Bournemouth Canine Association

Breed: Norwegian Buhund

I so love judging this breed and I always seem fortunate to be able to find such quality. Always a delight and all were so well presented with such lovely natures!

Junior D/B (2,1,)

1st: Crocker’s Legatts Superstition. Felt this was a very promising puppy indeed. Of a really lovely shape. Head is lean and light and wedge shaped. Dark eyes. High set pointed ears. Medium length of neck. Moderate angulation fore and aft. Straight, level back. Body developing nicely. Tail set on high and has correct curl. Really sound mover. Great prospect. BP and must have a super future ahead.

Open Bitch (2,0) – Lovely class.

1st: Patrick & Ashman’s Ch Tapui Starla. A super bitch I last judged as a junior at WELKS 22 and predicted she’d have a great future. Quality all through from tip of her nose to tail. Lovely feminine, wedge-shaped head. Dark, expressive eyes and lovely high set, pointed ears. Dark pigmentation. Great in body with ideal angulation and straight, level topline. Deep chest. High set tail with correct curl. Lovely bone. Really classy bitch who moved an absolute dream on the day to beat another I like very much indeed. BB & BOB

2nd: Taylor, Taylor, Taylor & Frost-Tredwell’s, Another super quality bitch. Black and so standard fitting. Again, a great wedge-shaped head. Lovely dark eyes and pointed ears which are well set, but she sometimes does hold them down as she just loves everybody! Just preferred the expression of 1st. Great to go over with ideal angulation. Square in body. Deep chest and lovely straight, level back. Tail is high set with correct curl. In super condition and moved with ease around the ring, Love her. RBB

Veteran D/B (1,0)

1st: Crocker’s Knytshall Noor Ul Ain. A really classy girl with lovely square outline. Of a lovely type and full of character! Wedge-shaped head, dark eyes and high set pointed ears. Neck is moderate in length. Moderate lay of shoulder. Perhaps just a fraction more angulation at rear which doesn’t quite balance her as well as the competition today. Good bone. Deep chest. Level back. Sound on the move. In great coat.
