I would like to thank the exhibitors for bringing their dogs for me to judge. Many of them didn’t move as well as I have seen them, due to the rain and puddles in the ring.
MINOR PUPPY DOG
1. KARAMYST FLASHLIGHT – Well what a cracking puppy to start with. 6 month black and white, well grown and masculine. Excellent head shape with a very good strong scissor bite, dark eye and resolute expression. Well made throughout, good depth of chest already, short , strong loin, and good length of leg. Well angulated , movement needs to settle but an exciting prospect. Won Best Puppy Dog over the more mature puppy dog winner on his better outline
PUPPY DOG
1. ROUTENBURN LUMIN – 11 month gold and white. Shown in good condition, with nice muscle tone. Good depth of chest , excellent tailset. He doesn’t really know what is expected of him yet and his movement was very erractic, he was more concerned about displaying his outgoing temperament than how well he could move.
JUNIOR DOG
1. ARAKI YUBETCHA – This 14 month old’s mainly white coat was presented absolutely immaculately, beautiful condition and nice texture. He possesses a well proportioned masculine head, with excellent pigmentation, really dark eyes and good bite. Good layback of shoulder , well sprung ribcage and he stands on well boned legs. He moved well, with a good drive and length of stride but has a tendency to poke his nose and occasionally lose his shape, but I got the impression that this was attitude
2. ROUTENBURN LUMIN – 1st in puppy, moved much better in this class
POST GRADUATE DOG
1. GENTLE SWEET SHADOW – Nearly 3 year old black and white. Basically well constructed, very well ribbed back and nice short loin. Nice dark eyes, but his muzzle could be stronger. Well boned, sturdy and good tail carriage. One of the dogs that particularly didn’t want to get his feet wet
LIMIT DOG
This class was headed by 2 very similar black boys, both carrying very large coats that mean you really have to get your hands on to feel their construction
1. SNOANDA DOING THIS MY WAY AT QUIDDITCH JW. This dog was a real surprise to me and won his first place on his absolute squareness. Correct size and shape, carrying a wealth of good textured coat which can tend to hide his shape but once you delve your hands into it, he is so well made and typical. Beautiful head, dark eyes, good bite and well defined stop. He definitely has a resolute expression. Sturdy and masculine, he has good bone and large feet. Good front and well bent stifles. He also is in hard muscular condition, unlike some of the dogs today. Pushed the winners hard
2. DEJARU MAASQUERADE JW - Very similar to 1, for perfection could have a smidge more length of leg . His beautiful glossy black coat was well presented and in excellent condition, obviously constantly maintained. Another who appeared to dislike the puddles and appeared slightly lazy on the move. Beautiful masculine head, with excellent eye and expression.
OPEN DOG
1. CH ARAKI JUSTA BOOT PERFECT – 6year old mature black boy who just felt absolutely right as soon as I laid a hand on him. Nothing is exaggerated but everything screams Tibetan terrier . He possesses a correct head with a lovely resolute expression. He is sturdy and well boned and carries an abundance of well textured coat. Everything about him is just so correct with no exaggeration. He has a very free and easy action when moving. He just quietly and confidently outshone the opposition. Very pleased to award him the Dog CC
2. HUN CH ARAKI SHAMANA JW. 3 year black and white who was handled to advantage today. He looked an absolute picture on the stand, being square and short backed well ribbed back and strong short loin, topped off with an excellent tailset. Very attractive head, with a good strong scissor bite. Good neck and well laid back shoulder. Not as mature as the winner, but one I would happily sign a CC for. Today he won the RCC
VETERAN DOG – No entries
SPECIAL BEGINNERS DOG
1. KARAMYST FLASHLIGHT
MINOR PUPPY BITCH – 2 lovely puppies at different stages of development
1. MYRLEA JUST AN ILLUSION – 8 month sable , full of character but just about containing herself. She presents a lovely outline, strong and sturdy but at the same time feminine. She has a strong head , excellent neck and good bone. Attractive coloured coat that is developing well. She moved well with good reach and drive and a particularly tidy hind action. Pleased to award her Best Puppy
2. ARAKI THE DEVIL’S CANDY – Very pretty 6 month old sable and white. Very nice head, good eye and mouth, slightly longer than the winner but she showed and moved well
PUPPY BITCH
1. ARAKI MISS XOTIKA – Very out going, naughty but nice puppy. Beautiful colouring, excellent pigment , dark eye and lovely expression. She has good bone but is also feminine, and has a good front. She is well made throughout and now just needs to mature
JUNIOR BITCH
1. DJANKAY BLACKBERRY SILK. Another naughty one, this time in black and white. Lovely size and enough bone, large flat feet, very feminine and has a general square shape which she retains on the move. Beautiful head with resolute expression, if a little wicked! Excellent tailset and bend of stifle. In between the bounces, she did enough to prove she moves very well, with good reach and drive and I happily awarded her the RCC
2. ARAKI I AM HOT YOUR NOT – Sable and white, stronger all through than the winner. Good neck and particularly good forechest and shortbacked. She didn’t keep her shape on the move quite as well as the winner but am sure these 2 will easily change places.
POST GRADUATE BITCH
1. ROUTENBURN KIKIMORE – A new one to me and I liked this silver sable and white a lot. She is the perfect size, square and sturdy . Good head with strong underjaw, enough neck leading into well laid back shoulders. Good chest and strong loin. At times on the stand she gives the impression of being slightly long, but I found her not to be, more the fact that she was lazy in holding her tail up tightly.
2. SANCHARA WHERE YOU BELONG JW – Very harshly coated grey and white. Larger than the winner, but still feminine. She has a well proportioned and attractive head and displays a lovely square shape. She moved well, with a very free action
LIMIT BITCH – 5 beautiful bitches in this class, I have admired all of them previously from the ringside but the winner just had to be
1. ARAKI ZOWIE WOWIE- This young sable and white has it all in spades. Beautiful feminine head, correct amount of stop, lovely dark eyes. Excellent pigment. Correct length of neck leading into well placed and well angulated shoulders, well boned straight legs, good chest and well ribbed back. She portrayed a very balanced, square outline, in lovely coat and of course well handled. When it came to moving , she just blows the opposition out the water. Tremendous reach and such accurate foot placement. She absolutely demanded the CC and to be honest, nobody came close to challenging her for it.
2. WATERLEY ANGEL EVANGELISTA WITH MALOCOMI. This 5 year black and white has always been one of my favourites. Lovely outline. She has a very feminine head, square outline and nice short loin. She has an excellent tail set. An old cliché I know, but she really was unlucky to come up against the winner.
OPEN BITCH
1. MYRLEA MOTOWN INK. Very nice, honest bitch who really didn’t like the wet conditions today. However, I found her to have a lovely head and very good square outline. Good ribbing
2. WATERLEY RHYME AND REASON AT DJANKAY. Fully mature black in excellent coat.
VETERAN BITCH
1. CH ARAKI KAUGHT’U AGAIN JW. 7 year old sable and white in fantastic condition, well muscled and perfect body weight. Beautiful head, excellent front and good depth of chest, good spring of rib and well angulated rear . Very well boned and sturdy, and has a very thick, well presented coat. if I’m honest a bit too much of her for my preference, but there is absolutely no denying her quality
