SCOTTISH KENNEL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW - OCTOBER 2024

DACHSHUND (MINIATURE LONG-HAIRED)

Judge: Mrs L Sexton (STKCA)

Thank you for the entry, it is always difficult taking over someone elses appointment. My overall winners were lovely but we do have to watch the size of our miniature varities especially now that scales will be going shortly. My biggest concern today was temperament which was shaky in a lot of the exhibits, they are supposed to be bold to the point of rashness. The atmpsphere in a hall shouldn’t be enough to upset the older exhibits. A little more forgiving in a baby but.. Also feet were not good , they cant do their job correctly with flat spread out feet. Class PD (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: WOODVINE-SHONE, Miss Hannah Hanishan Ice Fox A lovely elegant dog with a beautiful head and correct length neck. Good ribbing and his easy movement won him this class.

2nd: SMALL, Miss Karis Jade Minard Darque Red For Devondax Another nice dog and a close decision for these places. Nice head and lovely dark eye well laid shoulders and also good ribbing. Moved well but would prefer a little more ground clearance. Class JD (2 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: WESTON, Mrs K & JOHNSON, Miss V Dolyharp Don Ottavio With Ecotyne this dog had a good reach of neck and good length of ribbing . nice rear angulation and moved well.
