These were such competitive classes with some fantastic dogs. I’m sure many of my main winners could easily go on to become champions. A real pleasure to judge.

Puppy Dog (1,0)

1st: Ridgewell’s Kontrastas Leonhart. White Swiss Shepherd. A mature young dog who presented a nice shape. Head is in proportion to body. Well chiselled and wedge shaped with good parallel head planes. Dark, almond shaped eyes. Ears ok for size and with slightly rounded tips. Nice arch to neck leading to well laid shoulders. Good length and return of upper arm. Good bone for age. Deep chest reaching to elbows. Firm, level topline. Well-turned stifles and strong hocks. Tail reaches to hocks. Sound on the move.

Junior Dog (1,0)

1st: Brown’s Disadonna Sky Potions with Tamalden (Imp Fin). White Swiss Shepherd. 14 months old. Head in proportion to body and shows good parallel head planes. Slight stop. Correct length of muzzle compared to skull. Eyes are ok for shape. Balanced angulation fore and aft. Chest still to drop and broaden. Well ribbed. Lovely firm, level topline. Correct croup and tailset. Firm hocks. Moves well in profile, but a little untidy out and back.

Post Graduate Dog (4,1)

1st: Hackney’s Of Trebons Berger Blanc Boo (Imp Dnk). White Swiss Shepherd. Quite nice head which is well chiselled. Parallel head planes. Maybe a little too much stop. Dark pigment. Eyes were a little yellowy rather than brown. Well set ears with slightly rounded tips. Reachy neck. Nicely built with excellent angulation fore and aft. A tad long in body. Well set tail which reaches to hocks. Bit down in pasterns. Moves soundly.

2nd: Henshaw’s Whitehemi’s Brabham. White Swiss Shepherd. Shorter in coat and racier looking. Head is well chiselled and wedge shaped. Good parallel head planes. Eyes are a nice brown colour and almond shaped. Ears are well set and have slightly rounded tips. Good length of neck. Rather more angulation at the rear than at the front. Slight slope away to topline. In pristine condition. Moves soundly.

3rd: Clancy’s Hit Me Od Bijelih Andela of Whiteshire

Open Dog (5.0)

A super class with lovely dogs. Indeed ,one of my favourites had to stand 3rd here.

1st: Brown’s Kontrastas Hector The Noble with Tamalden. White Swiss Shepherd. A substantial dog with great ring presence. Wedge shaped head which is well chiselled but masculine. Correct degree of stop. Parallel head planes. Dark eyes which are almond in shape. Well set ears with slightly rounded tips. Good pigment. Lovely arch to neck. Very well laid shoulders and excellent return of upper arm. Substantial bone and substance. Deep chest. Firm, level topline Well-turned stifles. Excellent tail set and carriage. Excellent mover in profile with good reach and drive. BD

2nd: Emery’s Kontrastas Huntsman White Von Navajos. White Swiss Shepherd. Lighter in bone than 1st, but equally well made and very eye-catching. In super clean condition. Masculine enough in head with good parallel head planes. Eyes are almond in shape. Ears are well set and of correct height with slightly rounded tips. Good length of neck and very well balanced in angulation. I would like a flatter topline. Tail reaches to hocks. Very good mover in profile.

3rd: Yu & Halliday’s Int/NL/Lux Ch Pascale Enzotica (Imp Dnk) VDH-EW’23 SW’23 WOW’22 HCW’22. Picardy Sheepdog.

Puppy Bitch (1,0)

1st: Emery’s Freya White Alexia to Navajos (Imp CZE). White Swiss Shepherd. My notes just say ‘gorgoeus’. A beautiful bitch. Lovely feminine head with good parallel head planes and correct degree of stop. Well chiselled and good wedge. Lovely almond shaped eyes which were a nice brown colour. Ears of correct height with slightly rounded tips. Lovely arched neck. Super shoulders and good return of upper arm. Shows good width of chest for age. Ribs carried well back. Lovely firm, level topline. Well-turned stifles. Firm hocks. Well set and carried tail. Lovely muscular condition. So well balanced. Coat coming along. Super mover. Loved her. One of the nicest White Swiss I’ve seen. I predict great things for this one when she is fully mature. BP, RBB

Post Graduate Bitch (1,0)

1st: Perera’s Blanchutton Argent Bella. White Swiss Shepherd. Totally out of coat and not hiding anything. Nice type with wedge shaped head and parallel head planes. Slight stop. Dark brown almond shaped eyes. Shoulders a little upright and upper arm could slope more. Chest reaches to elbows but is a little narrow through. Firm, level topline. Moderate turn to stifles. Tail of correct length and carried well on the move. Moves soundly.

Another competitive class.

1st: Yu & Halliday’s Lux Ch. Stardust Halo Dolce of Xanadu’s Aria for Enzotica (Imp USA) NL JCH. Picardy Sheepdog. What a cracker! Medium sized and looking fabulous today. Her head is in proportion to her body. Skull and muzzle are equal in length with good parallel head planes. Well positioned stop. Long eyebrows and enough beard. Oval eyes which are so expressive. Ears are high set with slightly rounded tips. Neck moderate in length. Well angulated all through. Correct proportions. Chest reaches to elbows. Well sprung ribs. Firm, level topline. Well set tail which she carries well on the move. Harsh jacket. Such a free, effortless mover. She took my breath away. In super condition. A credit to her owners. No hesitation in awarding her BB and Best AV Import Register Pastoral. She looked super in the group.

2nd: Emery’s Brigam Snow White Wolf to Navajos. White Swiss Shepherd. A super bitch for make and shape. Excellent head properties being well chiselled and wedge shaped. Correct amount of stop, Lovely almond shaped eyes which are a good brown colour. Well set ears. Super angulation. Great body and bone. Firm, level topline. Strong hocks. Well set and carried tail. Super mover. Close up to her kennel mate in challenge for RBB. Two super dogs.

3rd: Brown’s Faith Follow Your Dream Lord of The North with Tamalden.
