Leeds. Miniature Smooth Dachshund
I enjoyed judging this variety and think they are quite strong at the moment. I had expected to mind lots of oversize ones, not the case. A couple were clearly too big but that was it, the rest very clearly miniatures. Heads were probably the biggest failing, some were to short, often rather wide in skull. Quite a few had badly set ears, sticking out. The ground was not ideal, and some performed better than others on the day. Good to hear some applause around a Dachshund ring.
Puppy D (5,1)
Promising class, some coped with the ground better than others.

Really liked this dog’s proportions and he covers the ground so v well on the move. Masc head, slightly round in eye. He has a long neck into a well laid shoulder. Could have a bit more forechest. Long and sloping upper arm. Well sprung ribs that go well back to a short loin, and arera so many fail in across all varieties. V good rear. He holds a level topline. Looks a picture stood and on the move. CC, congratulations on a new Ch. For BOB he really went so well, holding his outline so he took BOB over a super b.
