Three Counties Agricultural Society

Breed: Swedish Vallhund

A lovely breed to judge and there were a number of very promising puppies here. I was very pleased with my BOB who must have a super future ahead.

Puppy Dog (2,1)

1st: Jone’s Valltineya Red Redemption. A super puppy of fabulous shape and breed type. Masculine head with blunt wedge. Skull almost flat and correct degree of stop. Muzzle slightly shorter than skull. Well defined mask. Tight lips. Dark brown oval eyes. Medium size pointed ears. Good length of neck flowing smoothly to well laid shoulders. Lovely straight legs and oval feet. Chest deep and long, Really firm topline. Ideal proportions. Well-turned stifles and low set, strong hocks. Harsh topcoat. Clearly defined harness markings. Superb mover. I loved him. A really great prospect and future Champion I’m sure. Easy BD, BOB & BP here.

Junior Dog (1,0)

1st: Howe’s Valaller The Photographer. 15months. Quite nice head with blunt, even wedge. Correct proportions of skull to muzzle. Eyes dark and oval in shape. Well defined mask. Ears are well set and pointed. Moderate angles fore and aft. Ok in bone. Deep chest. Firm topline. Muscular loins. Well-turned stifles. Harsh jacket. Harness markings present. Moves soundly. RBD

Open Dog (1,0)

1st: Howe’s Danga’s Lukas Jollyson of Valaller (Imp Swe). Handsome dog of quite nice shape. Decent wedge. Muzzle a tad long. Stop could be slightly more defined. Tight lips. Dark oval eyes. Ears are well set and pointed. Well defined mask. Good neck. Well laid shoulders. Good bone and straight legs. Oval feet. Deep, long chest. Straight topline. Slight tuck-up. Muscular loins. In good coat and condition. Not so clean on the move on the day as my BD or RBD.

Puppy Bitch (3,0)

1st: Price’s Pepperthyme Jeroboam. A charming puppy with a beautiful outline. Feminine head with almost flat skull. Well defined mask. Blunt wedge and good proportion of skull to muzzle. Dark oval eyes. Could hold ears higher. Moderate length of neck. Well laid shoulders and good upper arm. Chest developing nicely. Topline firm. Short coupled and muscular loins. Tail curves over the back - it is well set. Well-turned stifles and strong hocks. Covers the ground with ease showing good reach and drive. Harness markings present. Really pushed hard in the challenge. RBB

2nd: Pallatina’s Valltineya Lasso Ur Dreams. Larger than 1st. Quite feminine. Good blunt wedge. Well defined mask. Oval eyes that are dark enough in colour. Pointed ears. Overall, a good expression. Balanced in angulation. Deep chest. Good length through body. Moderate turn of stifles. Hocks could be slightly more defined. Harness markings present. Crabbed slightly on the move.

3rd: Rorbach’s Valltineya Bella Starr

Junior Bitch (3,0)

1st: Longhi & Francescato’s Valaller Paparazzi. I really liked the head and expression on this bitch. Super feminine but with strength. Blunt wedge. Flattish skull and correct proportions of skull to muzzle. Well defined mask. Lovely dark, oval eyes. Very well set pointed ears. Neck is a little short and shoulders a little upright. Upper arm could angle back more. Firm and muscular body. Cobby loins. Stifles could have more bend. Tail set on well. Moves wonderfully in profile, but persistently wide in front.

2nd: Biss’ Valaller Strike A Pose. Another feminine girl with good blunt wedge, tight lips and well defined mask. Eyes are dark and oval in shape. Ears pointed and well set. Preferred expression of 1st. Neck a little short. Moderate angles fore and aft. Firm topline. Muscular loins. Harsh jacket. Good harness markings. Moves out soundly.

3rd: Rorbach’s Valltineya Bella Starr

Open Bitch (1,0)

1st Biss’ Valaller Rainmaker. A mature bitch. Not as feminine as some, but does have a blunt wedge, well proportioned head, tight lips and well-defined mask. Very dark oval eyes. Lovely pointed ears that are well set. Neck of medium length. Moderate angles fore and aft. Deep chest. Firm topline. Slight tuck up. Tail set on high. Good bone. Harness markings. Moves sound enough in profile, but could move out slightly more for advantage. Edged out the lovely puppy on maturity for BB, but just preferred the type make and shape of my BOB winner.
