Leeds Toy Group.

Congratulations to Liz Stannard and her team for staging such a good show, and even providing some summer weather. I doubt most people understand how much goes in to staging a show of this size in what is basically a field, where everything needs to be brought on site. I thought the new layout worked really well this year.

I had a full Toy group, which was a pleasure to judge.

I shortlisted 8, including the Bichon, Ch Pamplona Rumour Has It, loved his shape and such a super coat. King Charles, Ch Cavallibrook Blimey O Riley, who has a lovely head. Min Pin, Jaegerson The Edge, v sharp outline and so typical on the move, and the Russian Toy, HR Ch Ch Fed BiH Boz&H Russiandream Floki Cannoli, whose shape and head I really admired.

4th spot went to the Smooth Chi, Yorone Make My Day. Decided he had done enough towards the end. Really liked his proportions, super head and a v smart mover.

3rd was the Pug, Ropanelie Texas Blue Star. She is so very feminine, carrying the right amount of body and I thought had the most super face.

2nd the Pom, Ch Gleniren All Eyes On Me. She is so short in back , with the right length neck just give the right outline for a Pom. Dark eyes with a super expression. Coat is so well presented and not the sculptured look that really does nothing for them. Shows her socks off and moves so very well.

My winner was the Maltese, Ch Delcost Centrefold. I just think she is fabulous. Like her proportions, super pigment. Lovely texture coat and such a wonderful mover, full of her importance.
