Ms J, Ms B, Mrs Z & Mr G Gruninger, Sweigart, Truesdale & King), 2 very decent dogs headed this class, and it was splitting hairs to separate them. The winner won on the out and back. Both in super condition both very typical in shape and both holding an outline in profile. In the challenge he stepped up a gear and was rewarded with the DCC

2: Ch Coutureabull Mr Muison (Mrs M E & Miss S J Clifton-Plaice & Wildig), will change places on more than one occasion and was so very beautifully handled, RCC

3: Avantgarde Sexy Symbolist (Mrs D L Shepherd)

Bitches

Minor Puppy:

1: Guereza Goody Goody Gumdrop (Mrs S & Mrs J Pirrie & Mcevoy), 8 months and simply sensational. In she came and my heart skipped a beat. Yes, she is young, yes, she will benefit from maturity but for me she was all I was looking for today. Her expression is textbook, her construction wonderful and her movement so sound, precise, true in action and that rare look at me quality so very seldomly seen. This is the start of a wonderful future for her I am sure, and I wish her all the luck. I just could not get past her today and was totally deserving of the BCC, BOB and BP.

2`; Florindale Just Magic (Mrs A S Gill), 7 months and coming along the right lines. Moves out well and keeps her outline, time is on her side.

3: Sajatin Tara of Farthinghall (Mrs K Milroy)

Puppy

1: Ashiblack by The Sea (Miss V L Shennan), 10-month-old and a real sweetie, she is good for size and shape and has superb proportions of head. Coat coming in well and is a super texture. On her tip toes, she is champion quality.

Junior

1: Pipes of Peace at Nantmelan (M Hughes), nearly 18-month-old and a real sweetie. Delightful for head and expression, super shape, in excellent condition and moved out really well holding her outline.

2: Scapafield Schwarz Skylark with Scalene (Mr C R W Hill), really liked this young lady too, and she is delightful on the move, just not the finish today of the winner.

3: Faehat Percher (Mrs F Currie)

Yearling

1: Afterglow Cheddar Gorgeous Guereza (Mrs S & Mrs J Pirrie & Mcevoy), superior young lady full of type and quality. She is superb for size and compact in outline. Pleasing in head and expression, moves with style, typical action and a delightfully cheeky attitude. Another who will no doubt title and rightly so, but just had to bow to the puppy bitch, who apparently is her daughter. Those pesky kids!!! RCC

2: Pipes of Peace at Nantmelan (M Hughes)

3: Scapafield Schwarz Skylark with Scalene (Mr C R W Hill)

Post Grad

1: Kirkara Gloria Swanson (Mr W A, Mrs K & Miss S L Kirkman), won the class on the out and back where she was the more positive. She pleases for type and is good for size and shape. Well set tail and coat of good texture. Very well handled.

2: Affentude Wiggle and Giggle (Mr D L & Mrs J M Merrett), this is a pleasing bitch for type and size, liked her head and expression and she holds an outline in profile, just a tad erratic on the out and back today.

3: Affentude Allegro at Dallyvista (Miss P Wills)

Limit

1: Afterglow Cheddar Gorgeous Guereza (Mrs S & Mrs J Pirrie & Mcevoy)

2: Affentude One in A Minion (Miss J & Miss S Wildig), decent bitch for type and size and she pleases very much on the table, just a tad wide coming towards me today.

Open

1: Ch Avantgarde Les Fleurs Du Mal (Mrs D L Shepherd), decent bitch and good for size and shape, delightfully monkey in expression, she is sound and holds an outline and I can quite understand why she has a title. Just lacked a little in sparkle when it mattered but she will have better days, I’m sure.

2: Affentude Rumour Has It (Misses S & J & Mr A Wildig & Harley), close up and she too has type and shape, a little erratic going away from me, but these two could change places easily.

3: Riogaioch Beth Le Hem (Mrs S L Pirrie)
