Dogs

Veteran

1: TOPLISS, Mrs Trudy Sh Ch Beresford Night Train, 7-year-old l/w in superb condition. He is extremely typical in outline and has a delightful head and expression. Strong neck into well made forehand, he has a good topline leading into well set and carried tail. Well ribbed and in good body condition. Balanced in angulation behind, he uses himself in profile, possibly just a tad narrow coming on. RCC and BV

Puppy

1: HILL, Mrs Clare Teignvalley New Beginnings, 10-month-old b/w of potential. His head is super for balance and expression. He is well grown for his age and has quality bone. Strong in neck, firm topline and correctly set tail. He is decent for shoulder but could possibly have a little more return of upper arm. Well ribbed and good angualtion behind. Enthusiastic on the move, he uses himself well and keeps an outline, putting his feet in the right place. Has a future, I’m sure.

Junior

1: CALVERT, Mr and Mrs Martin Oliver Calvdale With Respect Jw, l/w and very mature for his age. He has a pleasing head and super expression. Superb for front assembly and he has a true swing from the front when he moves. Strong topline, well ribbed back and balanced behind. His youthful exuberance means he just carries his tail a tad high at the moment. In super condition.

Post Grad

1: MERRY, Mrs H Gleadsbury It Is Destiny For Anacapa, l/w very decent for type and he is a good size. Masculine head, strong neck into a well-placed forehand. In good coat, well presented. He is balnced in outline and is well angulated behind without exaggeration. On the move he holds himself and puts his feet in the right place.

2: STEVENSON, Ms E Peasblossom Brogan At Gaolachcara, l/w and going through the teenage stage at the moment. He is very typical in outline but just needs to fill his frame. His head pleases for balance in profile. Decent layback of shoulder but could possibly have a tad more return of upper arm. Well-presented and handled.

3: LE-CLERC, Mrs Amy & LE-CLERC, Mr Michael Hunterheck Fade To Black

Limit

1: SUCH, Miss J A Carlyquinn Captain Ross At Mujascal JW, l/w all male and in super condition and well-presented coat. Masculine head, decent front and correct topline. He is balanced behind and moved out well. Just would not want anymore of him.

2: WARRENER, Mrs H Eastfalla Sherlock Holmes, b/w good for size and he pleases in profile action. A little straight in forehand angulation and he tends to roach a little in topline. Decent for hind angualtion and he was in super muscle condition.

Open

1: TOPLISS, Mrs Trudy Sh Ch Sandylands Stand N Deliver, stand out here today in males, fully mature and in super coat, this l/w has type in bucket loads and has such a super outline. He scores in front assembly, strong neck into perfect topline and correct tail set. Balanced behind. He is well ribbed and short in loin. On the move he has a typical action and really uses himself to advantage. Handled masterfully. CC

2: TOPLISS, Mrs Trudy Beresford Bolt From The Blue, b/w who appeals and he is very honest to go over. Super front and well ribbed, he just loses his topline lightly which is a shame. Moves out well and is precise out and back.

3: TOPLISS, Mrs Trudy Sh Ch Beresford Lockdown

Special Beginner

1: LE-CLERC, Mrs Amy & LE-CLERC, Mr Michael Hunterheck Fade To Black, b/w in good condition and coat. He is good for size and has a very sweet expression. Well ribbed back and strong in topline.

Bitches

1: AINSLEY, Miss Lucy-May & NICKLIN, Mr Lewis Sh Ch Daenerys Winds Of Winter, 7-year-old l/w who has the most delightfully eye-catching outline. Her head and expression are beautiful. Totally balanced in angulation, well ribbed and presented and handled perfectly. In profile she moves with style and covers the ground. Just a tad narrow coming towards me today, but she is very worthy of her title and belies her age.

Minor Puppy

1: CORBETT, Mrs Ann Sieger's See Eye To Eye With Trimere (Imp Dnk) A.E, 8-month-old l/w and going to be a sensation. Her outline takes your breath away and she is already all of a piece. Her front is superb, she is well filled in front, well ribbed back and has a strong short loin. Super angulation behind. On the move she has swing in front, soundness behind and style in profile. I loved her and will be another top winner for this kennel. BP

Puppy

1: HILL, Mrs Clare Teignvalley Rags To Riches, 10-month-old b/w and coming along the right lines, she is very balanced and has a very pretty head and expression. Decent front and well ribbed, her topline is good and she has a correctly set tail. On the move she is precise and carries herself well. Should title.

Junior

1; CHANDLER, Miss Elizabeth Elazlan Coronation Day J.w., l/w 16 months old and very Springer in outline. Her head and expression are a delight, she has a good strong neck into superb front assembly and stands on good feet. Well ribbed back, she has a correctly set tail. Balanced behind. On the move she is stylish, correct in action and presides in the out and back. Champion quality for sure

Post Grad

1: SAVELL, Ms Christine Petranella Tipping The Wink JW, have always liked this l/w bitch who really produces a super outline stacked. She pleases for head and expression, decent neck into well laid shoulder. Well ribbed back and correctly set tail. On the move she is precise on the out and back, putting her feet in the right place but just lost her topline slightly in profile which was a shame. She will title, I have no doubt and won’t disagree when she does.

2: TOPLISS, Mrs Trudy Shersona I Believe In Angels At Beresford, b/w who in profile is very eyecatching and was so well handled. I liked her head and expression, and her balance is good. She is just a tad wide coming towards me.

3: TOLLADAY, Mrs S & TOLLADAY, Mr Gilbert Calvdale Half A Story Bethersden

Limit

1: KEELY, Mr & Mrs M J & K Khaleesi De Les Tres Llacunes With Alhambian (imp, really typical l/w who is super to go over. She has a delightful head and expression, super for front and is well ribbed back, and totally balanced behind. She has a look of yesteryear, which is nothing to be ashamed of. On the move she has a correct swing and pleases in profile. Another who should title.

2: TOPLISS, Mrs Trudy Beresford It's A Sin, l/w bitch who is very balanced and pleases on the stack, her head and expression are lovely, and she is good to go over, she just wasn’t that confident on the move today which spoilt her chances, she will have better days

Open

Gave me a real headache and was most definitely the class of the day with 3 super examples of the breed. I could judge this class on another day and come up with a completely different result. Truly a case of judging on the day.

1: CORBETT, Mrs Ann Sh Ch Trimere Time Fly's, fully mature and all of a piece, this l/w screams type. Her outline stacked is wonderful and she flows from head to tail. Absolutely Springer in action and holds herself so well, being both sound and precise. In perfect body condition and extremely well ribbed. On this form she will be hard to beat. CC & BOB

2: CALVERT, Mr And Mrs Martin Oliver Sh Ch Calvdale Flutter JW. Looked fabulous today on the stack and if I’m honest, I possibly prefer her head shape. She too is fully mature and in gleaming condition. I just felt that she was a tad erratic out and back today and this was the deciding factor.

3: SMITH, Mr R J Sh Ch Melverly Iridescent. I have made no secret of the fact that I love this bitch, having given her BPIS at Leeds last year. She is absolutely beautiful but today I felt she rushed a little and so lost her outline, particularly in profile, and in this competition, these little things sadly have to count. She will have far better days for sure.

Special beginners

1: LE-CLERC, Mrs Amy & LE-CLERC, Mr Michael Hunterheck Lost In A Spell, b/w who is good for size and very feminine. Good topline and well-set tail. Just needs to concentrate on the job in hand and she’ll be away.
