Paignton. Min Long Dachs

First time for many years for CCs for this variety at Paignton. Decent entry. Sadly the variety has very few dogs with the correct length neck. Many are long in loin and rears could be better. Just a few had a correct Dachshund front. On the plus no real worries over size, mouths were all correct, and all well presented and not over coated.

Well marked pup, top size. He has a super head with v good eyes. Medium neck. Quite a good shoulder. Well sprung ribs. Topline runs up stood but levels off on the move. Moderate rear.

Liked his outline and a better size than 2. He has a lengthy head. Dark eyes. Medium neck. Well laid shoulder. Elbows could be tighter. Well ribbed back. Quite a good rear. He holds a firm topline.

2nd: 3482 STEVENS, Mr A & Mrs K . Dolyharp Amadeus At Sidburyhill

Lengthy head, slightly deep in stop. Ok neck. Good forechest. Well ribbed. Moderate rear. Not as good in hind action as 1.

Smart d of good outline. Likes his head. Dark eyes. Medium neck. Just a bit heavy over his shoulders. Would like more ground clearance. Level topline. Moderate rear. Accurate on the move.

Just a bit too long. Has a v good head. Decent neck. A bit forward in shoulder. Level topline. Could just use his rear better. Liked his underline.

She was the most together and held the best shape moving in this class. Liked her fem head. Super eye and pigment. Medium neck. She has quite a good front. Ok rear. Holds a level topline.

2nd: 3489 WESTAWAY, Mrs P G Minard Whispering Angel At Treranch

Liked her head. She has good ground clearance. Medium neck. Would like a better topline and underline. Moderate rear.

She is too long in back and her topline rises at the moment. She has a v good head. Super eye and pigment. Enough neck. Well sprung ribs. Needs more hind angulation.

She has a fem head. Super neck and a well laid shoulder. Lengthy and sloping upper arm. Well sprung ribs. Better proportions loin to rib than 2, but still rather too long in back. V moderate in rear.

She has quite good proportions. Liked her head. Medium neck. Shoulder more forward than ideal. V moderate in rear.
