BASSET FAUVE DE BRETAGNE

OPEN DOG (2)

1. Allenby’s CH RANGALI TIGGER. Real quality, masculine of moderate length with a dense harsh coat, very well constructed and strongly made all through, pleasing outline, lovely well furnished head and lively expression from bright oval eyes, with good ear placement, excellent neck and shoulders, level topline, tail set on high. Moved steadily and truly with quick stride and stern well carried. Happy with a non-stop tail, a real showman, not surprised to find he is a Champion, lovely example of his breed. Best Dog.

2. Carter’s GOUVIER ESPRESSO MARTINI JW. Not quite the substance of 1,but masculine head absolutely exudes typical temperament, lively and friendly, a bundle of energy. Slightly more compact in build and shorter in leg, but well balanced. Moved out really well with lively action from strong hindquarters, well presented and handled. Reserve Best Dog.

JUNIOR BITCH (3)

1. Allenby’s RANGALI MANGO RABBIT. Beautiful 6 month old, first time out, not overawed by the big occasion, but full of herself, certainly lively, a handful on the stack. Full of quality and everything in the right place, so well balanced with a well proportioned feminine head, her overall type, construction, condition and excellent movement couldn’t be denied. Once she settles will be one to watch. Best Puppy.

2. Sharp & Martin’s SHIROBLAM STEP IN TIME WITH JOMAROSKI. Another very well constructed and so well balanced, typical outline with a lovely head and intelligent lively expression. Absolutely loved her for overall type, make and shape, but today she was carrying too much weight. This did not affect her movement in any way, so very sound and true with a happy demeanour, well handled, she will trouble the best when in hard condition.

3. Revens & Hyde’s BEABASS USHA

POST GRADUATE BITCH (3, 1 Absent)

1. House & Horn’s MOCHRAS MAHJESTY. Typey and very well constructed, lovely head proportions, sweet feminine outlook from well shaped eyes, correctly set ears, strong neck and sloping shoulders, level topline, straight front and rear, high set tail, very well balanced and moved soundly, fluidly and freely. Real quality, liked her a lot, should go far.

2. Carter’s RANGALI BOOTY LICIOUS. More compact in outline, overall balanced body, but a little heavy over the shoulders. Sweet expression and well proportioned head, high set tail, coat of harsh texture, well presented. Moved soundly, but not with the drive or as briskly as 1. Happy girl with typical friendly outlook.

OPEN BITCH (4, 1 Absent)

1. Leech & Thornton’s CH MOCHRAS MAHGAUX JW. Red wheaten with a commanding presence and outline, beautiful well proportioned feminine head, muscular neck, stands so correctly, free standing, lively, carrying her ever waving tail high, presented and shown to advantage. Moves out truly with quick stride, drive and propulsion, covering the ground with ease. A beautiful example of the breed, workmanlike and fit for function. Best Bitch and Best of Breed.

2. Leech’s MOCHRAS MAHMALADE BY JAMCHALA JW. I commented on how similar in make and shape she was to 1 and indeed it turned out they were sisters. Equally as well proportioned and constructed, in hard coat, well presented. Feminine and well balanced, also stand four square on strong feet with a level topline and highest tail. Moved equally as well, free and quick striding, just pipped today by the presence and showmanship of 1, her day will come. Reserve Best Bitch.

3. Allenby’s RANGALI PIXIE
