Thank you so much to Southern Counties for the opportunity to judge these breeds at their well run show. My ring stewards were fantastic and kept things flowing smoothly, especially during class changeovers when people were swapping dogs. Also a huge thank you to the exhibitors who entered their lovely dogs for me to judge, it’s difficult to take a chance on someone who is not a specialist so the support is greatly appreciated. All exhibits had excellent temperaments and there were some difficult decisions for me to make on the day.

Class 2117 Special Beginners (1)

1st 5995 - Jantonely Zinagalong Baloo (Mrs H Sharkey)

Nicely sized male who is in a bit of a leggy stage at the moment. Balanced, clean head with a dark mask, correct eye colour and shape. Good length of neck, well constructed front, good bone, tight feet. Held his topline well, good rear angulation but does need to firm up through the rear to allow for more of a driving action when he moves. Best Special Beginner.

1st 5994 - Alfross Tulabo Xavier (Mrs J Pugh)

Really nice male who is just coming into his prime at 3 years old. Excellent head, well balanced, clean with no wrinkle and good length of muzzle. Lovely eye colour and shape. Good neck, excellent front construction and well off for bone. Tight feet with nails of a good length. Firm underhand throughout, great muscling particularly of the rear. Moved well, flowing with great drive.

2nd 6002 - Nexgen Apache Chief (Mrs S Tratt)

Another strong male who pushed hard for first place. Another lovely head with the correct eye colour, good length of muzzle and strong jaw. Well boned fores, feet not quite as good as the first dog. Good ribbing and balanced in his overall construction. Well muscled, with an excellent width of thigh. Moved well.

3rd 5996 - Dragongardens Turn It On at Billboos (Imp Swe) (Mr A P & Mrs P A & Mr W Simmonds & Simmonds & Crawley)

1st 6001 - Ch Corleone Navigator at Kalizmar (Imp Can) (Mr L & Miss K Studholme & Rushby)

Very eye catching male, demands attention as soon as he enters the ring, the ultimate showman. Head is clean and balanced, shows elegance without lacking in masculinity. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders. Amount of bone is balanced with his overall size and shape. Strong through the pasterns with tight feet. Good spring of rib, topline held well. Excellent rear angulation, really powerful muscling and great strength to his hocks. Very active on the move with just a touch too much upthrust when he moves away. Best Dog. RBOB.

2nd 5982 - Ch Fairy Clocks Bonus Catch The World Into Lionsridge (Imp Nor) ShCEx (Mrs B Bodle)

Another one who really takes your eye when he enters the ring. Powerful without being heavy. Excellent head, correct eye colour, strong jaw. Well constructed, nicely boned, good pasterns and feet. Balanced all through, moderate in his angulation at the rear with strong hocks. Wasn’t showing himself off to advantage today as he was distracted by something however the quality showed through but he had to settle for Reserve Best Dog.

1st 5988 - Simden Born to Boogie (Mrs J Cole)

Very raw baby but everything is there, once she matures and bodies up. Pretty head, lovely reach of neck into correct lay of shoulder. Straight fores, nice feet. Good length of rib and depth of chest, the width will come with time. Well angulated rear, muscling is coming along well for her age. Elegant mover. Best Puppy in Breed.

1st 5998 - Simberger Perfect Blend JW (Mrs L Simpson)

Pretty bitch who is good for size, well balanced with good bone and substance. Elegant head, good skull to muzzle ratio, dark eye. Nice neck and good lay of shoulder. Good width and depth to chest. Nicely level topline which she holds well. In good muscle tone all through, good angulation at the back with sturdy hocks. Very active on the move, just a touch overreaching at times.

2nd 5993 - Cleon Sweetkins Dogenius at Aslanbek (Ms Ta Presswell)

Another very pretty head on this bitch. Good eye colour and shape, strong jaw with a good length of muzzle. Well muscled neck, good fore construction. Excellent, tight feet. Good ribbing and correct topline, held well. Not quite as strong in the rear as the first, lacked a little bit of drive when going around the ring.

What an absolute pleasure this girl was to go over. Presents a beautiful picture on the stand, feminine and elegant, nothing overdone. Lovely head, well balanced and clean, excellent muzzle to skull ratio. Great reach of neck into well laid shoulders. Well boned fores, strong pasterns and excellent feet. Excellent width and depth of chest and ribcage. Strong topline. Well muscled throughout, rear angulation balanced with great width of thigh. Moved so well around the ring with a real driving, efficient gait. Pleased to award her Best Bitch and Best of Breed.

2nd 5992 - Nexgen All Eyez On Me (Miss C Osborne)

Another beauty. She has everything going for her. Balanced and clean in outline. Such a pretty head with a cheeky expression. Nice neck and forehand. Bone in balance with her overall size. Tight feet. Good depth to her chest, shapely underline with good tuck up. Muscle tone is excellent, she has strong hocks which gave her the excellent driving action when on the move. Pushed the winner very hard. Reserve Best Bitch.
