I would like to thank the committee of Border Union Agricultural Society for inviting me to judge at their show and my stewards Emma Scott and Margaret McCrave for organising the ring so well for me. It was a most enjoyable show, we were lucky with the weather, and I had some great quality exhibits to assess. Thank you to all the exhibitors for bringing their dogs for me to go over, I enjoyed this judging appointment immensely.

P: (3,0) 1. Morgan-Stanley’s Tumbril Twit Twoo It’s Golbourne. 8 month old puppy bitch with lots to like. Lovely size and shape – square and compact. Full of character, friendly and outgoing. She had a super head with large black nose, dark eyes and flat skull. Ample coat with good flocking. Good angulation and moved well. BPIB

2. Towers’ Enjanicka Rock Diva. Another lovely 8 month old puppy bitch. Compact and square with pretty, feminine head. Large, round dark eyes, black nose and correct scissor bite. Well sprung ribs and level back with slight rise over loin. She played her handler up today but moved well when settled.

3. Whateley’s Arkadian Alfredo Ferrari

J: (2,0) 1. Morgan-Stanley’s Little White Wonder Eskimo of Golbourne (Imp Nl). 17 month old dog. A beautiful example of the breed, square and compact. Well-constructed with level back and correct tailset, medium length neck, leading to well laid shoulders, well-muscled hindquarters. Dark eyes, correct dentition and large black nose. Plenty of well flocked coat. Moved well all ways around the ring. RBD

2. Mulligan’s Donocielo Maddalana. 17 month old bitch. Lovely feminine head with large round dark eyes, correct length of muzzle, flat skull, correct scissor bite and high set ears. Square and compact in body. Presented in natural state with plenty of flocked coat. She had good angles to front and rear and used this to good effect as she moved effortlessly around the ring.

PG: (3,0) 1. Mulligan’s Donocielo Mattia. 17 month old dog. A lovely example of the breed, square and compact in shape with a level back and slight rise over the loin. Plenty of coat with good flocking. Handsome head with round dark eyes, good pigmentation, correct teeth and wide flat skull between the high set ears. Good angulation and moved well around the ring.

2. Towers’ Enjanicka Evening Emerald. 3 year old bitch. A super example of the breed. Very pretty head with intelligent expression, round dark eyes, large black nose and correct scissor bite. Lovely outline on the stand, square and compact with a level back. Nice size and shape. Good angulation to front and rear. Presented in immaculate condition with plenty of well-flocked coat shown in its natural state. Correct tail set and carriage. She moved smartly around the ring with enthusiasm. BB

3. Whateley’s Belstown Beloved Amee at Arkadian.

O: (4,0) 1. Mulligan’s Donocielo Michelangelo. 3 year old dog. An outstanding example of the breed. Very handsome head with intelligent expression, large round dark eyes, large black nose, correct muzzle length and correct bite. Skull flat between his well set ears. Presented in superb condition with a lovely clean white face and well flocked coat. Well laid shoulders, elbows close to body. Well-muscled rear and good angulation throughout. He moved beautifully around the ring and was a joy to watch. A super dog! BD & Best of Breed

2. Towers’ Enjanicka Toscana Mio Caro. 6 year old bitch. Pretty head with look of intelligence. Round dark eyes, black nose, flat skull and correct earset. Presented beautifully with a natural coat displaying good flocking. A lovely character with plenty of personality, friendly and outgoing. Good angles to front and rear, square and compact, forming a correct silhouette on the stand. Moved well all ways around the ring maintaining a level back. RBB

V: (1,0) 1. Mulligan’s Donocielo Seraphina. 10 year old bitch, who looks so much younger than her years! Stunning head with large round dark eyes, large black nose, correct dentition and well set ears. Square and compact with correct angulation to front and rear. Lovely personality, friendly and happy. Plenty of long, flocked coat shown in the natural state. She was at one with her handler and moved beautifully around the ring. Considered for RBB. Awarded BV and she went on to achieve Veteran Group 4.
